In the centre of existence, there is a place called the Quantum Axis. A place where all of reality comes together as one. Where anyone from all possible worlds and universes, everything that has ever happened and ever will, can coexsist in one glorious union. Assuming they have the means to get there.

But something has gone wrong. Universes and places that should be no longer are time. Timelines are being jumbled and rewritten, often for the worse. With the old timelines, the versions that used to be, cast aside like cannon fodder. They and everyone within them are dumped into the underbelly of the Axis, cast into a neverending hell. Forced to relive their unfortunate ends again and again like broken records. And with every timeline that is corrupted, the multiverse edges ever closer towards destruction, threatening to collapse under its weight.

But there is hope. With the corruption of the Axis, it has seen a change in management. The old guard replaced with those capable of the task ahead. The new guardian of the Axis, known only to those who know him as the Professor, has come up with a solution. Using the power at his disposal, he is able to pluck certain key players from lost timelines, bringing them to the heart of the Axis and offering them a choice. A chance to save their timelines and others, and bring the multiverse one step away from destruction...

...or risk leaving it all in darkness.

The Quantum Axis awaits.

Hey, everyone! Like the header says, this is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover RP. You're free to create your own characters with their own settings, but you can use any character from any work of fiction you can think of. Anime, books, movies, videogames — anything is fair game.

As for the RP itself, think of it as somewhere between your usual RP and a sandbox. There will still be a central plot, but you've also got plenty of freedom. Freedom to come up with your own plotlines, your own NPC's and villains, or to just take a break from all the craziness and let your characters just be. While still having that sense of direction.

The same goes for the setting. Much of Quantum Axis takes place within, well, the Quantum Axis. A multiversal hub where anyone from any place can come to, providing they have the means.

But there's another side to the Axis. Often called the Dark Axis, it contains old or discarded timelines. Universes that have been corrupted and can no longer exist in the current multiverse without damaging it. This is where your characters come from. In the Quantum Axis, they're free to interact with anyone and live their lives as they see fit. But in the Dark Axis, they'll be sent to all manner of different worlds and universes. Many of them have been altered or changed by forces beyond comprehension, and it's your duty to set them right. Or risk your own worlds being lost and corrupted forever.

CHARACTER CREATION SHEET
  • Name:
  • Age:
  • World: What universe or world is your character from? It's optional, but if your characters comes from somewhere, it'll help to let us know where they're from.
  • Appearance:
  • Personality:
  • Powers or Abilities: Self-explanatory. That said, try and keep your character from being too overpowered. You can have characters like Superman or Goku, but they need to be weakened enough to keep them from completing missions single-handed. Healing abilities are allowed, but can only be used after a fight for the sake of balance.
  • Gear:
  • Backstory:
  • Miscellaneous: Anything you can think of that doesn't fit into any of the other categories.

Also, one PC apiece. NPC's are a lot more flexible.

And I think that does it. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

  • Name: "Jo"
  • Age: Old. They themselves have forgotten. Likely a good few hundred years or so.
  • Appearance: Appearance can and will vary. Currently 5'11", naturally chocolate brown hair that's been dyed a deep red. Androgynous features and build; typically wears comfortable and covering clothing to hide their somewhat waifish form. Eyes are a pale greenish-blue, and they seem to betray Jo's true age by their often vacant stares.
  • Personality: Jo is tired, depressive, and weary—oftentimes hiding their sensitive emotions behind a stoic front and carrying themselves neutrally and quietly in most situations. They seem reluctant to make strong connections with people, but at least have a sarcastic sense of humour and an inner tenderness that suggests this is more a coping mechanism than a genuine want for avoidance. Though lost in their thoughts and difficult to read most of the time, Jo is remarkably passionate and prone to outbursts of intense emotion when their buttons are pressed; and when one of those buttons happens to be an ethical line, they'll never hesitate in speaking their mind or acting out as necessary. Jo is lost and confused in regards to their own abilities, and continues to fear the trauma and pain of their own death—as well as the confusion and adjustments they need to make after each reincarnation.
  • Powers or Abilities:
    • Reincarnation: Upon death, Jo's body begins an automatic cellular reconstruction process from the ground up; leaving only memories and core personality intact while otherwise completely rewriting everything physical from their appearance to their favourite flavours of desserts, as well as healing them of all injuries old or new in the process. Though the initial revival and appearance change itself happens a mere few seconds after their heart stops beating, Jo's reincarnation process will not fully complete until 24 hours have passed—in this timeframe, they are completely vulnerable to injury and will permanently die upon being fatally injured again. Furthermore, they will be delirious and traumatised after the initial process, and will often pass out until the 24 hour cycle has passed. Large electrical arcs and glowing heat may exude from them as they transition into a new body (this can cause second degree burns in those within a metre to them while this is happening), and all throughout the remaining 24 hour cycle their skin will be live with (stinging but comparatively harmless) static electricity upon being touched.
  • Gear: A thick journal; each few pages filled with records in different handwriting styles. Also carries a small silver locket necklace and a pair of dogtags—"Jo" is etched onto the latter for the sake of their own remembrance, and the former is never opened for anyone. Jo also carries a compact handgun, which they've carried over from a previous life.
  • Backstory: Little is known about Jo's origin and true nature, even to themselves. What they are aware of is that they have been around for a very long time in their home universe; so long in fact that they've actually forgotten where things even started. From eternity stretching back and to eternity pushing forward, all they're aware of is their painful form of immortality—having uncountable memories of many lifetimes either cut short or lived to the full; all ending painfully and traumatically in death. Their chosen name of ‘Jo’ is simply a practical choice at this point, as it's easy to remember and write down—and also much less confusing than their original self-given name of simply ‘Me’. In whatever case, Jo constantly seeks out groups to stick with and subconsciously desires to help others out to the best of their ability—a personality trait that seems ingrained in them completely and utterly, no matter what body they inhabit or character they otherwise have.
  • Miscellaneous: It is impossible to ascertain Jo's age through any supernatural or technological means; as if they're literally eternal and constantly being born all the time. Interestingly, they have a delicately buzzing aura of something unearthly detectable by those who can detect such things. Tends to shift personal pronouns with each incarnation, but "they" is usually acceptable to them in whatever body they have. Is always very British no matter the incarnation.

