It was an age of Heroes.

That seems to be how it starts, yes? Back in the days when tales of heroism were relegated to books and tales of old around the campfire. Of telling stories to the children so they too, would dream heroes to battle against the beasts that rattled in their heads, to give them a sense of protection. Of safety.

But stories and tales simply weren't enough in the long run. No, after a while, stories and fairytales lost their luster. Now was a time for action. Now was a time for heroes.

There's a legend that in England's hour of need, a great and mighty hero would rise to defend it. While America has The Saint...England has me, King Arthur.

But even I know my limits. Even I know I cannot be everywhere and that the weight of a hero is tiring, but I do know there are good, honest people with powers the likes of which have gone unseen! Heroes in the making, an opportunity to make the world a better place.

And what better place to teach the young, budding heroes than an academy to show them the ropes of chivalry, of heroism, of honor?

Welcome, young one, for you have been accepted, to Camelot Academy.

...

Foreign Exchange is an official Spin off Alternate Universe of the My Superhero Sagas with the intent on bringing new stories about in the seldom seen world of England, taking place in a new school for the youth, Camelot Academy, run by Headmaster Pendragon and other heroes of various legends and folk lores. Here, they shape their powers, their identities, and ultimately, their destinies.

As with the rest of the world that this takes place in, Powers come in all shapes and sizes and come from various creeds and paths. Whether you got yours through genetic mutation or experimentation, whether you're a Petting Zoo Person or a bonafide alien, your powers come from suits of armor, years of training, the sky is ultimately the limit. Your imagination is your only limiting factor here.

  • Real Name: Marcel Dumont
  • Superhero Name: Marceau
  • Age: 17
  • Appearance:
    • Civilian: Due to his powers, he is perpetually black-and-white. His skin is white as snow, his hair and eyes black as night. His hair falls messily to his shoulders. He is tall, standing at a respectable 6'4", but thin and lanky.
    • Hero: As one might expect, he dons the outfit of a mime. Black-and-white stripes with black suspenders, and a black beret. Black greasepaint covers his lips and forms teardrops under his eyes, and he wears white gloves that are barely visible against his skin. On missions, he affixes his electrolarynx to his neck with a strap, which he then disguises with a black scarf.
  • Personality: Marcel is quiet but not introverted. Very much a comic, he has a tired, dry wit, yet paradoxically desires to see hope and wonder in others. He enjoys entertaining people, unless they’re overly aggressive, in which case he enjoys messing with them. He’s also a hopeless romantic, with a tendency to flirt or to play matchmaker with others when he can.
  • Powers:
    • A World of Gray: An odd side-effect of his powers renders him black-and-white. His body is devoid of color, perpetually in shades of grey, and this effect extends to anything that would color his body. Any clothing he wears will lose all color until he takes it off, and any kind of drawing on his skin (tattoos, bodypaint, etc) will similarly be rendered monochrome.
    • Silence: Marcel’s body does not make noise. No matter how loudly he stomps or claps, he is silent, and no matter how he tries to shout, he has no voice. This renders him effectively mute, but also makes him unable to be detected by sound (making him invisible to echolocation and super hearing, amongst other abilities). This effect does not apply to things he holds, enabling him to speak with the aid of an electronic voicebox.
    • Mimekinesis: Marcel’s main power is both the power of the mind and of the mime. Telekinesis, applied via pantomime. In essence, when Marcel mimes something, his telekinetic ability will make it real. He can, as some examples: pretend to swing a bat and actually hit people, pretend to push against a wall to make a barrier, or throw an invisible ball and hit someone. On the downside, the ‘objects’ he makes can be used against him by a clever opponent - for example, by deflecting his invisible ball back at him. Uniquely, his power can also produce heat, allowing him to - amongst other things - light a cigarette with an invisible lighter, or generate warmth by pretending to hold his hands near a fireplace.
  • Gear: He carries an electrolarynx to help him speak. He’s also never without a pack of cigarettes.
  • Backstory: Born to a Frenchman and an Englishwoman, Marcel’s father did not know of the power that ran in his own bloodline. It was only when Marcel turned gray upon his third birthday that Francois Dumont did research into his family history and learned of the psychic ability shared by many of his ancestors. Some great great grand-uncle of his had made some kind of pact with some unknown entity, paid for with ‘the sound and color of life’. Francois found records beyond that to be scarce, and to this day he and Marcel alike still search for answers. Though made a silent caricature by his powers, Marcel still tried to live a normal life. But alas, it was not to be. Desiring to use his abilities for something more worthwhile than mere entertainment, Camelot Academy was a natural choice for him.

  • Real Name: Steven Wander
  • Superhero Name: Myth
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Image
  • Personality: Energetic and upfront to the world, he lives each day as if it might be his last. Which given his rather cheerful nihilistic attitude he always assumes that it will be. That being said it hasn't stopped him from offering to help or give his life in service.
  • Powers: Legend Redux- The ability to take a legend and physically become its embodiment for a short period of time, with more famous and powerful legends burning through the ability faster. For instance if Steven is put into a situation where he needs to be physically tough he might call upon the legend of Hercules and shroud himself in the fur of the Nemean lion. Or for speed call upon the undisputed speed of Atalanta.

This power is held back from pure absurdity due to both the limited amount of time he can call upon the strongest legends, and from his knowledge of the legends. A misremembered part causes a much more intense drain on him.

  • Gear: None, he can summon equipment by nature of his power.
  • Backstory: Steven grew up bouncing between foster homes for most of his life, followed by a trail of misery and despair from home to home giving him a case file about the length of a case workers arm. Despite this long series of misfortunes however he was noted to remain upbeat and positive despite the odds, calling it part of the 'heroes journey'. Through how much of this was honest optimism was unknown since he could force a smile through the worst situations.

