Not Tropeworthy: Mixed Ancestry

Honestly, I have reservations about cutting, due to the number of inbounds. Maybe a disambig?

Between what?

I mean if we're merging/redirecting it with Interracial and Interspecies Love Index, we'll still keep the inbounds.

I was assuming that "cut and merge" meant that the page would be sent to the Cut List after the merge is complete, but I'd be fine with doing that instead of completely cutting it.

As a Mexican guy with a spanish and a french (or lebanese) heritage, I humbly say "cut and merge".

The "cut and merge" I proposed in the first post was specifically to the index, so I assumed we would be redirecting.

Made a crowner in case we don't already have enough consensus.

Was it hollered?

Well, the crowner's lasted more than 3 days, and it's pretty clear?

I don't get the crowner votes. People are fine with keeping an index in example lists of over 1000 pages? Or is "turn Mixed Ancestry into a redirect of Interracial and Interspecies Love Index" implying a cleanup is gonna happen and only flow text references are kept?

A cleanup will happen.

Looking at the page, I feel like since Mixed Ancestry will get redirected to the Interracial A Interspecies Love Index, there's space for a supertrope denoting characters whose mixed ancestry is in some way relevant to the plot.

So that would fold Child of Two Worlds into that index, presumably?

By “merge” everything goes on the index.

Frankly the reason I didn’t suggest keeping it a supertrope is there are already so many specific tropes, and “being biracial is plot relevant” is hella broad. Even the wick check examples that didn’t fit into an existing page followed some trends.

• Sort through Mixed Ancestry's on-page subtropes and add tropes that aren't yet on Interracial and Interspecies Love Index to the latter.
• Sort through Mixed Ancestry's on-page examples and move them to applicable subtropes.
• Redirect Mixed Ancestry
• Dewick Mixed Ancestry

I just did the first bullet point and removed the index from Mixed Ancestry (since turning an index into a redirect without disabling indexing will end up leaving a "ghost index" behind, for lack of a better term, so it would still show up at the bottom of trope pages).