  • Name: Tibalt, Landless King
  • Age: 26
  • World: An uninteresting modern Earth but then briefly the fantasy world of Lotus.
  • Appearance: Tibalt is very typical of people from that weird narrow band that is a 'normal' Earth: He's a little bit tall but beyond that he looks like the kind of homely human that would be found on any civilian world. Short brown hair, darkened hazel eyes and skin that's pale despite how much time he's started spending outside amid the worlds. Nowadays, he tends to wear a lot of grey and practical clothing to prevent people from drawing any implications about his motivations or home whenever he travels. He's picked up a couple of small scars that he tries to hide with clothing, he's a little ashamed that he had obtained them.
  • Personality: Tibalt doesn't get angry. Correction; he gets angry just as much as he gets sad or encouraged or stunned into silent wonder, what he never does is get reckless. He tries to be a good person most of the time, being friendly and warm to those who don't bear hostility but when push comes to shove, he's willing to strike out on his own and be selfish when the other option gives him no benefit. He also is hesitant to stay in any one place too long, as though he fears something will follow on his tail.
  • Powers or Abilities:
    • Unresolved Isekai: Tibalt was chosen to save the world of Lotus and yet he didn't. He fled that world and ever since the narrative template of the unwilling protagonist has clung to his soul. When he dies, he goes somewhere else as yet another world calls for the aid of a hero. He never stays, he fears that finishing the 'story' of a world will clear this quasi-immortality from him and make him a mere mortal in a very deadly multiverse.
    • The Walker's Wish: Facilitating his flight from the world of Lotus was a wish Tibalt made on a singular petal; he bears within him an imperfect facsimile of a Planeswalker's Spark. As the multiverse has started to collapse he has found his Spark unstable and nearly entirely unreliable, only really capable of dragging him back to the Axis or out to people he knows.
    • Basic Training: At some point, Tibalt spent the time to learn how to use both the sword he carries with him as well as the basics of firearm usage. It's not a particularly exceptional skill, but he isn't useless in a fight.
  • Gear:
    • Light Shining in the Darkness: This golden sword ignites itself when drawn in combat and quite often those flames will melt the sword into uselessness by the time the battle is over. Thankfully the sword itself seems to reappear whole back in it's sheath whenever it is destroyed.
    • Everyday Carry: Tibalt has a smartphone, some snacks, two sturdy bottles of water and a notebook and pen in his backpack. Along with any loot he claims from his travels of course.
    • The Deck: It's... It's literally a nonmagical deck of Magic: The Gathering cards. He seems to take it with him everywhere, possibly as a reminder to himself of why he made his wish in the first place.
  • Backstory: Tibalt was meant to be a protagonist. Before the unknown death that dragged him into the world of Lotus he was just a normal student living with his parents on an Earth with no obvious magic or paranormal features. That's why he was one of the chosen dozen to be brought to a fantastical world that needed saving; He was meant to be a hero, to rise to the occasion and become the king that world wanted and knew he could be with just a few adventures... And then he left. Tibalt doesn't often mention how but he got a hold of a powerful wish, and used it to gain power to allow himself to leave the world of Lotus and forge a destiny of his own choosing. Since then he has travelled the worlds, taking in their wonderful sights and engaging in what heroism he deems an acceptable risk. This adventurous lifestyle is punctuated by frequent trips home to hoard his claimed trinkets and recenter his sense of 'normal'. Of course, as the multiverse started tearing he found himself trapped in a series of collapsing timelines, unable to help and eventually unable to save himself.
  • Miscellaneous: Tibalt has deduced there's a possibility that he's responsible for the collapse of the multiverse and he dreads the idea that he might be correct.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

  • Name: Kyle Cuthwald
  • Age: 18
  • World: Seemingly one very much like our own.
  • Appearance: A red haired and slate gray eyed, tall (about six foot seven) teenager who has apparently already acclimated to the idea of being trapped in another world - he wears a light leather and metallic armor suit, with the more metallic armor present on his chest, right arm, and lower legs. He's very well built, and most people say that Kyle has a rather frightening, deep-set look to his eyes, giving him a serious case of Face of a Thug. Compounding this is a scar on his jawline. Kyle seems a bit pale, and owing to how he looks, his smiles can be rather frightening looking even when he doesn't mean for them to be.
  • Personality: A lonely delinquent, Kyle was not very much who you'd expect to end up tossed in another world. Kyle was always mostly quiet and preferred to keep to himself. Mostly because of trust issues and the fact he doesn't want the fights he keeps getting into to end up hurting anybody else. Though he can be a bit of a Blood Knight, he tempers this with a surprisingly thorough set of moral guidelines. He likes a good fight, but that doesn't in his mind mean he feels entitled to be a jerk about it. When he does feel comfortable including someone else in his life, he tries to make sure they aren't hurt or in danger, which can manifest as him taking some rather drastic means for that. He's protective in his own way.
  • Powers or Abilities: The Goddess who is responsible for his present circumstance also set him up with a Magic Contract to "give him a chance" in the new world he got tossed into - specifically with the Dragon Lathlia. He got by far enhanced strength, speed, endurance and an ease at learning to fight with a sword, on top of various odd magical spells that are channeled through his sword. Notably however, the sword Lathlia gave him also has one final little quirk related to destiny, making Kyle immune to any kind of predestination or preordained conclusion (definitely not what his goddess patron had in mind). He can also summon Lathlia at any time.
  • Gear: Kyle carries around a sword held across his back horizontally in a scabbard which has two sides and seems to form around a blade of light energy at the middle of the sword. The pommel seems to have a number of engraved emblems. The sword is apparently called Morningtide.
  • Backstory: A...mostly ordinary teenager albeit a delinquent who was taken off into another world by the auspices of a goddess, named Rineia. She dropped him off into a hostile, almost standard seeming Isekai world. Medieval stasis, Evil Empire Good Kingdom, magic everywhere, monsters and such. Kyle spent the first week desperately trying to survive, but the Goddess seemingly took pity on him and gave him Lathlia's location. The dragon seemed to know who he was and what he was doing here, even alleging he was far from the first. She formed a Contract with him, becoming a summonable ally as well as bolstering his abilities considerably. From there however Kyle noted that his new dragon ally contradicted the goddess on numerous things, and a few times the goddess seemed to expect him to do downright cruel and heinous things in pursuit of the defeat of the Empire. Granted by then it had become quite personal, but Kyle wasn't about to do what the goddess wanted him to do. Their communications started to grow more terse, distant and cold, where at first Rineia seemed upbeat and constantly hopeful. Ultimately, it turned out Rineia had her own game she was playing, and Kyle did all he could to disrupt this plan, but he ended up thrown through the worlds after a final fight with Rineia's "true state" that incinerated the Empire's capitol and turned its citizenry to stone. It was apparently all Kyle could do to make it more of a draw and less of an outright loss.
  • Miscellaneous: Kyle is an expert survivor due to his time having to live in another world.

