2[up] I didn't have that much trouble with the final BroodWar zerg level. I found level 8 to be harder. On the final level the enemy didn't apply all that much pressure, I had enough time to get more drones mining and make some units and colonies for defense. You do have to stay on your toes in order to hit the ghosts, reavers and battlecruisers, but it's pretty straightforward. Of course you also have to build up fast enough to go on the offensive and take resources before (1) your own minerals run out or (2) the enemy mines out all their minerals. I went for the protoss first because they have the weakest defensive position, their offensive units are more annoying (psi storm, reavers, carriers), and they're sitting on plenty of minerals. After they were gone, defense was easier and I sent a massive army of hydralisks and guardians to take out white and finally red.

I went after red first with an air assault (one full control group of Guardians, one evenly mixed group of Devourers and Mutalisks), though now I know for hindsight that I attacked from the wrong direction (from the south; I should've attacked from the northeast and went for the starports first).

Next I went for blue with a combined air and ground (one full group of Ultralisks, two full groups of Hydralisks) attack, which got fully wiped just short of finishing off the base (ground got wiped first, but air killed their Stargates before they got wiped by Corsairs). I rebuilt and the next wave finished them off.

I went for white last, using the same composition as I did against blue and had minimal difficulties.

My problem in this mission wasn't in the strength of individual enemy attacks on my base (except for the triple battlecruiser raids later on and that one attack where six battlecruisers came in rapid succession, those were a pain), it was from the fact that they kept attacking at the same time and whenever I attacked, the others attacked me while my army was away. I'm not very good at multitasking.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Beat two Legendary Spirits in a row in the Spirit Board (one of them in my first try out of sheer luck) and now I only have to beat four more of them to complete the "Beat a Legendary 10 times" Challenge.

EDIT: The AI just derped on me and gave me one more Legend victory, so that makes it 3 left now, I guess.

EDIT 2: Well, whaddaya know, "10 Legends" challenge cleared and Spirit Board page completed!

Also managed to complete Century Smash with Wolf under 4 minutes at the Great Plateau Tower (that's, like, 3 challenges done?) and did the "Beat an Advanced Spirit without using spirits 3 times" challenge.

Kingdom Hearts 3: I have every trophy in the game except the one for beating Schwarzgeist.

And that largely because I can't find it/get it to spawn, which I'll rectify with a guide/video later.

Castlevania 1: beat the game.

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood: beat the Werewolf that had kicking my ass like crazy, and also rescued Maria Renard.

Finished The Last Guardian after a few years of mostly forgetting I had it. I think I would have appreciated it more if I’d done the parts I had left in two sittings instead of one, but I enjoyed it.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: after some failed attempts and lots of DORIYAAAAHs:

  • Completed the final battle in World of Light without any KOs;
  • Finished all Challenges in the Adventure Mode page, and
  • Collected all Spirits - until the next DLC, that is.

I...kind of accidentally recreated the flight 522 accident in Grand Theft Auto 3.

I had an airplane parked in the Staunton garage, but I was thinking of ditching it since it takes up a lot of space in the garage and makes it inconvenient to fit other vehicles in. I took it out and did my takeoff on the center part of the Callahan Bridge, heading towards Portland. However, I was flying too straight and didn't get enough altitude before the end of the bridge, and so I accidentally triggered the stunt camera on the Portland end. The problem is, unlike a normal vehicle, the plane doesn't fall back down. So the camera never reset, and I never regained control of the plane. I had to watch as the plane flew in a straight line out of sight. After a few more seconds the sound cut off, and no vehicles or pedestrians spawned on the Portland side within the camera FOV, making the city look eerily empty. My minimap, however, kept tracking the plane's position over Portland. Eventually the plane (completely out of sight of the camera) must have hit the map border somewhere beyond the dock area and got automatically turned around the other way. The minimap tracked it back over Portland, flying roughly parallel to the bridge, as the camera also rotated back around to track its position in the sky (although I still couldn't see it). Finally, after a total of maybe 3 minutes in the stunt camera view, the camera reset to the plane and I was given control again right as the plane hit the water between the islands and sank.

