So while conducting wick cleaning for Cloning Blues (or Clone Angst, as it is now called) I found a trope that has around 30 wicks, making it barely above starving. I want to conduct a wick check to see if wick cleaning the trope would put it below starving akin to what happened to Baby Boomers, but I don't know what the trope is called, and I'm not about to go through all the Main tropes on the Cloning Blues related page
just to find it again - it was torture going through them all last night.

Was it Pretty Spry for a Dead Guy? I found it in the related page and it has exactly 30 wicks.
Other tropes I found there that have thirty-something wicks are Knocking the Knockoff, I Say What I Say, and Two-Donor Clone.

EDIT: I changed my mind about wanting to make that wick check. For now I'm gonna continue focusing on wick cleaning Cloning Blues.

Because it's a project thread and wiki talk is for policy discussions or similar efforts. It's rare for a project thread to be in wiki talk and if one does it's always either an evolved discussion thread or something like Trope Report. I don't see why this would belong in Wiki Talk at all tbh.

I mean, I'd prefer it be here for two reasons.
- Technically, collaborative wick checks are a "Project", and certainly "Long-Term", given that they are now basically required for TRS threads to open.
- It's more visible here. Not as many people read Wiki Talk and having it here is more convenient and gets more eyes on it.
If possible, I'd rather not have a Wiki Talk move.

So as discussed in the tropes needing TRS thread, Stations of the Canon is a "general examples" trope, only containing examples spread across fandoms rather than individual fics.
My question is, how would a wick check of this trope work? The trope is listed across singular fanfic pages, describing the events of only that fanfic and how it compares to canon. Does that make them inherently misuse?

That would be my take, though as noted my position to start with is that we should redefine it to fit that usage instead of doing the "general trends" thing, so I'm not coming at this from an unbiased stance.

A while back, Cartoon Whale came up in Trope Talk as one of the problematic "Stock Animal" tropes, with concerns being raised over zero-context and non-noteworthy examples. I want to do a wick check on it for that, but I'm wondering what categories I should use? Should I just check for zero-context examples? How would I check for non-noteworthy examples?

Just started The Mall Wick Check (trope link) based on discussion in another thread. Checked 5/50 examples so far and all are "malls exist" or "this work takes place in a mall". This isn't looking good.

Started So Audacious It Must Be Checked. Not seeing a ton of overlap of works themselves, at least from a quick glance over the wick pages, but meaning may still be the same. TBD once I actually finish pulling wicks. Will do all wicks due to lowish counts.