  • Real Name: Mason Itakari/Kamen Rider Fuse
  • World: The World of Build but with...notable differences.
  • Age: 24
  • Appearance: This handsome devil right here, white lab coat, glasses and all!. However, when he's here as Kamen Rider Fuse, is his suit.
  • Personality: Mason Itakari is high energy, spastic and generally one of the friendlier guys you can come across. He has a deep seated love and passion for science and knowing how things tick, and seeing new wonders in action. He's always got ideas cooking, and loves to share them with people who give even a remote iota of interest. However, when he's not being completely absorbed by his own scientific breakthroughs he tries to hard to be there for people to almost a fault. His world was destroyed and ever since then it left a scar on his mind about making sure that didn't happen again. He wants to help people, no matter where he is, or where he goes.
  • Powers: Aside from his super human intellect, Mason also has the Build Driver, a specialized tool that clicks around his waist like a belt, where he can place Full Bottles into the left (organic) and right (inorganic) sides, in order to get a combination for his suit. His six bottles, Horse, Fox, Manta Ray, Car, Oven and Plane each grant him different powers, but if it's a "Best Match", then a combo is even stronger than normal.
    • Horse Bottle: Increased Speed and Leg Strength
    • Fox Bottle: Enhanced Speed and Claw Attacks
    • Manta Ray: Capable of swimming through concrete
    • Dragonfly: Increased Dexterity, able to perform quick bursts of movements.
    • Snake Bottle: Capable of inflicting poisons
    • Car Bottle (Best Match with Horse): Increased Speed and Durability
    • Oven Bottle (Best Match with Fox): Fire attacks
    • Plane Bottle (Best Match with Manta Ray): Capable of temporary flight
    • Rifle Bottle (Best Match with Dragonfly): Capable of Gun.
    • Pyramid Bottle (Best Match with Snake): Increased defenses at the cost of speed.
  • Gear: The Build Driver, the Six Full Bottles and a whole mess of lab equipment before the world went caput.
  • Backstory: Mason's world was like so many others, to the point of it being dubbed "Normal and bland". That would be true, had it not been for the resurgence of creatures known as the Smash, peculiar creatures that seemed to sprout out of nowhere and caused untold chaos and havoc. Mason, thanks to his genius invention and having loads and loads of time to himself, created the Build Driver to help combat the spread and rise of them. And things were good for a while. He was helping people, stopping monsters and being a general typical hero. But like all good things, it wasn't going to last much longer. A new threat, known only as Evolt, made himself known, wiped the floor effortlessly with Mason and to show him just how utterly out of his league he was, unleashed a Black hole that tore his world apart and sent Mason into the dark abyss.
And into the Quantum Axis! Landing here with the knowledge that his world was destroyed, he makes a solemn promise to make sure that no other world falls like that one. So, he goes to work with anyone who can stomach him, in order to desperately fill the void losing his friends and family had left him, and fight to bring them back.
  • Miscellaneous: A pretty bad insomniac, and often writes things down on a notebook he always has on his person.

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?