Beat the Ancient Leshen in Monster Hunter: World. Geez, that was a long fight. Didn't get a Mutagen, but am still glad that I managed to kill it. Props to the team I was with as well, especially when it came to flash-bombing the creature.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: cleared Classic Mode at intensity 9.9 with K. Rool. Managed to reach it before the final boss by landing an unexpected Perfect on Donkey Kong - which made me wish there was a way to record fights on Classic Mode.

Also, with that, I have also cleared the Classic Mode page for the Challenges.

Finished all the story and phone missions in Grand Theft Auto 3. (There are still a few stunt driving missions I haven't done.)

It's a good game, but flawed in many ways too. Notably, I found that many of the missions weren't explained or balanced very well, so I had to attempt them multiple times, which was made even more tedious by the lack of a quicksave feature. For the final mission I stole a tank (I actually stole two tanks, and kept one as a spare in the Staunton garage) and that made it very easy, but I'm not sure how I would have beaten it otherwise; the time limit and the high damage output of the enemies would have made it very difficult, I think.

I completed the “All appearing blocks - no items” challenge from the Mega Man Legacy Collection. Not only that, but I cut it so close to the time limit that I’m pretty sure it’d be humanly impossible to do it slower and still beat it, due to the appearing blocks meaning you can’t just wait once you get right next to the goal.

[up][up]Done vanilla, without anything but the weapons the game deigns to give you during it, the final mission of GTA 3 is pretty unforgiving.

So I got hidden packages until I unlocked the sniper rifle to spawn in my hideouts, and before going to the dam, picked up an arsenal of weapons at the closest hideout (plus body armor). It was a little close because I got lost driving to the dam, but it's more than possible to do it, and having more than 5 sniper bullets makes killing everyone in your way so much easier.

Pokemon Diamond: Did the RETIRE Glitch for the sixth time. Fastest I've ever captured Arceus. On top of that I was able to Synchronize for a Modest nature, so its Judgment is really gonna pack a punch.

The new Zelda trailer reminded me I still needed to finish the Champion's Ballad DLC for Breath of the Wild. So I did. I also haven't finished the last Master Sword trial, but I don't know if I'm going to bother with that right now.

Finished Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy! Found it even better than Miracle Mask (the only other PL game I played), but I feel that many of the later puzzles (namely the optional ones available after the completion of the story arcs linked to the egg fetch quest but before the mandatory ones found in the Nest) were just harder sequels to previous puzzles; and some of them rely on either bullshit logic or very convoluted steps (I'm looking at you, Epic Quest 2! [tdown]). Also, while the Nut Roller and Bloom Burst minigames were incredibly cool, the Dress Up mode can go die in a hole (it's a shame, because I almost fell in love with the female character who gave it to me) — I haven't been able to complete even one of those dress requests, because every time I appear to complete a decent set, the woman tells me there's a piece missing; and when I put it she says another piece is wrong, it's a never-ending cycle.

Still, though, it is a very fun ride, and managed to solve all 150 regular puzzles. Now onto the Layton's Challenges (the ones I've unlocked so far) and the Daily Puzzles (I have completed 104 so far).

Since the teaser for the sequel came out, I've been playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild so I can complete some unfinished business - such as collecting all Korok Seeds. Just finished getting every seed from Hyrule Castle and am now focusing on the Death Mountain region.

I just finished Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. I needed a little help for the last few percents, but overall it was mostly my efforts. 100% Completion get! After 34 hours of play and something like 275 deaths.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled: Completed (crystal challenge aside, will come back for those later) the first area. Also, either the Rubber-Band A.I. has been turned Up To Eleven or I just suck, because I honestly don't remember Ripper Roo being that difficult in the original. If it's this bad when I'm just getting started, the other bosses are probably gonna be even worse... yikes.

I'm currently working on getting Sword/Shield-compatible 6IV male breeding stock of every egg group. I've got Magikarp (Water 2 + Dragon) and Snover (Grass + Monster) so far.
