Please go through these pages first before posting here:
- Work Pages Are a Free Launch: Yes, you can go and make a work page for something by yourself. This thread will also cover work page subpages (Characters/, Recap/, etc.) and Creator/ pages.
- How to Create a Work's Page: The basics on work page making, covering most things from the needed URL to putting the final touches on it.
- How to Collect Tropes: A simple guide on filling out your work page's examples section.
- How to Write an Example: How to write a good trope entry and avoid site no-nos like Zero-Context Example and incorrect Example Indentation.
Now that you've read all that, welcome! Making pages for your favorite works and creators is fun, but we get that there's a learning curve, especially for new tropers. This thread is intended to help people new to work-page making, and can cover anything and everything you aren't sure about after reading the relevant Administrivias: whether or not an example passes wiki standards, if the formatting and layout of your page is all right, if the summary is comprehensible, or if the page has enough meat to stand by itself. Or simply if you need a second pair of eyes to take a look at your work.
Things that this thread is not:
- A place to request work pages to be made - This Is a Wiki; if you are familiar with the work, then you are the best person to make the page. This thread is intended to be a peer review of work pages that are in progress or newly finished. If you feel like a work deserves a page but can't go about making it yourself for whatever reason, please list it in List of Shows That Need Summary.
- For help with trope-making: see the Trope Idea Sounding Board (for incipient ideas) and the TLP workstation thread (for existing drafts) for help on that.
- For image selection: you can generally go and put up an image of the work by yourself (go through How to Pick a Good Image first, though), but if you have two or more suggestions, pop by Image Pickin instead.
Now - post your babies (sandboxes, new pages, TLP drafts, etc).! We are here to help. :-)

Now, what happens to the Sandbox page?
You can put it on the Cut List. Make sure you index and crosswick the new page.
How do I get permission to edit pages for an index or a trope page?
...You don't need permission?
Ok so for example if my fanfic page has a trope titled “Ascended Extra” on it. I am allowed to go to the main “Advertised Extra” page and type an example from my page under the “Fan Works” category?
You might want to slow down and look at some Administrivia pages, such as This Is a Wiki.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI've made a sandbox for Dragon Creek. It has a healthy number of tropes, but I'm struggling to flesh out the description.
Write some initial plot summary (if there is more than one sentence) and notable gameplay features?

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Consider adding
- Release (You say PC and release dates, but digital on Steam? physical copies, etc)
- Art style (8bit-esque? Are there cutscenes to tell the story?)
- Gameplay (clicking? button mashing? Are there minigames?)
- More on the plot (is there a goal to the dragon tourneys? What are they comprised of? How do you raise a dragon - do you bathe them? Take them on flights?)
I added more info based on your feedback. What do you think?
Hey all! Not sure if this is the right thread, but wanted to ask if I could disambiguate Literature / The Stepford Wives from Film / The Stepford Wives? Honestly, the single page is kind of a mess since it has to include 3 separate works (not including the other sequels).
That's better suited for the Making Disambigs for works that share names thread.

taterboi wuz hereThat's a stub. You must have at least 3 context-filled examples on a work page or else it'll be cutlisted. I suggest drafting it on a Sandbox page beforehand so you can work out the kinks. For tropes, perhaps describe common themes in their songs and what kind of music technique they use? And for the description (which is only one sentence long and that's not good), try describe who's a part of the band and what kind of music they tend to make and what messages they tend to express through their songs (for example, are they an environmentalist group trying to advocate for the environment)? (Tried my best, but I'm not super familiar with the ins and out of music, especially when writing about them on TVT).

Victor of HGS S320 | "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember."I indexed it, added an example and added the band members to the description. If you add one more example, it will technically no longer be a stub, but it still should have more than that.
thank u
taterboi wuz herehttps://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Sandbox/DummyPotatoSucksAtWorldbuilding page was gonna be a Web Original on TV Tropes at first how is it?
TROLL LINE EVERYONE BELOW IT HAS BEEN TROLLED ________________________________________________________________________________Closer to what we expect.
- Needs a proper description, what the work is about.
- Examples need to be listed with a bullet point "*" format.
- Check Zero-Context Example. In short, it's not the text need to be elaborating the tropes, it's the text that has to be sufficient enough that anyone unfamiliar can tell the trope is there. For example:
- How was Sans in terms of power originally and how is he here? Use proper English without Characterization Tags.
- Author Appeal isn't what an author likes, it's about author's work having an intentional recurring pattern.
- Hidden Depths is about seemingly flat characters having their traits elaborated. I hope you're not referring to yourself because real people are not characters.
- Examples Are Not Recent: Describe the work as-is, without future tense.
- Sort tropes in alphabethical order.
- The Wiki Word page will answer how to link single-word pages.

TROLL LINE EVERYONE BELOW IT HAS BEEN TROLLED ________________________________________________________________________________I've noticed that Slime Rancher has a redlink to its sequel in its description, which entered early access almost a month ago. Anyone want to help me with Sandbox.Slime Rancher 2?
I'm thinking of troping the two short films that would eventually be spun into Ted Lasso, An American Coach in London and The Return of Coach Lasso. They were done to advertise NBC's coverage of the Premiere League. Would it be appropriate to put them at Advertising.Ted Lasso, or would some other wikiword be better?
Let's see... I can't find an official playlist.
- This bonus footage video is called "NBC SPORTS PRESENTS: TED LASSO BONUS FOOTAGE" in the title field, but "EXTRA TIME WITH COACH LASSO" in the video itself (0:13).
- This behind-the-scenes video for the first promo is called "Behind-the-scenes with Coach Ted Lasso".
- This upload of "An American Coach in London" on nbcsports.com is called "Coach Ted Lasso: Full film".
- Extra Time with Coach Lasso (includes both "The Return of Coach Lasso" and the aforementioned bonus footage vid "Extra Time with Coach Lasso")
- Jason Sudeikis as Coach Lasso: Premier League merriment
- VIDEO: Coach Ted Lasso returns to NBC for 2014-15 Premier League season
I guess Advertising.Ted Lasso, Advertising.Coach Lasso, and Advertising.Coach Ted Lasso all have some basis?

Hmm... seems like "Coach Lasso" wins the numbers game? I might go with that.