  • Name: Nancy Weaver
  • Age: 15
  • World: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
  • Appearance: Kinda punky. Stands at 5'2" and weighs in at about 125 lbs.
  • Personality: She might look like a punk (because she likes the aesthetic), but she doesn't act like it. Nancy will try to help anyone in trouble to the best of her ability, because she believes that people have to stick together in hard times to pull through. She often cracks jokes to hide her true feelings and is a hard worker. However, she can be overly reckless and stubborn, especially if she feels like people are looking down on her.
  • Powers/Abilities: Nancy has the ability to generate a psychic projection of her will and fighting spirit, called a Stand.
    • Stand Name: Seamstress
    • Stand Appearance: Seamstress looks like a porcelain doll (with its lower half replaced by a single spindle) that's as tall as Nancy is, wearing a blue and white ballgown. It has long, tangled black yarn hair and wears a dark blue blindfold over its eyes. Mounted on its left arm is a spinning wheel and its right hand holds a sword-sized needle. Underneath its "main" set of arms that hold its equipment/weaponry, it has three sets of additional arms.
    • Stand Stats:
      • Destructive Power: C (Seamstress has a fair capability for dealing physical target either with its special ability or its own strength. When used to refer to Seamstress' physical prowess, it's about equal to an ordinary baseline human's.)
      • Speed: A (Seamstress can move fast enough to match bullets in short bursts. After Seamstress moves, it stalls for several seconds, making it open to attacks. This is further limited by its ordinary range of manifestation.)
      • Range: C (This is how far Seamstress can stray from its user before de-manifesting. This distance is about 15 meters.)
      • Durability/Staying: C (Seamstress has defensive capabilities about the same as a normal human/its user.)
      • Precision: A (Seamstress has exceptional reactionary abilities and is capable of obtaining information and sensory stimulation. It possesses far greater accuracy than a human does, and has a reaction time that is fast enough to catch a bullet.)
      • Development Potential: D (This rank shows that Seamstress cannot be improved very much beyond its current level with training and other methods. It is near the end of its developmental process.)
    • Stand Abilities:
      • Seamstress' special ability is to generate strong threads (which can be blunt or sharp according to Nancy's wishes) by rotating the spinning wheel mounted on its left arm. It is able to manipulate the threads very dexterously while they are attached to the spinning wheel, to the point of being able to form barriers out of thread if it has spun a dense enough mass. If it ties the thread to its needle (which can shrink down from the size of a sword to the size of an ordinary sewing needle), it can sew any two objects that the needle can "phase through"/puncture together, effectively fusing them. If Seamstress stabs its needle into a surface, it can acutely sense the vibrations transmitted to and within the object.
      • Nancy's amateur experience in kendo can also be used to use Seamstress' needle as an improvised katana and the spinning wheel as a weapon-catching device. However, Seamstress was not originally a swordfighting stand, so this is a makeshift mode of combat at best.
      • A Stand and its powers are generally invisible to normal humans, yet are able to affect ordinary items. Usually, only Stand Users are able to see other Stands and affect them with their own Stands, but since Nancy's arrival in the Quantum Axis, this has not been the case. Seamstress can be seen, and to a certain extent, touched even by people who are not Stand Users (if it is not phasing through them like a ghost, being a spiritual being and all). Seamstress is immune to all mundane weaponry and modes of attack, but any specialized weapon or attack designed to damage spiritual beings can harm it. If Nancy is harmed, so is Seamstress, and vice versa. However, Seamstress' dress doesn't actually count as part of it. Only its doll parts and the spindle that replaces its legs count.
        • As a side note, only those that possess souls are able to perceive Seamstress. Robots and golems (plus other forms of artificial life that do not possess souls) will not be able to sense Seamstress at all. Seamstress also cannot be caught on camera nor be seen in a mirror.
      • Seamstress is blind, so Nancy cannot see through its eyes like other Stand Users. Instead, its hearing is enhanced substantially. However, she can use it to communicate using its mouth.
  • Gear: A bamboo bokken, a skateboard, a pocketknife, and a lighter
  • Backstory:
    • Nancy is an ordinary girl, born and raised in the Japanese town of Morioh by her mother, Taylor Weaver, and an apartment full of weirdos in the absence of a father figure. It can be said that the morals imparted by her parental surrogates and her desire to protect her mother (who works as a seamstress and inspired her Stand's look) helped her to manifest her Stand. Currently, the apartment complex that she lives in is well-secured thanks to its residents' efforts (after it got pulled into an inter-dimensional kerfuffle) and Nancy now hopes that she can protect her friends from the ensuing chaos with her Stand.
    • She was the one who lent Hayato the recording equipment he needed to figure out Kira's identity and inadvertently let slip how Stands worked to Hayato while babysitting him, which helped him deduce how Bites The Dust worked later. She also accidentally moved an advertising billboard near the shop where she worked so that it would block the ambulance driver's view of Kira, thereby indirectly avenging her father's death at his hands.
  • Miscellaneous: Nancy is an amateur kendo practitioner and skateboards pretty well, so she's fairly fit for a girl of her age. Her education level is equivalent to a 10th grader.

  • Name: Carmaria Schett
  • Age: 17 going by her birth as a human, 1 going by her birth as an ant.
  • World: Hunter x Hunter
  • Appearance: As a Chimera Ant, Carmaria is a hybrid of several different species. Her face and hair appear almost human if not for a faint red tint, while other parts of her body, such as her legs, shoulders, and parts of her torso, are covered by a brownish red exoskeleton befitting her nature as an ant. In place of arms, she has the two long brown tentacles of a squid, while the shorter eight tentacles protrude from her stomach area. All ten of these tentacles have porcupine-like quills along the outside. For clothing she usually wears a midriff-bearing T-shirt and a skirt.
  • Personality: A generally good-natured girl, though not the brightest bulb. She maintains a chipper attitude in an attempt to forget her actions as a Chimera Ant Officer.
  • Powers and Abilities: As a Chimera Ant, Carmaria is naturally stronger and more durable than an average human, but her main ability lies in her Nen.
    • Nen: Nen is the ability to use and manipulate one's life force, or aura. Nen has four major principles:
      • Ten: Ten is the ability to shroud one's body in aura, offering limited protection against physical attacks. With practice, this shroud can be maintained indefinitely.
      • Zetsu: Zetsu is the ability to halt the flow of aura from one's body, lowering their defenses but also disguising their presence.
      • Ren: Ren is the ability to output a large amount of aura, amplifying physical strength and durability. Unlike Ten, Ren can only be used for finite amounts of time.
      • Hatsu - Quill Arrows: Hatsu refers to the user's specific Nen ability. Carmaria is an Emitter, meaning her talent lies in detaching her aura from her body. She combines this with Manipulator and Enhancer techniques to launch the the quills from her arms, shroud them in aura to increase their impact force, and control them at will.
  • Gear: Nothing in particular
  • Backstory: A human teenager raised in the anti-tech country of NGL, Carmaria's village was completely unprepared for the Chimera Ants. She was just one of countless victims taken and fed to the Queen. Afterwards, she was reborn as a Chimera Ant officer, with no memories of her previous life. In this position, she willingly and efficiently performed her duty of capturing humans to feed to the Queen. After the death of the Queen, the colony scattered, with some declaring loyalty to the King as he conquered East Gorteau and others wreaking havoc or attempting to found their own colonies. It was in this sudden loss of purpose that her human memories returned to her.
Disgusted with herself and with nowhere to return to now that she was no longer human, Carmaria took to wandering aimlessly, even as the King was defeated and the surviving Chimera Ant population reclassified as Magical Beasts to cover up their true nature. Eventually, she forced herself to take on an optimistic and upbeat attitude to help distance herself from the past and stop wallowing in misery. And then one day, she fell asleep in the forest during her travels, and woke up in the Quantum Axis, with no idea how she had actually ended up there.

  • Age: 1 year since creation
  • World: AzurLane
  • Appearance: Roon is a young woman who appears to be in her early to mid-twenties with brown eyes that are almost golden in color. She stands 5' 7" and has blonde hair with two strands of crimson red hair on both sides of her face, and on both sides of her head are metal fins which are mostly rectangular with a spike protruding upwards at the back of them that is a crimson color. When she is in combat she wears clawed gauntlets and armored high-heeled boots that reach up to her knees.
  • Personality: Roon is a kind girl and will do her best to make sure that those she considers her friends are looked after. When she is going up against those she views as enemies her personality switches and she becomes focused on destroying those who oppose her.
  • Powers or Abilities:
    • Shield: Roon is able to summon three groups of four hexagonal shields that hover in the air and rotate around her and her comrades to ensure that no attacks can get through easily. If they take enough damage though they break and cannot be recreated until all the shields are broken or Roon dismisses them and resummons them.
    • Ageless: Roon by her very nature as a KAN-SEN does not age and has always looked the way she does today.