The development of his ability came rather out of the blue, but given its scope (and the fact that the school was probably the last chance for someone his age to have a stable life) the state pushed him toward it, and he accepted.

  • Miscellaneous: Despite his cheerful demeanor Steven is obviously not as cheerful as he might project, but it will take time and careful navigation to get anything but a smile and wink out of him.

  • Real Name: Jenna Sanderson
  • Superhero Name: Colony
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Jenna is a writhing, buzzing mass of bugs, usually in the general shape of a 16-year old girl of average build. Because of this, she has no hair or face to speak of. Her usual clothing consists of a pink hoodie, gloves, and long jeans that together cover everything below the "neck". She doesn't yet have a hero outfit.
  • Personality: Jenna's current state has left her moody, sarcastic, and bitter, with a strong undercurrent of self-repulsion. She's slow to warm up to people, but she has no malice for anyone but herself.
  • Powers:
    • Hive Mind: Jenna's "body" consists of a hive mind of various insects, arachnids, and myriapods. Her consciousness isn't centered on any one of these bodies, but evenly distributed throughout them, using their combined brainpower to make up for her lack of a human brain. Upon the death of any of her constituent bodies, her consciousness automatically overwrites the nearest arthropod as a replacement (within a 50 yard radius). It will continue doing this until her body returns to its original mass, even if all but one of her constituents is wiped out. However, the more bugs she loses, the longer it takes to replace them, and the less brainpower she has to work with. (A loss of about a third of her mass will leave her unable to function until she regenerates).
    • Projective Telepathy: Jenna can project her thoughts, and with a little more effort her feelings, into the minds of others. She mostly uses this to make up for her lack of vocal cords and resulting inability to speak.
  • Gear: N/A
  • Backstory: Jenna was born an esper, a rare but not unheard of genetic mutation that endowed her with a modicum of psychic power. Growing up, however, said psychic power remained dormant, Jenna herself unaware of its existence. This lasted until about a month before her 16th birthday, when she had the misfortune of being caught in a supervillain attack and mortally wounded as a result. Her psychic powers were forced to awaken all at once in instinctive self-preservation, clinging onto new vessels for her consciousness even as her human body passed away. These new vessels being the local arthropod population. Jenna was not happy about this when she regained conscious thought. After about three months of moping, Jenna's parents thought it best to send her to Camelot Academy, where she could possibly learn to adapt to her new form and even make friends.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Due to the nature of her abilities, Jenna is effectively unaging, with any bodies that die of old age being replaced by younger bodies.
    • Because some of her constituent arthropods are nocturnal, Jenna does not truly sleep, instead entering a half-aware fugue state during nighttime hours.

