I feel this may be Too Rare to Trope because of how specific it is, so I'd prefer cutting. Hell Is That Noise already covers cases of characters finding the noises unsettling, anyway (if any of the examples are character reactions).

Oh wait, the holler already said that the wicks were removed and I missed it somehow. Regardless, ~Tropers/Yindee you can't just cut a page's wicks like that without a mod call even if consensus appears unanimous to you. It's been then 24 hours since the thread was opened so it would have been best to just be patient as a mod was going to make consensus call eventually. Please do not do this again.

Yeah I won't definitely dumb move on my part. Glad to be shown very clearly why going rogue isn't a good idea. I can toss the examples back up.
Update: And done. I could readd the indices too, but given that neither suggested option involves keeping the trope, I didn't do that in this reversion batch. I can, though.
Thoughts on merge: Cut the page, merge the wicks I think would be a good solution.

Calling thread in favor of cutting Protective Pressure and merging (non-ZCE) applicable examples to Dramatic Wind. I am not sure if Dramatic Wind's description needs to be modified or not.

The problem: Protective Pressure is a trope about how, to quote the (very short and unclear) description, "Whenever the heroes enter a Mad Scientist Laboratory in an unconventional way, they'll experience slight air draft coming from inside (or the other way around). Same thing happens whenever a science-y MacGuffin is opened with a slight hiss." Unfortunately, with crosswicking and including indexes and so on, this trope would have just 19 wicks since its 2010 launch
. This makes it a Not Thriving candidate.
Possible solutions: Cut and/or yard, depending on how salvageable the concept is.