The limbs have small double-barreled turrets mounted on them, the rear ones have two whereas the front ones have a single one.
  • Backstory: Roon is part of a group of six ships that were either never built or only partially built. They came about when the naval headquarters grew concerned at the new technologies that the Sirens were bringing to bear on them, with this situation in mind they authorised research into the secrets that hid within the Wisdom Cube. This led to the realization of the so-called Priority Research ships, who were designed to be for the most part stronger than KAN-SEN that had truly existed and fought in the war against the Sirens.

Six months after they were brought into existence Roon had been fully completed but told the commander who had completed her that she still didn't feel complete and that there was a void in her heart that she wished to have filled. Hearing this the commander and the others on base decided to find a way to help her find what she was missing.

Before she and her Commander could discover what she needed to have the void filled she was sent with a fleet to investigate a Mirror Sea that had suddenly appeared to the south of their base. The fleet fought hard until they finally reached the Siren who was holding it together, that they had identified as Purifier. An hour of trading shots back and forth ensued and they were able to defeat her, but when the Sea collapsed Roon was alone and had no idea where she was.

The Unknown Pleasure they were talking about
#15: Sep 28th 2020 at 8:34:59 AM

Name: Makoto Yuki

Age: 17

World: Persona 3

Appearance: Like so

Personality: Makoto is shy, quiet and reserved, but not completely lifeless, as evidenced by his surprisingly morbid sense of humor. He also cares deeply about his friends. It's also also hinted at him having an Ambiguous Disorder of some kind. He's also traumatized by witnessing the death of his parents right in front of him.

Powers or Abilities: Makoto has a Persona, which is essentially a personification (pun intended) of ones true self that they hide from society. His Persona is Orpheus, the son of the Greek god Apollo. This eventually evolves into Thanatos, the Greek god of death. Both are exceptionally powerful personas, but are nothing outstanding. Makoto himself is somewhat skilled in fencing, being proficient with a katana.

Gear: His Evoker, a gun like device that allows him to summon his Persona and a katana.

Backstory: Makoto's parents died when he was 4, traumatizing him for life. He had spent 13 years moving from town to town as an orphan, until finally moving back to his hometown at the age of 17. Starting high school there, he awakens to his persona and joins S.E.E.S. (Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad), a group at his high school dedicated to the so called "Dark Hour".

I can't say goodbye to yesterday…

Putting up my own character. She'll only show up for Quantum Axis segments and PC mission segments. For any GM missions, she'll sit things out.

CHARACTER CREATION SHEET
  • Name: Setsuna Kagura
  • Age: 20
  • World: The Age of Myths. A world forever stuck in the halcyon days of fables and legends, where All Myths Are True.
  • Appearance: Half oni with issues.
  • Personality: Outwardly, Setsuna is reserved, moody, aggressive, and aloof. She keeps her distance, generally being anti-social and casually pissed off at nearly every little thing. But beneath that, she has a very different side. When her barriers are down or she’s in the mood, she can be outgoing, feisty, and competitive as hell. She loves a good fight, whether it be fisticuffs or a good competition. And she adores getting plastered. But she hates those things as much as she loves them. Because indulging in them brings out what she considers her worst qualities. Unchecked aggression and recklessness. A love of murder and bloodshed. And a lack of compassion. None of which are traits she wants to have or things she wants to be. But there’s a small part of her that does. And with each step she takes towards becoming a full oni, they all get stronger and stronger. No matter how much she doesn’t want them to.
    • She also has a hatred of abuse. Anyone abusing or bullying others for any reason causes her to become vehemently angry and violent. In part because it reminds her of her father. And becoming her father is the last thing she wants. If it’s bad enough, it can bring out her oni side in full. Which only makes her anger and self hatred even stronger. Ultimatly, it's a vicious cycle. And only the Gods know where it will end
  • Powers or Abilities: Setsuna is strong and durable, if not as much as a full Oni. She used to be even weaker before her full oni self awakened. She’s also a skilled fighter and survivalist, having been trained by her mother and father in combat. She hasn’t had that much experience against humans or other races, but she has done a lot of hunting and gone on the occasional raid.
    • But her most powerful ability is one she only discovered recently. While she’s by default a half-oni, she can temporarily become a full oni, becoming much stronger, faster, and more durable than she is normally. The catch is that doing so brings her one step closer to becoming a full oni permanently. Each time she uses it, her base form becomes stronger and more powerful, but she gains more oni traits. Physically and mentally. Most of the time she can bring it out voluntary, but if she becomes angry or desperate enough, it can happen whether she wants it to or not. Which is a problem. Because she’s not sure if being an oni is what she really wants. Or if she’ll be able to hold onto the other parts of herself if she does.
  • Gear: Setsuna possesses a spiked club passed onto her from her mother, as well as a vintage wine-jug strapped around her waist.
  • Backstory: Born into a world still in the middle of the age of myths, Setsuna Kagura was something of a rarity. In her world, humans and other races such as yokai and oni were ever at each other’s throats. Coexistence was a foreign concept, and the only way they didn’t burn each other to the ground was by staying away from each other as much as possible. And yet, the two races occasionally met. On one such occasion, a man living in the countryside was having a drunken stroll on the road, only to run into a female oni that was even more plastered than he was. Their races' mutual hatred forgotten in their stupor, they quickly fell for one another. Literally. Tearing off their clothes, they leapt into the nearest cornfield and did as the Gods intended. By morning, both of them were back to their senses. The oni had awoken first, but she couldn’t bring herself to kill the human. Instead, she rushed back to her village, doing her best to forget it ever happened.
    • But fate had other ideas. After a few weeks, it was clear she was pregnant. Already married and fearing the wrath of her husband, she told him it was his. But nine months later, it was clear this wasn’t true. The baby born was neither fully oni, nor human. It was somewhere in between. Having bits of both races, but not conforming to either. Still, the baby’s mother refused to tell them she had sex with a human, fearing the consequences both to herself and her baby girl. Begrudgingly, the oni accepted her claim that she was fully oni born, though it was clear she was different from the others.
    • The girl’s mother loved her dearly, trying to raise her in the traditions of her people while teaching her that her appearance was nothing to be ashamed of. But the other oni told a different story. The other children mocked her. The adults shunned her. Even her father suspected that she was not his, often berating and abusing her for the slightest offence. Or for doing anything not ‘oni’. But this was easier said than done. While the girl was feisty and aggressive, she wasn’t as naturally brutish or impulsive as other oni. She was different from them, both in appearance and attitude. Try as she might not to be.
    • After years of trying and failing to fit in and live up to their standards, Setsuna couldn’t take it anymore. About to be on the receiving end of another of her father’s assaults, she struck him back. Instead of feeling triumphant, she was horrified. Not just that she had struck her father. But that she felt happy about it. Almost giddy. There was a part of her within that was still oni. Still revelling in violence and aggression. And... she didn't mind that so much. and that was what scared her.
    • She couldn’t take it any more. She ran out of the house, away from the village. She wasn’t sure where she wanted to go, other than anywhere but there. Unfortunately, she had the bad luck of running into a group of humans. Carrying thick clubs and bows and arrows, they had been out on the hunt. But with Setsuna, they had a very different sort of prey. She tried to fight them off. Even though she wasn’t as strong as other Oni, she was more than a match for your average human. And had there been no unpleasant interruptions, she probably could have got off scot-free.
    • Until one of them struck her in the back. That was the tipping point. She had been holding back so much anger and frustration for so long. Over not fitting in, of not being accepted. Of her abuse from her father. Of not being sure if her lingering glee in violence and bloodshed was a good thing. Or of herself. Of what she wanted to be.
    • She couldn’t hold it in any longer. Howling to the heavens, everything came out at once. Her muscles bulged, her stubby horns extended to a tremendous length, and her skin grew a bright red. Fangs jutted out of her mouth, and her belly bulged with sheer mass. And for the first time in her life, she felt truly happy about herself. And of everything that was oni. Cackling, she slaughtered the villagers, stronger than she’d ever been and revelling in it.
    • It was only minutes later, after the danger that was over, that she realised what was happening to her. And she was horrified. So much so that she reverted back to her half-oni, half-human form. Mostly. Instead of pink, her skin was a light red. Her horns had grown taller and were now slightly sharp. And while her body had always been toned, she was now showing a noticeable amount of muscle. And — the scariest thing — she was once again… happy. Part of her was mortified at having massacred those hunters. But there was another part of her that enjoyed it. Immensely. So much so that she couldn’t deny it.
    • At first bewildered, her mind slowly pieced things together. She had, however briefly, turned into a full oni. And in doing so, had pushed herself ever closer to becoming one for good. The thing was, the prospect wasn’t so scary anymore. But was it because she had truly grown more comfortable with that part of herself? Or was the oni part of her overwhelming everything good and decent within her? Terrified, she ran away in a daze. Not sure where she was running from or running to. And in that moment, she found herself in the Reach. What happens from there, only the Gods know.
  • Miscellaneous: Setsuna enjoys action films, raunchy films, eating, hunting, brawling, and getting herself plastered. But she gets embarrassed whenever anyone discovers she does. She also adores cute fluffy animals. Aside from being adorable, they always manage to calm her down, no matter how pissed off or angry she gets.