  • Real Name: Lucy Melanie Livingston
  • Superhero Name: Inkwell
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: 5'2". A little gaunt and sickly in the body, probably due to lingering effects from her powers. Moves slowly and delicately; keeps herself tightly enclosed in her clothing if she can help it. Habit of hiding her face and staring at her feet. Most often wears baggy hoodies and form-hiding clothing, but on days she feels more confident she may remove the former in favour of a simple black tee. Her clothing is usually a pitch black in colouration with a slight sheen under certain lights—this is due to her practice of storing ink in the fabric of her garments; ready to use at a moment's notice. Blushes furiously whenever she receives any kind of positive attention, and has a notably effective death glare.
  • Personality: A quiet, somewhat melancholy and shy girl with dangerously low self-esteem and confidence. Lucy has difficulties expressing her opinion due to her conviction that she is somehow made invalid by definition, and as such neglects to address matters surrounding herself in favour of focusing almost exclusively on other people. Lucy has a deep empathy for others and seems to enjoy in caring for those in need—even if she downplays her actions in an attempt to draw all the attention away from herself. Despite her inherent hesitance in things she can be remarkably determined and assertive when she needs to be—most usually regarding matters where people close to her are in danger or otherwise subject to some sort of crisis or confrontation. Even though she describes herself as ‘trying to be a good person’, Lucy fails to acknowledge her own flaws and selfish, more stubborn side—having a deep-seated hatred for the harsher person she is at her core and attempting to cover it up by only displaying her more kindhearted traits. The extent of this split between her ideal self and her inner self can be witnessed when she's pushed to the brink of rage by perceived injustices, to which she becomes uncharacteristically blunt, opinionated, and sometimes even ruthless in her behaviour. Though she has good intentions, Lucy finds herself held back by her own imperfections and is in a constant struggle with herself to keep her instinctive tendencies in check. Lucy has many faults, but ultimately she wants to become someone forgiving and patient towards others—an empathetic counselor, even if her true self is far from it.
  • Powers:
    • Melanokinesis: The ability to psychokinetically manipulate ink. Lucy is capable of manipulating her ink in a variety of ways, mostly as precise and versatile constructs such as amorphous tendrils or defensive barriers that can harden into a tough-yet-temporary shield. Lucy is capable of making it act as a liquid, a semisolid, or a full solid depending on her level of concentration—and she is even able to shift her ink's pigmentation into a variety of colours if she is so inclined. Though Lucy is technically capable of manipulating any kind of ink, she must have prior contact with a sample of the substance first—she is most prevalent in using her own, organically produced ink, with artificial printer ink coming in at a close second. Differing inks may also take time for her to adjust to, as she has noted her own organic ink to have a specific subconscious ‘feel’ to it that cannot be replicated by her alternative sources of printer ink (which also is a mite more sluggish in movement and reaction by comparison). Indeed, Lucy's ink seems to be directly tied to her thoughts and emotional state—acting according to her thoughts and reacting according to whatever she's feeling at the time.
    • Melanogenesis: The ability to biologically produce ink. Lucy's body metabolizes fats and excess fluids into organic ink through a process not quite known yet—but one which may contribute to her small and frail appearance—and then pushes it out through the pores in her skin. This ability is voluntary and can be used gradually or suddenly, allowing her to access a quick supply of ink for her to control at the cost of draining away at her physical energy and body mass the more she uses it. Due to the threat of her suddenly collapsing from dehydration or malnourishment, Lucy has made a habit of simply generating small amounts of ink over a long period of time and storing it into the fabric of her clothing or elsewhere for later use without risk of her hurting herself.
    • Tactile Telepathy: A relatively minor sub-power that allows Lucy to gain brief glimpses of another person's psyche or emotions through physical contact. This ability can also extend through her ink, as her consciousness is already distributed throughout whenever she's controlling it—simply by extending her psychic field a smidgen she is able to ‘brush against’ the psychic presence of others. Lucy hasn't practiced much at all with this power, and as such it is limited to a fleeting telepathic (mostly empathic) link between her and the person she is in contact with. This ability is usually activated voluntarily, however much like her ink it can end up reacting when she's feeling stressed or uncomfortable. With sufficient training, Lucy may be able to develop this ability to the point of being able to create full mental links with the people she touches.
  • Gear:
    • Hero Costume: Lucy's hero costume is a dark purple kevlar bodysuit in two pieces, designed to be protective over manoeuvrable and (much to Lucy's relief) tends to hide the wearer's form due to the extent of the padding. It is sufficiently bulletproof against small arms and also protects against blades, however this is mostly to give Lucy time to get away more than supply consistent defense. The suit also comes with black gloves and boots, along with a long cloak and hood—which can also be wrapped around her form in such a way so that she resembles some kind of dark wraith. Features a black peace symbol emblazoned on the chest piece; a subtle detail that can barely be seen against the dark purple of the torso piece.
    • Utility Belt: A segmented belt of black metal with clips to hold printer ink cartridges. Lucy wears this along with her suit, mainly so she can keep a consistent supply in the case she runs out of her own organically produced ink. The inside of the belt is inscribed with a foreign maker's name; suggesting it has been custom made.
    • School Bag: Lucy's school bag contains sketching equipment, spare ink cartridges and pens for when she needs them, as well as a few laminated works and favourites books of hers she has decided to keep on her person. Due to the sheer amount of ink she keeps stored in her bag, Lucy is actually capable of calling it to her via indirect psychokinesis—dragging the objects within and the bag along with it. Lucy also keeps her suit in her bag when she's not wearing it, even though the sheer weight of the thing adds to her problems more than anything else.
  • Backstory: Lucy was born to Lucius and Jeanette Livingston as one of the latest generation in a long line of famously (or infamously) unstable superpowered individuals. Like others of direct Livingston lineage, Lucy possessed latent psychic powers that gestated at puberty—which manifested themselves specifically into the pen she had been writing with for an exam at the time. Genetically inheriting also the power to generate substances from her since-absent father (who had the capability of creating heat and magma from his body's fats), Lucy began to pursue the career of heroism with the assistance of her younger brother, David—who generously helped her construct her very own costume with a mixture of scavenged materials and specially ordered parts. Initially impatient and eager to help others, Lucy practiced vigilantism during her early career, but stopped after a confrontation between her and David, who had manifested powers of his own and had become obsessed with his own ideology of using them. After a brief battle, the pair agreed to withhold the use of their powers for vigilantism until they could be trained professionally with them—an opportunity Lucy soon took after the family moved to England near the prevalent Camelot Academy. Choosing to attend in order to gain better responsibility over her powers, Lucy is desperate to prove herself as heroic material, even if she constantly finds herself being held back by her own self.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Suffers from Raynaud syndrome, which causes arteries in her hands and feet to spasm randomly and discolour her skin under stress or cold temperatures. Because of this, she has gained a habit of keeping her hands firmly in her pockets unless absolutely necessary—partially out of shame of her condition and partially to keep them warm.
    • Lucy originally hails from Newport, RI—but her family extends back on her father's side to Japan, and even further back to Ancient Persia. Now that she is living in England, it hasn't helped her identity crisis any.
    • Lucy is a gifted artist and illustrator in her spare time, and often paints detailed portraits of people who have made an impression on her. As well as this, she has a decent musical sense and has previously practiced piano—a skill which has unfortunately been neglected in practice due to the fact that her family can no longer afford to pay for lessons.

