openFree Spirit Webcomic
Since Series.Free Spirit and Webcomic.Free Spirit have different creators, but the same characters (the latter is an unofficial fan-produced comic of the former), does or doesn't it seem necessary to rename the latter and its subpages something like, "Free Spirit 2014" (though probably with a Wikiword hiding the year).
openShort description and dead links Webcomic
Fairly often when I look in the web comic section of tropes I find something like "Alice shows how its done in Webcomic" with Webcomic being a dead link. Should I just cut those examples or redirect it to archive.org or what?
Recent example found in Non-Verbal Miscommunication with Those Destined. A webcomic that has been down since 2008.
open What would this trope be? Webcomic
http://parasitegalaxy.webcomic.ws/OurCharacterSoFar/%22 As I was reading Parasite Galaxy's character page I noticed the author seems to show support for communism as the protagonist is portrayed as having his sister in the Wapan Imperial Secret Police and I suspect that they don't think much of America because the name of the main villain(so far) is close to a meme-ish nickname of America. Would this be considered a broken Aesop? or Anvilicious? or is it a propaganda piece? To be fair I have only just started reading it and clicked on the character sheet where I read more about the characters and maybe I'm reading too much into the names but I thought I'd ask anyway to maybe gain insight
open"Bad" Comics for Inspiration? Webcomic
Here's the sitch - I've got me this fantasy story. The main character is your typical determined hero who is optimistic, a bit on the uncouth side, and not necessarily the brightest academic wise (but very knowledgeable in the emotional departments). It takes place in a grand fantasy world and follows this character and her troupe of friends in a slice-of-life/comedy/adventure story thats main priorities are character and situation interactions. How will ——- and ——- deal with ——-? What does ——- really think of ——-? How will ——- react when they find out ——-'s secret? Things like that.
While making this, I was inspired by comics like One Piece and Fairy Tail, two series that I enjoyed because of how much the characters and the world entertained me. The richness of the fictional worlds, the character's personalities and emotions, the relationships and their effects on others, and the problem-solving skills used when facing a formidable foe are all very interesting to me and things I really want to focus on. However, I've recently discovered that these comics, the ones that led me to identify all that I wanted in my own, are being criticized for lacking depth, being too generic, and overall just being bad. I'm not a critic myself, and I'm fairly new to storytelling. I just want to make a good, well-written story that lets people feel good while reading it, something fun for people to read. But if I were to adhere to a similar formula as these, if I were to take inspiration from these stories and make what I'd like...Would that be bad? Would nobody like it? Would it be shallow of me as a writer?
What elements from stories like these would I want to avoid? What are these weak points I hear about? Should I even be looking at these for inspiration? I just want to make a story that entertains people, and I can't do that if it's filled to the brim with flaws and writing cliches. Nobody would like it, and I can't stand producing things of poor quality. It wouldn't be any fun to do.
Edited by JambeeBeauxopenorder of examples Webcomic
Hi,
I searched and didn't find an answer to this, though I'm sure it must be written somewhere because your how-to-pages are great. I was wondering how examples are ordered in a given trope and a given folder. And, as I couldn't find a logic in the ones I looked at, where do I put a new example? Do I put it before the existing ones, because it's new and people will notice it better? Or after the existing ones because that's how it's done? Or somewhere else because there's a kind of order I didn't understand?
... Well, it's fun to be here anyway, glad to have found this site.
openDragon Ball Multivere Webcomic
Hello,
There is a problem on the https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/DragonBallMultiverse. A troper by the name of Kamina Squirtle added Jerk Sue. While I fully agree that the character in question is a Jerk Sue, any Sue entries are considered Flame Bait, so I erased it and put in the edit reason why. Kamina Squirtle added back the entry with no edit note.
Since any further actions on my part is an edit war, I can only take it here.

How does someone create new page? I keep getting "not authorised" no matter what I do.

I hate to complain about trope depictions again but I don't like the political content on the front page.

How do I title this page? This is for the webcomic 6-Commando (Military and Warfare Comics). Should I just title it "Six Commando"? Please advise.
Edited by megaroticopenBlatant Advertising on Webcomic/DrakonForge Webcomic
DylanKeefer, who appears to be the author of Drakon Forge, made a page on both the Webcomic and the...Namespace Goes Here namespace (which is...odd). He's not actually making a page with tropes on it; he's just advertising his comic and putting links for where he's hosting it so he can get ad money.

tropernumber1 has deleted an example on the So Bad Its Horrible page for webcomics, with the only edit reason being "Please don't remind me of that...".
open You know that show... Webcomic
I watched a tv show a couple of years ago (2000). I can only remember that it was a group of kids that travelled back in time and met a man and a mysterious owl. I think they were on an island. Anyone who knows what tv show I'm talking abou???
Edited by AmandiisshopenSuitable trope depiction Webcomic
Ahoy! I'd like to upload this strip for the main page. I'm a bit on odd of which trope it suits the most. My guesses are: Colbert Bump: Started off as a minor deity but became very popular when the Furry Fandom got her in the radar. Furry Fandom: Huge reason for her popularity.
Any other tropes that might suit?
Edited by Hawaii_KnutopenPossible improper merge? Webcomic
There's got to be a better way to write this combined example from Go Get a Roomie!, I'm positive of it.
- Allergic to Love: Played for Drama with Roomie, whose turbulent lifestyle inevitably causes anguish to anyone who has serious feelings for her. This becomes even more prominent in Chapter 26 when Roomie realizes she can't avoid the fact that she may have fallen in love with Lillian.
openSelfDemonstrating.Pilot still shows up on top bar? Webcomic
If you go to any pages for the webcomic Pilot, it stills shows a link to the long-deleted Self Demonstrating page. Is this supposed to happen? Is there a way to get rid of it?
openGaia Online Webcomic
How do you make a Tear-Jerker page for Gaia Online? It's Mainpage is a website, but I've seen tropes categorize it as "Videogame", "Webcomic", and sometimes "web original."
openClarissa Webcomic
I was going to make a page for the somewhat sad webcomic Clarissa by Jason Yungbluth, but I think someone else tried to make one but it got shut down or something. I don't know, chief, I'm more lurker than man at this point.
If for some reason Clarissa is banned from TV Tropes then I understand and will return to my pastime of lurking.

Over at Planet Zebeth, the article has fallen out of date and is need of updating (including any sub-pages). However the catch is any updates to the article may brush up against the "No troping real people." rule. The author of the comic has put some elements of her life into the comic including announcing transitioning from male to female and updating her avatar character to being female from the start.
If anyone can help with safely updating this article, it would be appreciated.