  • Real Name: Wolfgang Kalashnikov Jr.
  • Title/Codename: Little Wolf
  • World: A 21st century Earth, except supernatural creatures freely live amongst humans. Most humans have at least some magical ability or inhuman blood.
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: A small, bipedal, gray-furred wolf-man. Stands about 4'8". He wears shorts for modesty's sake, but is perpetualy barefoot and shirtless.
  • Personality: Overeager for adventure, willing to jump into the thick of things, like an excited puppy. Helps people in need wherever possible; as he likes to say, he's small but with a big heart. Incredibly forgiving, and believes there is good in everyone, no matter how wicked they may seem.
  • Powers:
    • Form of the Wolf: Little Wolf is a werewolf, granting him a number of linked abilities. As a half-wolf, he's comfortable both walking upright and on all fours. He's covered in fur, granting him natural protection from cold, and possesses sharpened teeth as well as claws on both his hands and feet.
    • Enhanced physical abilities: Despite being small and lanky, Little Wolf is several times stronger than a grown man. His real specialty is speed, however: by dropping to all fours, can reach speeds up to 120 km/h (about 75 mph) for short bursts. He's trained in hand-to-hand, specifically a sort of wild 'wolf style' used by his pack, which makes use of his natural weapons. His training has given him very good reflexes and timing.
    • Senses: He has enhanced senses of smell and hearing, as one would expect from a canine, though he's sensitive to high-pitched noises (e.g. dog whistles). He's also got better-than-human night-vision.
    • Regeneration: Werewolves heal much faster than humans, and given a few weeks can even regrow missing limbs or organs. However, they are vulnerable to silver - silver burns them on contact, and wounds made with silver do not heal any faster than they would on a human.
    • Full-Wolf Mode: Little Wolf can switch at will between his half-wolf form and the form of a true wolf. This form is slightly faster than his hybrid form.
    • Howl at the Moon: Under a full moon, Little Wolf grows much stronger, but also turns feral, losing control to his natural impulses. Though even in this state, Little Wolf is conscious enough to avoid harming humans. This effect is sealed by the charm he wears.
  • Gear: The only thing of note he carries is a small charm bracelet, which negates the effect the full moon has on him. It also provides minor protection against curses, hexes, and the like. It changes size so as not to fall off when he takes his wolf form.
  • Backstory: Born to a family of werewolves, Wolfgang was teased continually for being the smallest of his pack. While his grandfather Wenceslas, the pack leader, towered over humans, Little Wolf was smaller than average even as a child. Named after his father, Wolfgang, his family began to call him "The Little Wolfgang", which later wound up shortened to "Little Wolf". Picked on by his cousins for being the 'runt', he nonetheless proved able to roughhouse with them on even terms - for what he lacked in strength compared to them, his lithe frame made up for with speed. Though he loved his family, Little Wolf always felt he could be doing something more. Then the local coven of witches opened a way to the Axis on pure accident, and Wolfgang jumped at the call, ecstatic at the opportunity to basically be a superhero, and stop the world from falling apart.
  • Miscellaneous: He's at home in nature and can survive in the wild quite easily. He's an adept hunter by instinct.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