  1. Real Name: Ortrun Oda Oelberg
  2. Code Name: (Adjective) Thing note
  3. Age: 16
  4. Appearance: Ortrun a small and dusky woman who exudes presence through a tie and a waistcoat or especially a labcoat when things get busy. She is a scientist. She also ruins this presence by her tendency to hug herself and hunch over her desk. Ortrun keeps her hair out of the way in wavy twintails and keeps her hands under very bulky gloves. And the lady is missing a tooth from an experiment. Which one? Well a few of them have resulted in booms or things hitting her in the face. It doesn't mean that she stops to document her injuries. Oh, and the "whites" of Ortrun's eyes are green. Nothing to worry about.
  5. Personality: A curious and vivacious researcher and explorer still growing up in Jena, Germany. (Mostly. She has a plane). Ortrun also thinks of herself as a lone candle against a coming dark age. There's a blaring contrast between her hiding her notes under her coat and sitting where she can observe everyone else and chatting to no end about the latest and greatest. Though reserved, Ortrun has developed a plucky, give-back attitude. Partly because she calculated the sum of human effort from all human history that got her what she has. Nonetheless, she's full of ideas and ambition and is not about to be stopped short of scientific advancement. If she has to preserve all knowledge and push human development by herself, she will!
  6. Powers: Appearing as a single being and (apparently) possessing one consciousness, every bit of Ortrun is autonomous and squirmy.note  She has fine-tuned control of her body and is capable of parasitizing living things... or assimilating them. The things she picks up: giant teeth, acid, little teeth can appear at any time when Ortrun is not blending in as a Siberian husky, a bystander, your brother... In Short
  7. Weaknesses: All that said, Ortrun is still about as strong as well a small five ft woman that doesn't lift. And her shifting is not quick. Nor painless either.
  8. Gear: A tiger moth plane. note  An S-Phone, WWII vintagenote  Various biologist and biochem tools. Portable printer.
  9. Backstory: Rather simple. Ortrun is not in the middle of any prophecies and her parents are alive and well and encouraging. Ortrun herself is jointly enrolled with the university and has already turned in a doctoral thesis. None of this is combat experience. Ortrun has read about combat and has seen blood and guts but has never been under fire or anything that can fairly be called a 'fight'.
  10. Miscellaneous: Will frequently be found collapsed at her workspace, either below or on top of a leaning pile of pizza boxes and the occasional 2 liter drink. That's when Ortrun remembers to eat. Has a hobby—among others—of translating scientific publications into local languages and she knows alot of languages to that end note .

  • Real Name: Sue Wukong
  • Superhero Name: Monkey Queen
  • Age: 17
  • Appearance: Monkey girl ready for action.
  • Personality: Sue is wild, wily, fun-loving, rambunctious, curious, arrogant, and stubborn as all hell. She does whatever she wants whenever she wants, regardless of what anyone else tells her or expects of her. She is capable of following orders, but whoever's giving them has to earn or command her respect before that can happen. She does have a more insecure side. One that isn't sure if she's doing the right thing. But it never bothers her for too long, or if it does she tries not to show it. She's also rather temperamental, quick to anger and quick to judge. But she's also quick to make friends, and eager to make them. And she'll stick by her friends to the end. (Assuming they don't stab her in the back.) She also has her own sense of justice. An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. If someone's done wrong to her or people she cares about, she'll do wrong back. Or perhaps worse.
  • Powers: Sue has all the natural abilities of a monkey, albeit enhanced to human proportions. She has great strength and speed as well as incredible agility and dexterity, and that along with her tail and hands-for-feet opens up a lot of options. She can also heal somewhat faster than humans, though not to the point where she can replace an entire chunk of flesh in seconds. Additionally, as part of her heritage running back generations, she can make clones of herself from hairs on her body, though only up to two at a time. Any more and the last clone she made is replaced.
  • Gear: Sue possesses a long red staff that has been in her family for generations, though she barely used it until she ventured out into the world. Aside from being a useful weapon, she can also extend its' reach to the point where she can attack foes from a long distance. She can also use it to summon up a magic cloud that she can use to fly, though it often has a tendency to want to go west. Which is something she's never quite been able to figure out.
  • Backstory: Sue was born and raised in a jungle home to a race of monkey people in China, and it was there that she learned most of her morals and principles as well as general lifestyle. This all changed after a smartphone fell out of a plane by accident and dropped right on her head. After reeling from the sheer impact of a small object hitting her at the speed of an unladen swallow, her curiosity got the better of her and she examined the phone. Not having spent a day in civilization or having any sort of handle on technology, it took her forever to get it working, but once she did, she couldn’t take her eyes off it. There was so much there that she didn’t understand. Books, tv shows, movies, pictures of cities the world over and more. Some in her position might have tossed the phone away, unable to deal with the sheer insanity of it all. But Sue was a different story. To the contrary, she was enraptured.
    • Truth be told, Sue had been longing for a change of pace for some time now. Up until now, her life was fairly uncomplicated and simple: Eating, fighting, fucking, and exploring. That was it. And she had been living in the jungle long enough that there wasn’t much she hadn’t already seen. Sure, there were plenty of trees and trails, and even some old temples devoted to the Gods. And she did enjoy those first four things immensely. But she wanted something more. And this was her chance to get it. She was particularly intrigued by one of the later videos. Something known as a ‘superhero’, battling fearsome enemies and protecting the world from evil. She’d had some experience with that. Mostly with protecting her friends from unruly apes and testy spirits from the temples who wanted to pick a bone with them. But this was on a whole other level. And the best part was, it looked fun as hell.
    • With that, Sue made up her mind. Not even taking the time to bid her farewells, she summoned up her Nimbus and soared off to the west to see what was out there, eventually landing up in England. Of course, the locals weren’t sure what to do with her, much less the authorities. All they knew was there was a built-ass monkey girl in nothing but her birthday suit jumping around and beating up anyone who so much as looked at her funny. In the jungle this would have been acceptable behavior, but she was in a different kind of jungle, and she couldn’t just do as she pleased. Still, what were they supposed to do? Judging by her appearance she was still a minor, and if what she said was true, she was from a different nation and culture altogether. So they weren’t sure they had so much as the authority to lock her up even if they wanted to. Ultimately they were left with two options. Either attempt to deport her (which would surely go over well with the Liberals and people’s rights activists), or try a different tact.
    • Ultimately they decided to let her stay, but on certain conditions. After bribing her with a small mountain of bananas, they set her up with a pair of handlers and told her that if she wanted to stay here, she had to do what they said. This was easier said than done, but she was willing to agree to it as long as it kept the police off her back and her handlers weren’t assholes. (And of course more bananas.)
    • After a couple months, her handlers got so fed up with her that they threatened to send her to a zoo if she didn't behave. By this point she had learned just enough about human culture and the written word to get by, so she ran away in the middle of the night and went off her own. Despite her mistreatment, she still wanted to learn more about the world and experience all it had to offer. Plus needed a place to stay. Eventually she saw an ad for Saint Academy on a billboard. With nowhere else to go, she headed over and enrolled the first chance she got. Besides, it looked like fun!
  • Miscellaneous: Sue enjoys intense action flicks and wacky comedies. There are a number of other things that she has only recently learned about and is just starting to get used to, which is something she'll have to work on.
    • Sue is also an experienced and resilient fighter, hunter, and survivalist seeing as survival of the fittest is the rule of the land in her enclave, and one has to take care of one's self.

