Please go through these pages first before posting here:
- Work Pages Are a Free Launch: Yes, you can go and make a work page for something by yourself. This thread will also cover work page subpages (Characters/, Recap/, etc.) and Creator/ pages.
- How to Create a Work's Page: The basics on work page making, covering most things from the needed URL to putting the final touches on it.
- How to Collect Tropes: A simple guide on filling out your work page's examples section.
- How to Write an Example: How to write a good trope entry and avoid site no-nos like Zero-Context Example and incorrect Example Indentation.
Now that you've read all that, welcome! Making pages for your favorite works and creators is fun, but we get that there's a learning curve, especially for new tropers. This thread is intended to help people new to work-page making, and can cover anything and everything you aren't sure about after reading the relevant Administrivias: whether or not an example passes wiki standards, if the formatting and layout of your page is all right, if the summary is comprehensible, or if the page has enough meat to stand by itself. Or simply if you need a second pair of eyes to take a look at your work.
Things that this thread is not:
- A place to request work pages to be made - This Is a Wiki; if you are familiar with the work, then you are the best person to make the page. This thread is intended to be a peer review of work pages that are in progress or newly finished. If you feel like a work deserves a page but can't go about making it yourself for whatever reason, please list it in List of Shows That Need Summary.
- For help with trope-making: see the Trope Idea Sounding Board (for incipient ideas) and the TLP workstation thread (for existing drafts) for help on that.
- For image selection: you can generally go and put up an image of the work by yourself (go through How to Pick a Good Image first, though), but if you have two or more suggestions, pop by Image Pickin instead.
Now - post your babies (sandboxes, new pages, TLP drafts, etc).! We are here to help. :-)

~Charles Phipps — It seems you are still struggling with Partial-Context Example so I took the liberty of commenting out the PCE I found in ^ and noted what was missing. I hope we can move past this.
Yeah, that was a backslide I removed immediately after it was pointed out to me. It was a bad use of the trope.
I actually posted in the Zero Context Thread over how to fix it but determined it wasn't proper.
Thanks for your help! I should have checked on using a new trope in "Is this an Example" thread.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Oh, and thank you for your help with Space Force (2018).
I'll try to correct the tropes with the help of the Zero Context Thread tonight.
I think I have a long way to go before I'll be making any new pages after this.

So far, this is all i got from the topics of the story.
What do you guys think about Lucky Spirit?
A few pointers:
- You need more context. You need to explain how something fits a trope.
- In Artistic Licence – Sports, for instance, you gotta spell out both what the Kentucky derby is like in the real world and how your fictional version varies from that.
- In Badass Crew you're not explaining what makes them badass.
- In Be Careful What You Wish For you need to explain first what she wished for, and then how it went wrong (since that trope is specifically about wishes going wrong).
- This line is confusing: line "Fearless Trick by FuryHearted Productions. (Fearless from Spirit Untamed and The Trick by AJR)" You need to be more clear that "Fearless Trick" is a mashup song with different lyrics than the two original songs.
- In general, you gotta work more on spelling things out. For instance, at The Cameo you just write "Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous", but that's a series, not a character. In each case, you gotta name the actual characters that appear.
- Your English is a bit off sometimes. It'd be a good idea to use the help with English thread in the forums, which is HERE. Your main issues are that you don't use complete sentences, and you don't use commas.
- You tend to list tropes that don't fit the description. You gotta read through the actual trope description and make sure that the trope actually fits your example. Tropes are like shoes: If they don't fit well, there's no real point.
Not exactly a new page, but I don't know where else to ask - Shapez.io has been renamed to "Shapez", and I'd like to move the page to VideoGame/{{Shapez}}. How do I do that?
"What I don‘t like about measure theory is that you have to say 'almost everywhere' almost everywhere." - Attributed to Kurt FriedrichsHow to Move a Page describes the process. Start by copying content into VideoGame.Shapez.
Thanks!
"What I don‘t like about measure theory is that you have to say 'almost everywhere' almost everywhere." - Attributed to Kurt FriedrichsWhile checking on edits after noticing a troper plagiarized a description elsewhere I came across Gate of Nightmares. Description seems fine, but of its 5 examples, 3 are zero-to-low context. Comic-Book Adaptation and Depending on the Artist seem okay, though I'm not entirely sure if Depending on the Artist is used properly.
I'll be sending a stub notifier to the page's creator, ~Ex Machina after this post, along with this post's ping. Posting here since this is where that notifier directs people.

Both those examples seem like they want to be on a hypothetical Manga.Gate Of Nightmares instead, and the Depending on the Artist reads Not a Subversion but an aversion (the art is the same) and thus not worth noting.
Depending on the Artist is on me, in that case. It did say averted at first, but I'm so used to "aversion" being used I assumed subversion was more likely and swapped it.

I recently created a page for the British sitcom Till Death Us Do Part. I could use some insight and maybe some help refining the page.

Can you think of any Plot Tropes?
Just to let someone know, I'll probably be starting up a page for that "Pantheon" toon that premiered it's first two episodes on AMC.
"I am the lord of Purity, who tolerates no deviation." My first online storyQuestion: I know 3 tropes is the minimum for a work page, but how many tropes are generally considered healthy for a work to have a trope page? I'm thinking of making my first work page for the 1987 movie Baby Boom (a relative of mine likes that movie and I was surprised there wasn't a page yet), and I wanted to ask not how many tropes is the minimum, but how many tropes should a page ideally have. What's a good number?
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallThere's no health counter for work pages, the more completely the work is described the better.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupGood to know. Thanks Amonimus.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallThanks, Mayor. I meant to page ~Alaska Native 999 to this thread after locking their first query, but got sidetracked when I couldn't easily find where it was.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. You're very welcome.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI went to “How To Create a Work’s Page”, but it’s not telling me how to rename the “Insert Medium/Insert Title” heading part of the page. I can only change the description and tropes.
Edited by AlaskaNative999 on Sep 21st 2022 at 1:01:33 AM
I went ahead and pinned this to make it easier to find (and also because the TLP Workstation is pinned).
1. Do you know what a URL is? This is important.
2. You need to change the InsertMedium/InsertTitle to the correct medium and title in the URL.

I think I finally got it. I typed in a URL in my web browser.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/SpaceJam2AcrossTheSerververse
It’s a blank page. So, I have to copy the information from Space Jam 2 Across The Serververse and move it to this new page. Right?
Yes.

Okay, here is my initial work and I would appreciate your insights.
I think I did it right.