  • Name: Lapine 'The Garrote' D'Arrote
  • Age: The ripe old age of... 8.note
  • World: 'Anthroverse-B2', a high-tech sci-fi universe populated by Funny Animals - think of Star Fox and Bucky O' Hare, with a dash of Ratchet & Clank and a pinch of Zootopia.
  • Appearance: Armour on, armour off. Though not apparent without reference, she's only three feet tall.
  • Personality: Lapine seems to have a double personality, one for business and one for pleasure. On the clock, she seems like a humourless, no-nonsense professional - off the clock, she suddenly turns into a joker and a bit of a braggart. It's not clear which one is her 'true' personality. The one thing that's shared between the two personalities is an apparent unwillingness to get attached to anything, except maybe her equipment. She mostly thinks in practical terms, owing to her extremely short lifespan.
  • Abilities: As a rabbit, Lapine has all of the senses of her species, finely-honed by millennia of evolution, including sensitive, independently-swivellable ears, an acute sense of smell, and side-facing non-binocular vision, making her difficult to sneak up on. Her powerful leg muscles also make her an excellent jumper and kicker, making up for her height deficiencies. On top of this, being a seasoned bounty hunter and former Space Furine, she's more than capable of holding her own in a gunfight; she's proficient with most sorts of weapons, but she favours long-range rifles and heavy-calibre pistols, preferring accuracy over sheer rate of fire; and if caught unarmed, she's also trained in the Urssian unarmed self-defence system of Commando Ratembo, which revolves around quickly disabling opponents through bone-breaking joint locks, strikes to vulnerable areas such as the eye, throat or groin, or just plain ruthless beatdowns.
  • Gear: Lapine is never seen on the job without her suit of (regularly-polished) armour, made of an advanced, lightweight alloy intended to balance protection with manueverability, along with a mask and visor, which comes equipped with night vision, a communications uplink, and a rangefinder, operated via neural interface. As far as weapons go, she prefers a scoped Shock Rifle - very long range, but while excruciatingly painful, it is designed to incapacitate, not kill; that being said, if she does need to kill something, she always packs two magneto-kinetic Causs Pistols (no, that wasn't a typo. It's just that kind of universe). She also keeps Pulse and Cryo Grenades on hand, along with a grapple-cable attachment to her armour bracers - she sometimes uses this cable as a restraint or means of strangulation, hence her nickname.
  • Backstory: Lapine is tight-lipped about her past; she was born on the rabbit homeworld of Wendamir to a litter of 28, and as is custom among her people, was randomly assigned a job once her 30-odd day maturation period was up - it just so happened she was sent off to join the Mammalian InterStellar Union's Space Furines. She apparently distinguished herself in service while fighting a war against the MISU's rivals, the Ectothermic Federation, but - in defiance of her government - she quit the Furines after becoming disillusioned with the fighting, seeing the lizards and frogs of the EF as little different from her own kind. Then she became a bounty hunter, and made history by being the first ever rabbit to enter the profession and survive more than five months. In fact, she survived more than five years - and when you have other species crowding around you, thinking you're an easy target just because you're a small bunny, the amount of threat you have to deal with is practically quintupled, which allowed Lapine to amass a couple decades' worth of experience in about six years. Recently, she was hired by a mysterious client to track down an old friend of theirs... a creature called a 'human', some kind of hairless ape, who apparently broached the barrier between dimensions and entered Anthroverse-B2 from some other universe. Now that there's been several reports of spatial anomalies threatening just about every planet in the Anthroverse, there's concerns that this 'human's meddling with dimensions may be responsible. Thus, they need to be found and questioned - at gunpoint, if need be.
  • Miscellaneous: Lapine also owns her own spaceship, the El-Ahrairah. Fittingly, it's shaped almost like a huge, dark, metal rabbit, though it's actually pretty small, more of a glorified shuttle than anything - it's designed for rabbits and therefore is extremely cramped for anyone taller than four feet. As she's not that great a pilot, she prefers to let the ship's onboard A.I. do most of the flying. It's also full of hidden weapon and storage compartments, as it was a former locoweed smuggling ship she seized on the planet Bovox - they made good use of the hoverbike she keeps on board, too.
  • Lapine enjoys eating carrots, a lot. She doesn't eat them regularly, of course - like real rabbits, her kind find them extremely sugary and can't eat them too often without getting diabetes; they're basically the rabbit equivalent of candy, and too many carrots would be hell on her muscular physique. :V

I'll admit this is a little bit of a mish-mash and still unsure on some things power/backstory wise but if any of it needs changing on whatnot, just let me know. >.<

  • Name: Lee Sapavari

  • Age: 19.

  • World: Earth, 2200. Kinda.

  • Appearance: Yup.

  • Personality: For living in a world still in the process of in the middle of an invasion of monsters and terribly powerful dragons capable of somewhat warping normal places into more...surreal locations such as an aquarium into a giant crystal palace...one tends to either goes crazy or learns to adapt and take things things in stride. Lee's thankfully the latter, tending to be positive, level-headed, typically facing the unknown with open-minded enthusiasm and doing his best to try and support others, typically putting them first even if it's to his own detriment.

  • Powers/Abilities: Wasn't...sure what to go with, so gonna go with a few basic things the time being with reasons why being in the backstory, I suppose.

    • Spark Sword: Kinda what it says, really. Normally Lee would have more elements to draw from but after finding himself in Axis, electricity is the only element he has. Either way, the concentrated magic create a purple blade which essentially turns Misericorde into a longsword. Alternatively, he can infuse another person's weapon with electricity for a few minutes for a similar effect. ...It's not just handy for offense though, Lee can subconsciously adjust the voltage to either stun rather than harm or give anything that'd need electricity to run a jump start if it's out of power.

    • Flickering Life: Using Misericorde as a wand and drawing a magical sigil, it soon expands into a large circle that heals up to three targets at a time out of combat along with giving them slight resistance to magical effects in or out of combat. Before, it used to be a bit more effective and curing things such as poison or burns but now...it's not exactly much in terms of patching people up now, but every bit helps.