  • Real Name: Ryan Brady
  • Superhero Name: Atomix
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Ryan has a wide and powerfully muscled build even at his age, owing perhaps to playing Football before his life became...complicated. His build is best described as tall but stocky; fundamentally, the lineman. He has black hair slightly long at the back, blue eyes, and a smooth, boyish face only just starting to edge toward handsome. He wears his football letter jacket with "21 BRADY" on the back, a white short sleeved shirt, and dark blue jeans with a belt. He wears a specialized watch around one wrist that exists to tell him when he's "blasting a little too much".
    • Ryan's costume has a blue base coloration with a large nuclear hazard symbol imposed on the front, back and shoulders, along with a black combat vest and similarly decorated scarf for his head.
  • Personality: Ryan is best described as troubled and more than a little put upon. He's anxious due to having to repeatedly uproot and leave home, the last time being the most drastic occasion. He's got a bit of a chip on his shoulder and prefers it if he's recognized, coming from a highly competitive sport like football, he's already quite aggressive and prone to flying off the handle and making assumptions. He tends to latch on to those who seem able to be trusted, due in part to the sheer number of betrayals he's dealt with. Ryan's rather fiery and despises people like racists and elitists, owing to his upbringing and the troubles that came with it. Ryan tries to be a flirt and get to know girls his age, due to his loneliness, but can come off as awkward and a little stunted. He's quick to shout and make ready to throw a punch when his friends are in danger.
  • Powers: For someone with such a temperament perhaps it was ill-fated that he developed his uniquely explosive power; Ryan Brady contains explosive, nuclear power on a par with a Hydrogen Bomb or more, and he continuously generates and produces this energy. He can channel it to strengthen himself; letting him hit extremely hard, take a lot of hits, and even fly by shooting energy from his hands. He can unleash "explosion punches" and fire devastating rays of energy and explosive force. He has the required secondary power of being immune to radiation, and Energy Absorption - he can intake energy and force to immediately use or store for later use...however going too heavy on stored energy can result in a huge explosion. Ryan as a whole is an example of high power but poor control.
  • Gear: The N-Gear: Given to him by Isaac Noble, it basically reads how much radiation he is emitting and warns him if he's going too heavy without specific aid.
  • Backstory:
    • Ryan Brady just thought he was your regular, average High School Football Player. He had thought he could finally call himself "settled down". During his younger days his parents moved around a lot, and he never got to make lasting friends, though this oddly ended during his last year in middle school. He joined Football to make some friends. He was just going through his day to day life when a Superhero / Supervillain fight spilled over into his classroom. Aaron Pratt, the Superhero "Abrader", fighting against the Cyborg Supervillain "Vengeant". Ryan was pulled into the fight by Vengeant targeting him, saying a number of odd things.

    • Ryan fought back as best he could, and Aaron recognized the signs of what was due to take place. He pulled Ryan out of the school and defeated Vengeant far from it as the villain pursued. Abrader then siphoned energy Ryan never knew he had out of him, and explained that Ryan Brady was a human nuclear bomb. His mother and father? Actually his greedy uncle and his aunt-in-law, who had set up the whole encounter with Vengeant, which Aaron had disrupted when he saw the Wanted Vengeant heading on the way to the school - which Aaron had also been sent to for reasons related to an energy signature.

    • The true backstory Ryan never knew was that his actual mother, Claudia Brady, was related to an American Supervillain who went by Nuke. Ryan had been born with a rare and odd degenerative disease, and Nuke came in and did something that both resulted in Ryan being cured...but also in him developing his powers in his teenage years.

    • Seeing the potential in the young Ryan, his uncle Richard used blackmail, extortion, threats and government connections to steal Ryan away before assuming the identity of the boy's actual parents. They apparently did so with the aid of a benefactor smoothing things along.

    • Ryan, declaring all this as completely insane, ran away from Aaron and home...where he was attacked by his fake parents, who had suited up in mechanical gear much like Vengeant's cybernetics. His uncle declared that Ryan was always "just a meathead" and would be more "useful" to him as a pawn given off to interested buyers. Ryan, enraged, ended up blowing up right as his fake parents thought they had him subdued. This killed his fake parents, destroyed his home, and left a sobbing Ryan by himself for a good hour or two before Aaron returned and took him in.

    • Deciding that the fake parents were probably not the end of it, Aaron and Ryan decided to leave, and were contacted by Noble Tech's CEO, Isaac Noble, who said he could help with Ryan's powers and sponsor his membership in England's Superhero Academy - which was suitably far away from whatever was going on states side. Isaac was opening up an English Branch of Noble Tech, so it looked like Win - Win.

  • Miscellaneous:
Aaron Pratt: Okay, here's my protege, Ryan. Just got some ground rules to go on; he doesn't eat fast food, no soda, no Dr. Pepper, limit his garbage food intake, make sure he's in bed by 10 or 11 every night, ensure he gets plenty of exercise, and don't - DON'T - let him get too broody.

