DrinkingGame. One Piece haves a lot of fanfic-y bits with the characters talking about the various things you have to drink for. Should they be cut?
The best character is always the one-shot disguise. While the bits with the characters talking on the One Piece page are a little funny, they kind of stick out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the page (especially when the other Drinking Game pages don't have it). I'd say cut them.
(they/them)Yeah, most of the rules are snarking about stupid and illogical plot points. I've bolded the rules I think are pure complaining:
- Take a shot whenever something defying the laws of physics and/or logic happens. Have an ambulance on standby.
- Take a shot whenever Fender yells "SPARKY!" or nags at his son not to do something. Have an ambulance on standby.
- Take a shot whenever Speedy screeches something or is annoying. Screw it, the ambulance can't save you. It's better to squeeze the beer into atom sized droplets and slurp up one drop every-time she speaks.
- Take two shots if something disturbing happens by accident.
- Down the bottle if the Igor scene disturbs you, and curl into the fetal position.
- Take a shot whenever a plot twist happens.
- Take a shot for every animation error.
- Take a shot whenever Diesel gives bad advices.
- Take a shot when something stupid happens. Have fun dying!
- In the first movie specifically, take a shot every time it cuts to Norbert giving a disapproving head shake. You may want to take down your liver's last wishes beforehand.
- Take a shot when someone hits the stacked tires.
- Take a shot whenever Sparky complains about his dad trying to ruin his life. Troper, We Hardly Knew Ye.
Diesel's advices: Everytime Sparky does what Diesel told him, he regrets it, so they're considered in-universe as bad.
writer/producer/director/visionary/troper Ai-Fan The Master Of The Romantic (But Deadly) Drinking Game And Haiku™I found another Drinking Game page that's basically wall-to-wall complaining: DrinkingGame.Titanic The Legend Goes On.
Keet cleanupThe DrinkingGame.RWBY page is mostly okay, but the last section of it has veered into complaining. Looking at the edit history, a lot of these entries have been added over time by the same troper. While it might not look too bad on the surface, most of them reference fandom controversies (Ruby's speeches) or factor into the show's Broken Base, Base-Breaking Character, Seasonal Rot, Unintentionally Sympathetic and Unintentionally Unsympathetic entries (see YMMV.RWBY for those entries); they're therefore potshots.
Are people okay with me removing these?
- Take a shot whenever there's exposition in the house where team RNJR, Weiss, Yang, Qrow, Ozpin and Oscar are staying in Volume 5.
- Take a shot whenever the group is staying at any house.
- Dangerous Edition: For each subsequent episode they continue their stay at any one house (ex, the Volume 5 house), take another shot (so one episode they stay in is one shot, two episodes is two, three is three and so forth)
- Take a shot whenever everyone shows their anger towards Oscar/Ozpin for his secret-keeping.
- Finish your bottle in "So That's How It Is", where Qrow punches Oscar/Ozpin, as the former is sick of the latter.
- Grab another bottle and drink it when Oscar is mad at Ozpin.
- Take a shot each time Adam fires a Moonslice. (My note: this one isn't a problem by itself, but it's a duplication, so I'll be removing it anyway.)
- Take a shot each time it misses or doesn't cut something during his battle with Blake and Yang in Volume 6.
- Take a drink whenever Ruby makes a motivational speech. Take two if it involves a Broken Aesop.
- Take a shot when they cut away from a fight. Two if the fight is resolved off-screen. (Health advisory: drink with caution during Volume 5)
- Take a shot any time someone from Team RWBY or JNPR lie. Take two if it's Ozpin who lies, and take three whenever either party lies after the point Yang tells Ozpin that there should be no more lies.
- Take a shot whenever Ironwood does something evil for the sole purpose of showing he's evil.
- Take a shot every time an excuse for why the Ace-Ops lost comes up.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I'd say so, though the Ironwood entry doesn't sound that complainy if he's a For the Evulz sort of character.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)He's not. He's a hero who goes down the villainous route because the villains press his PTSD Trauma Button (several times) to trigger his Fatal Flaw (paranoia). It's played entirely for drama and is part of a long-running situation where everyone who ends up exposed to the burden the Big Good shoulders ends up cracking under the strain — how, depends entirely on their personalities. In Ironwood's case, it took him in an authoritarian direction.
He ended up as a Base-Breaking Character in the fandom because part of the fandom liked his descent into villainy and felt it was set up from the moment he first entered the show, while part of the fandom disliked his descent and felt it was character derailment that came out of nowhere. The entry comes across as a BBC potshot.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Maybe we can cut and/or rewrite complaining/nitpicking on drinking games?
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Well... I could salavage some of the ones in my post with a rewrite, as follows:
- Take a shot whenever the heroes stay at a house.
- Take a drink whenever Ruby makes a motivational speech.
- Take a shot whenever any character lies and/or keeps a secret.
- Take two shots whenever any character is caught lying/keeping secrets.
- Take three shots whenever any character owns up to lying/keeping secrets.
The ones I've not rewritten I don't think can be salvaged, they're pure complaining.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Okay, I've gone ahead and removed the complaining. I've rewritten the entries I thought were salvageable.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. Two weeks back someone created two drinking games about real-life situations, and they appeared barebones to boot. They're not even attached to any page. Just thought I'd bring it here to see what to do.

ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Don’t use the holler to ask us to weigh in on cleanup issues unless it’s very dire, please. We don’t micromanage project threads for a reason. If a thread decides something should be cut, use the cutlist and link to discussion.
Mind if I dust off this thread? DrinkingGame. The Clique, as I have found on the Meta thread, has some bouts of complaining on it.
Though I find the entry about the "If you're feeling suicidal... Every time an outfit is over-described, take a shot." kinda iffy.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔That entry is yikes. At best, it should be reworded and at worst, cut.
Victor of HGS S320 | "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember."I don't know much of this book series; only "cliqued" it (pardon the pun) from the Condemned by History page. Suffice to say, it looks nitpicky. I'm with you with either rewriting it or cutting it.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Bump. Rewrite or cut? It hasn't even been edited for 2 years btw
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔If it's being bashy, grab the scissors and cut away.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportTook days, but added it to the cutlist.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔I'm getting bad ROCEJ vibes from DrinkingGame.Politics, especially the American folder.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAgreed. It also looks like one of those drinking "games" that's just a bunch of "drink when common thing happens."
Should that be cutlisted or removed of its nitpicking?
By the way, I'm boosting this thread for June's issue of Trope Report. ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔
Does DrinkingGame.A Cars Life Sparkys Big Adventure have too much complaining?