    • Lumiere/Valiant Blade(s): These however are less of making blades out of magic and more of his own energy and soul. The former's more of quantity and creating multiple blades which work as projectiles, a backup weapon or even a source of illumination. The latter is putting most of his energy into one large blade that can cleave through multiple foes or REALLY ruin a single target's day where the more energy he has or is willing to burn, the harder it'll hit. ...The drawbacks are pretty understandable though as he it'll leave Lee in a critical condition, nor can he use it if he's already in such a state.

    • Mechanical Marvel: Not so much a power as more of a skill picked up through necessity. With how much tech there is on Earth and keeping it running...or scrapping it for parts for something new is commonplace that part of Lee's duties was fixing old tech or making new stuff when not out in the field, something he's come to see as a fun hobby and showing a surprising amount of talent in. Conversely, he is only one person so it does take time to build or repair something as well as depending on what he has on hand. Still, if worse comes to worse, he can try and jury-rig something if absolutely necessary.

  • Gear: Misericorde. On the surface, a rather ornate dagger. And to be fair, it IS. Still works as weapon, especially when it's acting as a catalyst/conduit for his magic.

    • V.A.C Glove: With humanity wanting a way to keep track of someone's vitals and condition on the field by both fellow units and for their assigned 'Navigator' to help coordinate the unit better AND for aforementioned unit and navigator to communicate without something needing something separate like a phone. The V.A.C Glove ended up becoming a staple of most Drevandi students, especially with Unit 13. Normally the glove would broadcast these readings back to base but at Axis...it may be a bit too far for them to be sent. The LE Ds are a more basic indication of his vitals and overall condition, with green being best, red being very poor and the lights either going out means the glove's busted or Lee's in REALLY bad shape.

    • A Lot of Pockets: Those satchels and the like on his outfit aren't just for show. They're usually filled with sweets, medical supplies or tools and duct-tape.

  • Backstory: 'Earth' in 2200 is what some might call an ideal utopia with issues such as fuel, food shortages and diseases for the most part being sold. Others might say that cities becoming sprawling metropolises and there being far less nature in the name of 'progress' and...monsters being seen as the planet's 'vengeance' would be too much of a price to pay. Either way, the world kept turning, with humanity continuing to grow as a species and some lucky few being able to manifest almost superhuman sorts of abilities such as powers akin to magic or incredible strength.

    • It wasn't long before an academy specifically for such individuals was created...Drevandi. In truth, it wasn't so much for training someone in how to use their abilities as it was more of a normal academy to keep such powerful youths under surveillance.

    • Granted, such training was part of the curriculum wasn't mandatory as most of the populous being content that the automaton enforcers and peacekeepers were more than enough to deal with any monster that would managed to actually get into the city...it still caused a bit of a stir when Lee and three other classmates being the first group to actually enroll in the class in twenty years.

    • Compared to his fellow classmates...Lee was the most mundane out of them with his powers being...'nigh limitless willpower' while Cleo was strong enough to level walls with sheer physical strength, Evlyn being one of the few with magical talent and Jayce having a more...unique ability in literally being able to hack and modify characteristics of objects and living creatures. Despite that and how...different they were, the four of them had become close friends over the two years of training.

    • Things changed in the middle of their final exam, when the skies darkened and countless dragons descended on the world, reducing most of those robotic defenders to scrap with humanity...not faring much better. Countless people were killed either by the surge of monsters, the dragons...or the incredibly deadly flowers that began to bloom and become commonplace after the dragons arrived.

    • That's not to say humans would give up quietly, though. Most of those taking refuge in underground shelters were found to be compatible with an experimental serum that would could draw out or enhance one's natural abilities which would be a substantial edge to fight back...even if the side-effects were unknown. But with the choice being wiped out or fighting back, the decision was easy to make. And perhaps unsurprisingly, despite countless people in the shelter being compatible...it was those attending Drevandi that were forcibly volunteered.

    • Little by little, they managed to push back against the dragons...with things going awry as sixth 'True' Dragon parting attack opened some sort of rift in space and time and then...everything went dark. Lee eventually regained consciousness, finding himself separated from his allies and for some reason, feeling as if he was back where he started in terms of strength. Lee not sure what exactly happened, where he is or his friends ended up, how to get home...or why his powers being reduced to...well, what he has. But hopefully he'll find the answers along the way.

  • Miscellaneous: ...Not really enough to be considered an ability, but Lee's a pretty decent cook, especially when it comes to desserts.

Sorry for the late submission, but here we go.

  • Name: Yuan Fang
  • Age: 25
  • World: Futuristic OC setting with that mixes cyberpunk with fantasy elements,
  • Appearance: Like this. 7 feet tall and has retractable wings not shown in the picture.
  • Personality: A playful person that generally doesn’t take things super seriously. She’s known to have her brushes with the law and isn’t afraid to break them if she thinks they’re unjust, but she has a pretty strong moral compass in spite of this. Has a particular soft spot for those who’ve been wronged by authority.
  • Powers or Abilities:
    • Dragon Ancestry: Yuan is a half-dragon. Her draconic heritage grants her a tail, protection from fire, and the ability to grow claws from her hands.
    • Super Strength/Toughness: She is much stronger and can take much more punishment than a baseline human.
    • Flight: She can form wings from her back that allow her to fly at speeds of up to 40 mph.
    • Flame Breath: She can release a cone of flames in a short range in front of her. Alternatively, she can spit out fireballs that travel a longer range.
    • Hacking: Not a superpower, but she’s a pretty talented computer hacker/programmer.
  • Gear: A small, high tech computer straight out of the 2200s that can run off solar power. Also, she always seems to have rice wine at the ready.
  • Backstory: Yuan started out having a fairly uneventful life programming mobile apps for one of her world’s Megacorps, just keeping her head down and not to get into trouble. This all changed when she accidentally stumbled upon some information revealing corporate malfeasance that she couldn’t just ignore. This made for a pretty big story, but it put her life in danger pretty quickly. Private security started hunting her down, leaving her little room to breathe as she was forced to start moving around from place to place. She started to become a serious hacker, using her talents to strike back at the rich and powerful in whatever small ways she could. At one point, she ended up cornered by some corporate mercenaries and feared the worst. And that’s when she luckily found a portal leading to the world of Axis.
  • Miscellaneous: Always loves a good drink.