  • Real Name: Gavin Paxton, prefers Gav
  • Superhero Name: Beholder
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance:
    • Civilian: Gav tries to dress fancy most times—suits, ties, stuff like that. He's got darker skin and big hair and a soft, rounded face. Dresses in athletic wear when he's not at a formal event.
    • Costume: Gav's costume is a sort of amalgam or homage to the old war correspondents he watched as a kid. The sort of "base" of it is a set of gray combat fatigues, but he also wears a bulky orange bulletproof vest with PRESS written across the front in black. He keeps his cameras strung around his neck and his gun on his hip. For a mask he's taken a protective military-style helmet circa vietnam, and then accessorizes with a high-grade gas mask and a pair of huge aviators to cover his face fully.
  • Personality: Gav is a passionate photographer—he thinks that the role of the superhero as an icon, as a modern myth, is rooted in the media around them. Viral videos and pulitzer images; he wants to make things like that. To that end he takes pictures constantly, hoping one will be The One, eventually. He tries to stay positive, and does that corporate thing where he only speaks in the affirmative as much as he possibly can.
  • Powers: Gav cannot be harmed by anything he can see. This means specifically that his body won't be damaged—he can still get thrown around and stuff, and in fact because his body doesn't have any give most attacks will do just that unless he braces properly.
  • Gear: Gav carries a pair of high-powered cameras, equipped with a flash, film or still capture, and shatterproof casing—one prefocused for long range and one prefocused for short range. He also sometimes carries tripods around but they're awkward and only secure via a shoulder strap. The gas mask in his costume actually works to filter out gas and particles, and he always carries a few extra sets of filters just in case.
  • Backstory: Gav grew up in rural England, up north near Cork, and was always enamored with the Pro Heroes. The distance from any major nearby town meant that there were only like 2 or 3 heroes that ever came by, and of those only The Highlander came around often due to his ability to quicken his movements allowing him to cover wide tracts of land. Gav got his first camera at 7 and took his first picture that same day when Highlander came by on patrol. The sun hit the hero just so, he got caught mid-stride, and something about it just really got to Gav. It instilled a lifelong love of pro heroes and of photography, and as soon as he understood the whole education thing he set his sights on Pendragon to become a photographer of the greatest heroes on the most front the lines he could possibly be, under the name Beholder.

  • Real Name: Sabrina Lawson
  • Superhero Name: Titania
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance:
    • Civilian: This is her (comparatively) casual wear.
    • Costume: She wears a totally sp00ky looking suit of armor. The “fire” is purely aesthetic.
  • Personality: Sabrina is an aristocrat and has many of the trappings of that lifestyle - a flair for the dramatic, refined taste, a well developed sense of sarcasm, and an absolute love of fine tea. She doesn’t like to show weakness, and tries to remain composed in all situations.
  • Powers:
    • Size changing: Sabrina’s power is the ability to change the size and mass of herself, as well as anything she manages to hit with shrinking/enlarging beams that she can fire from her body. Her main use for it is to become giant and take advantage of the strength that comes with that, but there’s plenty of other uses as long as she’s feeling creative – shrinking down rubble to aid in a rescue operation, shrinking herself to get into an area unnoticed, etc. She can accelerate her body’s ability to heal by either shrinking wounds or growing back missing flesh, though this isn’t a super quick process. The main limitations of this power are that it doesn’t work on other people (or whatever other sapient creatures you might run into in Super England), and becoming too large is impractical after a certain point due to how much accidental collateral damage she can potentially cause.
  • Gear: Other than her costume, the only notable things she carries around are two huge black swords.
  • Backstory: Despite being the result of a union between a demon woman and an eccentric wealthy human man, Sabrina had a pretty normal upbringing in London. Well, assuming you count living in a mansion with servants “normal”. Ever since she was a child, she was raised to become an actress. This didn’t stick, because she was more interested in superheroics than any sort of mundane life path. Something about the double lives they lead with their secret identities, the attention they receive from the public, and the flair with which the combat the villains of the world drew her into that world instead. She constructed a new identity for herself as Titania, and joined Camelot Academy.

Name: Marianne Chu

Superhero Name: Rockstar

Age 15

Appearance: In a word, scruffy. Short, spiked hair, multiple earrings, a lip ring, studded leather jacket and pants, midriff baring t-shirt with a grey upright pentagram. This is her usual wear in both personas. The only difference is that in her civilian persona her t-shirts are regular t-shirts and in her action persona she wears a gre,y stony mask that covers her face except for her mouth.

Personality: Smart but likes to hides it beneath a smartass exterior. Not evil but definitely rebellious. Likes to push things just to the edge of being disciplined. Except when she pushes past that edge. She sees the academy as both free shelter and food and a place to hone her powers

Powers:

  • Stone Skin: She can make a grey, rocklike substance cover her to act as armor
  • Call Stone. She can make rocky projections come from the earth either as walls for defense or spikes as offense. Can also do this from objects made of rock
  • Pebble Shot. Can project a shotgun blast of pebbles from her hands.

History: An orphan, she escaped a year ago when her powers manifested. Arthur recruited her out of reform school and considers bringing her to the good side as a challenge.

