TLP workstation thread

^Ok, I wanted to be 100% sure, since I don't want to get in too much trouble. I'll go to the draft and make an announcement in its comment sections about grabbing it and mention it in the laconic as well. Thx!

Umm, my TLP draft isn't showing up on the TLP activity section on the main page even right after I edit it. Is it the length of the name, its age, both, or something else? This isn't helpful since I would like some help on finding a few more examples.

Well, in the first page of TLP, it's currently right after "Jealous Romantic Witness (Launch 8/12)"...

Which was on that section of the Main Page the first time I looked, but not right now... Where the last one is only 30 minutes ago.

Trying to stay on the 5 most recently edited drafts, is not a good idea.

But the first page of TLP is a lot easier.

If anyone has more examples for this draft, I'd appreciate them. It has enough to launch, but the example list looks kind of unbalanced and I always want more.

I've been letting Conspicuous In The Crowd ferment since Febuary, but I haven't gotten enough feedback for my liking (even though it's technically ready to launch).

this hasn't been edited since 2016, is there any way I can adopt it?

My most recent draft, Deranged Park Ranger needs more examples and input on the draft. Nobody has raised any quality concerns.

Is my draft Spoilered Rotten enough to the point that I'll have to remove the spoiler tags? I feel this is something that's quite spoilery in nature, to say the least.

Deathly Drop needs a bit of expanding, and I'm out of ideas.

I have enough examples and hats to launch my Death Means Humanty draft, but I'd like to get more examples if possible, especially from non-anime mediums. Thanks!

Btw, have we dropped the "Don't Launch Any Draft Without Notice" policy? Don't remember having seen any for the latest launches.

For the policy thing, I don't think so. Those launched were either stealth/rogue launched or had a notice in the comments.

I have Poisoning The Communal Well on the TLP right now and I'm looking to get more examples. The idea seems solid but this is a context heavy trope so it's hard to come up with examples if you don't know a lot about a certain work.

My Non-Health Damage draft is available to be launched, but I'm having issues with how it works in cases of Multiple "Life" Stats, since what does "alternate damage" mean, when there's no "standard" / Hit Points for it be to alternate from?

Should I restrict "Non-Health Damage" to only the works with Hit Points? Or treat Multiple Life Stats each as Hit Points?

Got it! Just gonna expand the concept of Hit Points, since this doesn't need to occur in every game.

I'd like some input on the scope of Unusual Pop Culture Name. I imagined it to be a type of Unfortunate Names where the name is very clearly a pop culture reference that hits the One-Mario Limit (for example, naming your baby "Legolas"). It was suggested that I expand it to mundane names (for example, Diane from BoJack Horseman was explicitly named for the Cheers character). I think that dilutes the original Unfortunate Names reaction, however. So I welcome more thoughts on it.

Would it be ban-level-cheat-y to swap my Time Title draft, at 1:1, over to the related Timespan Title draft at 8:2 so I can launch immediately, after the 24hr wait?

I don't think it's ban worthy but it does seem like an intentional skirting of the 3 day minimum. Yes the wait period is for people to work out any kinks in a draft and get proper feedback and in some cases older drafts that are high hatted have worked through those issues. But that's not always the case and a lot can change on the site (creation of new tropes that fulfill what the old draft wanted to do, sitewide policy changes that impact trope creation, etc) over the span of time the trope was once introduce. The 3 day wait period is also to give people enough time to think about the draft and give feedback accordingly since not everyone is on the site all the time.

And I think that since this trope hasn't been seen in a while the 3 day period should still apply. There are some unresolved issues on the old draft too, like whether it should be a trope or an index.

Yeah, that's not necessarily ban-y but it is something that I'd feel pressed to report to the crash rescue immediately because you can't game the system like that.
