Talsorian Games, makers of Cyberpunk Red and it's predecessors along with Castle Falkenstein, Teenagers from Outer Space, and others, is named after one of their investors, a Raisin Farmer who only invested in them for tax reasons. Reportedly the company was named after him because he was the only person who would never show up at a convention.

I only realized that shinesparking depletes health in Super Metroid this week. I never noticed until watching That Trav Guy's retrospective video on the game. If I ever saw that my health was slightly lower after doing a shinespark, I probably just attributed it to having grazed into an enemy earlier (by that point in the game, I have so much health that I become more reckless with my movement).

TIL of "Blood Drips Heavily on Newsies Square," a homemade comedy horror film made in 1991 on the back lot of Universal Studios during the shooting of the movie Newsies. The story concerns Don Knotts (portrayed by actor Mark David, with a hugely-extended underbite), who decides that he would be perfect to be cast in the production of Newsies.
However, after getting rejected by director Kenny Ortega, and thrown off the lot, Don decides that “if he can’t be in this movie…nobody will!” Cue killing spree complete with fake blood, death by laxatives, and quite a lot of swearing.

Both of Sony's Spider-Man Movie Continuities (the Spider-Man films and the Anazing Spider-Man films) have official reality designation numbers. This surprises me because I figured that Marvel wouldn't want to acknowledge them like that. The same is true of Fox's X-Men and Fantastic Four films though at least Disney owns them now.