Gear: None as a super but owns and loves a slightly beat up guitar

Miscellaneous: As he name might indicate Marianne is an aspiring Rockstar and she's actually quite good if you like punk and heavy metal

  • Real Name: Inusuke
  • Superhero Name: N/A
  • Age: 17
  • Appearance: Nezuko Bootleg! 6'5" and a little buff, weighs about 200 lbs.
  • Personality: Quite a nice fellow, if quiet because of the seal holding his youkai instincts back. Therefore, he uses sign language and muffled grunts of varying intensity to make up for his lack of speech. He generally does not approach new environments or people easily, and has a sensitive heart despite his menacing appearence and strength. He would fight to the death to defend his friends once he has them.
  • Powers:
    • Hanyo Physiology: Due to being the product of an Inugami and a human's relations, Inusuke has all of his physical attributes enhanced significantly. However, it is his speed that is of the most notability, because it allows him to Flash Step around the battlefield as if distance means nothing. His second most notable attribute is his healing factor, which allows him to recover from being impaled in a matter of minutes. Other than that, his eyes have good vision, his sense of smell is enhanced, and he has supernaturally sharp fangs and claws. He can also use a sword fairly well, in the Iaido style. It pairs with his extreme agility frighteningly well.
  • Gear:
    • Blue Moon Fang: An odachi that has a slight blue glow to it even in bright light. It is the heirloom of Inusuke's family and is capable of slicing through steel as if it were butter. It requires weekly treatment with a special whetstone and set of oils to stay effective.
    • Jade Seal: That thing in Inusuke's mouth. As Inugami have a strong desire to consume flesh, this seal was specially made to surpress that natural instinct. As long as Inusuke has this near or on him, he will not go berzerk. His father has one too, but it gets in the way when he wants to kiss his wife. The sorcerer who made the seals is to blame.
  • Backstory: He was not supposed to exist, but then he did. His father did the unthinkable (for an inugami, at least) and fell in love with a human woman. He didn't even plan to trick and eat her! He fell in love with her, plain and simple, and they had a child together. They happily raised him, and taught him the basics of living like fixing one's house, cleaning one's house, repairing one's clothes, cooking tasty dishes, and dismembering one's enemies. However, one day, he lost control and nearly took a chunk out of his mother. That was when his father realized that he and his son were dangers to his wife, and comissioned two seals from a professional seal-maker. Unfortunately, the seal-maker had a wicked sense of humor, so the seals ended up looking like muzzles. Beggars couldn't be choosers, so he and his father decided to wear them. Then they received news of some sort of school for weirdos and freaks in the West, and Inusuke immediately wanted to go. So he packed his luggage, hugged his mother and father goodbye, and went off into the unknown.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • He is weak to methods and rituals that would normally be used to contain youkai, and can be bound to serve by a strong enough magician who knows the proper spells.
    • He will really hate you if you mistake him for a werewolf and start using silver against him. Anybody would get hurt if they were shot with a silver bullet. Anybody, honestly!
    • He likes getting headpats (his mother does it) and if for whatever reason his seal gets lost, a bone will serve as an acceptable distraction until it can be found.
    • Don’t call him a dog, etc. unless you don’t value your life.

Real Name: Cheryl Noble

Superhero Name: Radium Girl

Age: 16

Appearance: Ready to knock heads together. Her civilian getup is pretty much similar, except less over the top.

Personality: Bubbly and outgoing, there doesn't seem to be a thing that Cheryl fears. She'll charge headfirst into any situation, often letting her curiosity and confidence get the better of her. She's fierce, impulsive, and yet also with a soft-hearted and devoted side. A free spirit only accentuates her stubbornness and individuality. To her, life's goal has become to live it to the fullest, knowing that she most likely doesn't have much left.

Powers:

  • Enhanced physiology: As a result of her exposure to Doctor Omega's weird radiation-eating rock, Cheryl has become far tougher, stronger and faster than a ordinary human. She can lift cars over her head with both hands, is bulletproof to most small arms fire, can probably keep up with a moderately fast car if she goes into a full on sprint, and can withstand extreme temperatures. In addition, she has a minor regeneration factor. All of these can be enhanced further with her next power.

  • Radiation Eater: Cheryl's body is immune to the harmful effects of radiation, and can suck it in and "eat" it, storing it until it can be used to empower her other abilities, most notably her regeneration and strength.

  • Cheryl can also minorly alter her skin, capable of making small marks appear on the surface.

Gear: A watch from Noble Tech that keeps track of the amount of radiation currently stored in her.

Backstory: Born in South Africa to a love affair between Devin Noble and her mother, Olivia, Cheryl doesn't remember much of her father, with him passing away when she was 4. Enter Isaac, Devin's son and her half-brother, who essentially adopted the girl promising to provide for her. And so Cheryl grew up in the care of Isaac, with the frequent visit from her mother, the girl growing attached to her "big brother/boeta".

  • But on a trip with Isaac to America to visit a certain Doctor Ulysses' lab in interest of his research for Noble Tech, Cheryl stumbled into a restricted area in her curiosity. The researcher had been conducting inhumane and unethical experiments on people, involving radiation and a strange rock Cheryl came across in one room. With a blast of energy as she approached, Cheryl was unharmed, but something felt...different. As if a new presence coursed through her. After breaking out and telling the authorities, a warrant was put out for the mad researcher, who became the supervillain Doctor Omega.

  • Tests revealed that the blast had made Cheryl superhuman in all physical capabilities, and that her body had gained similar radiation-eating properties to the rock that had caused it. It also revealed that a mysterious quasi-degenerative radiation sickness was eating away at her, only held at bay from being immediately detrimental by her newfound durability. Doctors have her approximately 15 years until it became crippling and destructive enough to deal fatal damage. Essentially, 15 years to live. Olivia naturally wanted Cheryl to stay away from Isaac after the incident, but the promise of the best medical care money could buy and the pleading of Cheryl to stay with him was enough to eventually tide her over. With a newfound desire to make the most of her situation, Cheryl asked to be sent to a school to train her powers to prevent people like Doctor Omega from hurting others. With America not being an option and South Africa not quite having the medical facilities, it was eventually settled that she would be sent to England.

