Your mama may have had eyes in the back of her head, but our admin team just can't see everything at once. It takes a village to make sure TVTropes is running the way it should, so when it comes to spotting tech snafus, dreaming up a better digital mousetrap, or just diagnosing plain old asshattery, the quicker you let us know something's up, the quicker we can address it. See a bug? Point to it and we'll squash it. Have idea for a new feature? Post in the Tech Wishlist.

openVideos Not Transcoding?
Anyone else having problems within the past couple of days with videos that they've uploaded simply not transcoding? I had two videos that I uploaded I believe a couple of evenings ago - one for Robot Dog and the other for Shout-Out (not that it probably matters what they were for anyway). Normally these days when I submit videos, I receive a message saying that the transcoding is complete within a few minutes at most and they appear in my personal Recent Videos section. However, that didn't happen with these two even within just a couple hours ago, so I deleted them and reuploaded, but the new uploads still haven't processed either.
openPage not showing up?
The Miraculous Ladybug YMMV page is showing up as blank for some reason. All the other pages work fine, and I can still edit that page, but it's blank otherwise.
openSome Edits Are Not Visible
Page in Discussion: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/TotalDramaRamaS2E10StudentBecomesTheTeacher
While I was editing on TV Tropes, I noticed that someone made an edit on the "Student Becomes The Teacher" page. I initially thought this was going to be another "Jude Lizowski is going to be naked" episode judging its April 2020 promo. I noticed that a troper named Rognik (I saw it was him because I followed the page to see when it was changed) made an edit on that page. If his contribution was visible, then I would've read "Jude was actually in his underwear". However, his contributions were not seen on the page's history as shown here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Recap.TotalDramaRamaS2E10StudentBecomesTheTeacher
By looking at the provided page history, Rognik's contributions are not shown. I still thank him/her for helping me out on the page, but his/her edits are not seen. I don't know why some of our useful edits are not shown in the page's history.
closed Timestamps in edit histories forget "show all edits"
Clicking a timestamp in an edit history gets you an anchor link to that particular edit (random example). However, doing this after clicking "show all edits" loses the "&more=t" part of the URL that allows more than 15 edits to show, potentially hiding the very edit you clicked.
Also, even if the edit is one of the last 15 now, there's no accounting for the fact that, if the page keeps getting edited, it eventually won't be.
Probably the easiest fix to both of these would be for the anchor links to include "&more=t" by default, even when clicked from the short version of the history.
Edited by wingedcatgirlopenHistory links
Usually, using a time-stamp link will link right to that edit. Example: My newest edit on Characters.TheThreeMusketeers. But today I learned that links to edits not in the immediate history (ones that need to be shown by clicking "see all edits") don't work even with the time stamp. Example, linking to an edit from 2014, same article, only shows the normal history.
Edited by WarJay77openLongTitle.AnimeAndManga Relateds bug due to too-long title.
There's a too-long title in LongTitle.Anime And Manga that's making things not register wicks from it...
It's "The Strongest Wizard Becomes A Countryside Guardsman After Taking An Arrow To The Knee" Manga. My guess is that it's too long, so it breaks the wick checker.
So, what should we call the page to fix it? Anyone against "The Strongest Wizard Becomes A Countryside Guardsman"?
Note to Self: It's mentioned in Referenced by... in Trivia. The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, so fix that too when done.
Tropes: Shout-Out, Long Title, Definite Article Title, "World's Best" Character: Wizard.
Having the post be too long stops me from seeing the Replies button, apparently.
Edited by MaladyopenSidebar ads are extending out and obscuring parts of articles
When reading articles or anything else, the ad in the sidebar may change to something wider than the sidebar itself and covers up a portion of the page I'm reading. I'm using lefthand sidebar, for the record, haven't really tested this with the setting off.
openCharacters/TheSims is behaving as if it's an index
The Characters page for The Sims is acting as if it's an index page, for some reason. Its page type is listed as "Examples," but it's showing up in the Indexes section for the pages it's on. (For example, see the bottom of the page for the first trope listed on it, Actually Not a Vampire.)
openiPhone pop-up spam
I’m browsing this wiki on my iPhone in Safari when this popped up: https://tackis.xyz/translate/l2/?clickid=wot2l8amvh83u665i4qkt7b0&af_siteid=20bcf600-85fb-44d4-91fa-8c2ed9593aba&af_c_id=3041c669-0cd3-49e7-a880-8a8c2ba24551&c=23.06%2FCelebrity%2FZeropark%2F%206%20source%20ios&af_click_lookback=7&model=iPhone&brand=Apple&app=zipes
It says my phone has a virus (it would not notify me via web browser if true) and to download something. I had a similar one earlier today that wouldn’t let me use the back button despite not being a new tab. Not sure if this one is related but the pop-up are persisting. I don’t get these when using Safari on my home computer.
