"Shouldn't we have some sort of fancy transformation trinkets? That usually comes with the territory," remarks Ryo/Rosa as they search their pockets.

Felix: "Well, if they're following the usual schedule, they should be at school. "

Felix goes to the fridge and opens it, revealing a selection of lunch bags. He picks out one marked 'Blue Amber' and hands it to Lloyd. He doesn't seem to notice the other lunch bags are still in the fridge.

The man glares... well, you assume he glares. All you can see is his eyes and the small, uncovered part of his face between the black cloth wrapped around his head. He spits out a long string of Japanese at Houston, but none of you actually understand Japanese. Well, Lloyd probably knows at least some of the words, but Lloyd isn't there.

The man then tries to slap Houston's hands away from his collar.

Houston tightens its grip on the man's clothig.

He spits out more Japanese and then throws a small ball on the ground. Black smoke begins filling the small study room.

Most of you in the study room see a new pop up window appear.

Ryo remembers he already learned how to use his new body's appearance-changing abilities and so doesn't need MARI-SUE's help to transform.

Clicking on the virtual button will cause a brief shower of magical glitter, and then you transform into your magical girl forms.

The MARI-SUE system is capable of dynamically learning. When facing a foe it does not recognize, I suggest that you politely ask your opponent for its name, a brief description, and any special weaknesses. This way the MARI-SUE can update itself and then correctly identify the foe.

Rosa's civilian clothing changes into a strapless gray minidress with a sweetheart neckline that does down to her solar plexus and a skirt layered to look like rose petals. On her legs are thigh-high fishnet stockings and knee-high combat boots with pink roses embroidered on their sides. For the finishing touch, her twintails (and actual tail) are adorned with gray roses.

"Every rose has its thorns! El Cuarzo Rosa...SHALL FINISH YOU!"

Houston wrenches the probably-a-ninja out of the vent and hurls them into the center of the room, preparing to tap the indicated button on her HUD.

The moment she decides to transform, an image appears in her mind, of herself in a dark blue gi and a giant shuriken on her back. The phrase "I am one with the shadows" also comes to her, along with a very insistent feeling that she is to whisper it.

Suddenly Maria school uniform turned into a pink and white maid costume, with a kitty face drawn on the front, a couple of bow appear attached to her cat ears her silver cat tail grew longer and a large bell appeared tied to the tip, her hands turned into paws and a pink collar appeared on her neck, after her transformation a broom and a mop appeared on on each of her hands and she instinctively said "Servant to justice, Pink cat maid will hunt down those who follow evil like mouses" while posing like a cat who's about to scratch someone.

Upon pushing the button, a flurry of different catchphrases echo through Ian's mind... From those better befitting a movie director like "...and CUT!"... to those with more... unfortunate implications such as "It's reaping time!"... Upon deciding that none of those would fit for a transformation sequence, Ian ponders on one that would best suit Dreamblader, and to an extent, Daisy...

"Time to make the cut!"

In that very moment, Daisy begins to undergo a change... Her school uniform turns into a pink minidress slightly longer than Rosa's with a ruby star brooch on the collar. Daisy's eyes begin to spiral until she closes them, and when they are opened again, the light shines on them and they sparkle in all the colors of the rainbow. Daisy's flowing brown hair remains mostly unchanged, but is tied into cutesy pigtails... definitely offsetting the Nightmare Scythe which she summons and spins during her transformation.

"You reap what you sow... and I am hear to cut evil down to size! I am Dreamblader!!"

Looking at Houston Shuriken and Ian Scythe and then at her broom and mop Maria asks "Hey how come your weapons are way cooler than mine?"

Houston hurls the ninja to the middle of the room.

Houston hurls tries to hurl the ninja to the middle of the room.

Instead, he stabs her with a thin, bladed knife made of blackened steel and then begins trying to crawl back into the air duct.

Houston and the other two transform, each hearing a little ping and a notice of gaining one point of favor as they finish transforming.

You all have a brief moment to look at each other, to notice Houston bleeding and gauge relative coolness of weaponry, before the rising, obscuring smoke fills the room sufficiently to hinder visibility.

You hear a very muffled cry of "Ms. Strick! Fire!" from outside the study room, and then the sound of a fire alarm.

"oh no Houston"Maria said running over towards him "You need help? are you bleeding? can you move? do you need someone to carry you?"She asked rapidly panicking unsure of what to do.

"Oh no you don't!" shouts Rosa as she tries to tug the Probably-A-Ninja back down.

Rosa grabs the by-now-almost-certainly-a-ninja. He responds by kicking out at her.

Ninja-or-reasonable-approximation's level [3] x dice [5] = 15

The man's foot buries itself in Rosa's stomach, driving her to the ground and allowing the ninja to slip into the air duct.

The air is forced out of Rosa's lungs with an "Oof!" as she recoils a bit. "ちくしょう!^note  Son of a bitch! I almost had him!"

Houston winces. "Oh, that hurts..." He sees the very-likely-ninja trying to climb back into the vents. "Oh no you don't! Shadow Tag!" A kunai appears in their hand and they expertly toss it, hoping to pin the enemy by their shadow.

She blinks. "Wait, what did I just do?!"

Houston's cunning [3] x dice [2] = 6

Ninja guy's level [3] x dice [2] = 6

A blade of perfect darkness hurls through the smoke, stabbing into the ninja's shadow and temporarily pinning him in place.

You hear the door opening and then Ms. Strick calling out "Girls? You need to evacuate the building."

"We've got this covered, ma'am!", Dreamblader addresses Ms. Strick. "You just need to focus on getting everyone to safety! It is your prerogative as teacher to ensure that everyone has a safe learning environment. It's just as much your responsibility as it is ours. We will be fine."

Dreamblader focuses on the battle and Ian thinks to himself... "Oof... Unseen Shade doesn't look so good... I just hope I have a power that can help her..."

Maria goes over to the air vent and swings her broom at it trying to open it up and take away the route of escape From the ninja

Dreamblader can use her high affection to offer comfort or use the Nightmare Scythe to provide a guaranteed end to all mortal suffering and pain.

Maria swings her broom and...

...the pinned ninja twists to the side and kicks at Maria. Maria is barely pushed back.

"You okay, Unseen Shade?", Dreamblader asks, lowering her Nightmare Scythe.

Maria rubbed her belly in pain while she whined "Ah screw this" she said dropping her weapons and deciding to just slash at the ninja with her claws.

Unseen Shade grits their teeth. "I'm hanging in there..." Without conscious thought, their hands are forming a series of mudra that they somehow know will result in making someone trade places with a log. But since they don't have a log, they grab a nearby chair and try switching that with their target.

The ninja winces as Maria's claws dig in through his stylish but unarmored black gi.

Unseen Shade vanishes from the room, replaced by a chair with the bloody knife now resting on the seat.

Houston finds herself on the classroom floor, crouching behind Ms. Stern. Ms. Stern is still standing in front of the doorway to the smoke filled study room. The other two study rooms and the main classroom are otherwise empty.

With Houston no longer within visible range, the ninja finds himself able to move. He spits out what sound like a string of extremely polite curses and resumes attempting to escape via the air ducts.
