I gave the page a quick look and I didn't see it even listed as an example. +1 to remove it.
End it once and for all.

<(0_0<) <(0_0)> (>0_0)> KIRBY DANCEYeah, this kinda sucks. I thought the whole logic behind it being on AAP in the first place was the dichotomy of "Martin Scorsese, a director known for gritty movies, doing a family-friendly children's adventure film" — the 'children's adventure film' is kind of obviously the intended audience regardless of Scorsese's previous filmography, and it was not marketed as a film for fans of Taxi Driver. Also, completely text-reliant. Pull.

For possible replacements how about the bottom three panels of this Shortpacked! strip, where a very niche fan describes an essentially audience alienating remake of Transformers?
It's not on the example list, but at the time Howard the Duck suffered from this, being a comic book movie about an anthropomorphic duck who is as foul mouthed and lewd as Deadpool, in a time where the closes comparison was Christopher Reeves Superman. Here's a still where a "Playback" magazine has a black censor bar.
And here's a composite of the sex scene between Howard and Beverly. Maybe with a caption like "An obscure Comic Book movie!... for kids? ... adults?... fans...?"
The Shortpacked example doesn't feel like it illustrates this trope; the Loony Fan is the intended audience.
I'm OK with BUPKIS, since I don't really see any examples that properly do an in-universe lampshade and I sort of feel that's needed.
Locking as this is at the clocking point and has been dead since the pic was pulled.
The image was cut from Audience-Alienating Premise for being an edit of a movie poster. The image was later moved to Uncertain Audience, seemingly without discussion. I have looked at the two threads on Audience Alienating Premise, which do not mention Uncertain Audience at all.