Is this a issue with the site or something on my end? Is there anything I should do? Is this the right place for such issues?
Edited by Ferot_DreadnaughtopenDouble Posted Draft
For some reason, there's two drafts called "Chaos Of The Bells" on the TLP right now, one made by Sum Dum Nerd and the other by T-Squared, but they're identical, and by that I mean the one "made by T-Squared" just directs you to Sum Dum Nerd's except that there's apparently a 2-post difference on the T-Squared one, somehow? The URLS are literally the same too. So what's going on?
Edit: Here's images to show what I'm getting at, since the URLS won't.
Edited by WarJay77openI can't seem to be able to post a post
I'm trying to find a film I don't know the name for on the "You Know That Show" forum page. But everytime I click submit, my post vanishes and doesn't get uploaded on the forum.
I've been trying three times straight with no success...any idea what I'm doing wrong?
openCutlist shows different cut reason and incorrect number of inbounds.
When I put MoralEventHorizon.Family Guy on the cutlist, I added it for the following reason: After cutting misuse, the page is short enough to merge back into YMMV.Family Guy. The cut page shows a completely different reason, and it shows that someone else made the cut request. It also says the incorrect number of abandoned inbound links; it says that 18 links are being abandoned, but when I put it on the cut list, it said 509 links would be abandoned. The only explanation I can think of is that someone cut the page earlier, and the cut page is showing the old cut reason instead of the new one.
Edited by Kevjro7openDiscussion page no longer show up in Following list
I have Example Indentation in Trope Lists on Following. I added a post in its discussion page yesterday, usually the discussion page will appear in Following list.
But not this time. I just tried posting another message there, and it still doesn't work. At first I thought it might has something to do with the page being locked, so I made another discussion post in Multiform Balance. But no, it doesn't doesn't show.
open"Unread Thread" highlighting
If I'm the last person to post on a thread, that forum remains highlighted with an unread post, even if the post is...well, mine. And checking the thread doesn't clear it, either. It just stays highlighted.
openCrowner Editing Bug
Apparently, non-logged-in tropers or even banned tropers can still edit crowners. This means they can vandalize them. The bug should be easy to patch; just treat it like anything else on the wiki.
openForced line breaks aren't working in a Trope Launch Pad draft
In Trope Launch Pad, I am overseeing a draft for a Tabletop Games of the 2020s index page. I'm attempting to emulate the "navbox" on top of pages such as Films of the 2020s. While there are currently only two other pages for this navbox, I hope there will be a project to backfill the rest of the decades in Tabletop Games.
The problem: I attempted to create a line break with double backslashes (\), per the page Text-Formatting Rules.
But when I submit the edit, it converts the line break into a single backslash () and joins the next line to its preceding line. When I press the edit button, the markup only has one backslash.
Even more oddly, the draft history shows that the system is saving the double backslashes. So, somewhere between me pressing the Submit button, the markup being saved to the draft history, and the actual draft markup being saved, one of the backslashes is being dropped.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a legitimate bug? I am making sure that there isn't a white space after the double backslashes. I also experimented with using triple backslashes (\) to force a paragraph break, but that too gets converted to a single backslash.
EDIT: Oh my god, it's doing it here too. Where I'm using parentheses, there are supposed to be the indicated amount of backslashes.

At the Video moderation requests, the first issue that was encountered was that videos listed at the top of a Video Examples subpage cannot be removed.
openEdit Reasons blanked
For some reason, my past edit reasons on Characters.Warhammer 40000 Craftworld Eldar appear to have been blanked. Other people on the page still have theirs, however, and a test null edit I made today still shows up though.
openHelp with indexing
I have been trying to index the recap page for Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series, but it doesn't want to index. Could someone fix this, please.
On OvershadowedByControversy.Live Action TV, inside a spoiler tag is a blue link to Bathtub Suicide. However, when you click the link, it takes you to the "we don't have this article" page. We do have Bath Suicide but Bathtub Suicide isn't a redirect. I removed the spoiler text to see what would happen, and sure enough, Bathtub Suicide is a red link. So spoiler markup apparently doesn't allow red links to show up?
