During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Meh, go ahead and cut all the Rest(NVM, this was weak willed of me) Even though I dislike the badge of honor accusation.
I actually have Simmular thoughts on certain Fan songs. but it's less to do with how much story there is, as much as With cases like DA Games William Afton its like Tim Curries pennywise. Sure, they count, But they don't really do much worthy of there own write up.

With that one, we get a full personality there and his motivation for committing his actions is pure sadism. That is more than what the games themselves depict (I mean even with the games, there is still some ambiguity to them). Other than that, the song was made way before the later games' events.
Not saying that the game Afton needs to be reevaluated, but at least in the novels we have the idea that he wanted to be immortal.

Here is my writeup:
Magdalena/Daredevil: The Demon is an ancient being, who after being captured and tortured by a group of monks, decided to make himself more powerful. Setting up a scheme to steal the innocence of the children, he kidnapped a dozen of young descendants of the men, who tortured him. Turning the children into statues, he made an armor for himself out of their souls and desired to bound them to himself for eternity. When Magdalena and Daredevil tracked him down he used children's souls as a "human shiled" and orders his enslaved children to kill them.

Thanks MGD: I didn't do the EP and writeup for Swing back in 2014, that was someone else, so beyond correcting the last line I'm not entirely comfortable rewriting it myself.
By the looks of it the Going Postal duo are unanimous yeas, pushing the total Discworld CM characters to 9 across all mediums. I'll draft their write-ups this week... Would this be enough for the Disc to start drafting its own page? It'd be as good a time as any if any of the Disc CM's need rewrites.

So I've decided to scrap my Sirenhead EP due to recent arguments on this thread. If the game gets a significant update, maybe I'll make a new one, but for now I'll leave it alone. 43, I know you wanted to contest a certain faceless horror after I made the EP, so here's your chance.
That said, I want to take a look at another example I was originally going to use as a defense: Not Important from Hatred. Literally the entire story is "I hate everything, so I want to kill everything." The story never deviates from the Villain Protagonist's fixation with his own murder-boner, and he ultimately proves to be unstoppable when he successfully blows up a nuclear reactor, destroying his entire hometown. An hour or two of mindless, merciless slaughter with zero substance. As long as we're trimming examples for not having enough story or character, I vote Not Important for another cut.