Miscellaneous: She's a really good chef.

Real Name: Cadoc Davies

Superhero Name: The Silver Seer

Age: 16

Appearance: Black hair cut very short, green eyes and a wiry frame. Has a broken nose, scars, and a smile usually referred to as “roguish.” He usually uses his powers to make himself look slightly taller and more fit and seeming has new clothes every day…or hour. His favorite outfit is a dark yellow long coat and vest with light purple gloves and shirt, a pink tie, and black slacks with spats.

Costume: is a dove grey long coat with silvery lines and patterns that shimmer in the light (when he wishes). The inside of the coat is white. Underneath he wears a black suit, a white tie, and silver buttons and tie-pin. His gloves and shoes (steel-toed) are also a shimmery silver. He wears a black derby and a reflective silver mask.

Personality: A kind and outgoing kid, Cadoc has little fear of social situations and will happily talk to anyone. He’ll also stand up to or for anyone with a seemingly fearless disregard for his own health. Not without a hard edge and experience of the darker side of life, he does love being sneaky and using his powers both for his own (minor) gain or just amusement and is sometimes too laidback or even slightly amoral/hedonistic to be seen as really heroic. Oddly, his personality seems to change when using or even holding the scepter-he becomes much more serious, decisive and even blunt. Quite willing to engage in dirty tricks and sneak attacks. He does not like publicity for his heroic deeds and will go invisible or disguised at the drop of a hat.

Powers: Illusions: Very very detailed and can fool all the senses if he’s taking the time to make them feel real. If you’re directly struck by one you’ll feel no more than a cool mist, however.

The Truth Hurts: The stone can emit a powerful beam ranging from a spotlight to a painful laser. Can also be used as a flashlight

All Laid Bare: The stone can emit beams that will strip away most illusion, lies or hidden items. If directed at a person it will also do away with any mind control or hallucinations as well, but only while you’re in its path. Needs a LOT of focus to maintain.

As It Should Be: The beams can heal or repair a person or item. However, it can only be used on one person or thing (say a support pillar) at a time and also currently requires a lot of concentration to maintain.

Flight: He can fly with great agility at a high rate of speed. It also keeps him warm, breathing, and minorly increases his toughness to deal with wind resistance and bugs.

Gear: The Truthstone (or so it calls itself). A mysterious and powerful artifact, it is indestructible. Currently only works for Cadoc and only while he’s holding or within a very short range of it. This would all be fine except that it seems to be talking to him. It currently appears to be an ornate cut diamond set atop his silver-colored walking stick/cane (which is also unbreakable). The Stone can instantly be called to his hand. It also doubles as a handy weapon. If he unwillingly loses his grip on it all powers cease instantly and he suffers a massive migraine. Also carries a set of cards.

Backstory: There are a lot of mystical items in the world. Most are never found, or hidden in museums or lost temples, or hoarded by powerful beings. However, four of them emerged into the world and were consequently bought by a greedy tycoon with more money than sense. These are the Crown, Amulet, Scepter and Ring. He knew enough magic to recognize that he had some very desirable artifacts, but not enough to see how dangerous they could be to the world. Because they could be combined, you see. They would interlace if wielded by one person and make him or her into a force to be reckoned with. A minor-league god.

But all he wanted was to have more mortal power, and so he distributed them to four ruffians with police records he’d met on a construction job. One of them was Cadoc Davies. The wiliest and yet most moral of the group, Cadoc had grown tired of the endless bar dives, meaningless parties, and minor crimes they had been committing for the past years. He knew better than the others where that road might lead, and he also recognized that their leader, Arawn, was slowly pushing them towards more serious offenses.

The trick, however, was finding a safe way out that would enable him to shake off any trouble AND prepare for a confrontation down the road if one should come. At first, he considered the military, but his innate laziness rebelled at the idea of backbreaking training and the inhospitable conditions he might face. Next he pondered turning his mates in and becoming a cop, but the fear of reprisal stayed his hand. Then the bigwig Mr. Andcount made his gift, and Cadoc saw his opportunity. The rich man wanted them to be his muscle in an effort to corner certain businesses in Cardiff, but Davies snuck away in the middle of the night to Cornwall.

There he experimented with the Scepter until he was reasonably comfortable with its powers. Next, he dreamed up a snazzy costume (he’d always had a weakness for fine clothes), dubbed himself the Silver Seer, and began advertising his services as a “Hero For Hire.” He reasoned that with time he’d build up enough goodwill to allow him to resist any intrusion by his fellow wielders of the Artifacts should they follow. However, after a few adventures, he actually started liking helping others, and so when the Academy came calling, he jumped at the chance. Besides, having more powered folk around could only mean he was safer, right?

Miscellaneous: He is much more frightened of his old pals than he will admit. The Artifact IS talking to him, and though it seems benign he doesn’t yet trust it-and he knows the kind of people he used to hang around with in Cardiff. They are Bad News and he looks over his shoulder fairly often. He’s starting to relax, but not quite yet.

  • Real Name: Xavier Golov
  • Superhero Name: Gold Striker
  • Age: 18 (Mentally)
  • Appearance: an android of the future
  • Personality: Self assured and overconfident, a Blood Knight who desires to prove himself the greatest warrior on the planet (despite there being clearly better options), Xavier seeks challenges and ways to improve himself to be the strongest being, be it human, mutate, or android. Despite this, Xavier does not go out of his way to attack people and will back down if a challenge is denied, citing that a opponent not willing to fight will never give him the fight he wants. He doesn't also go out of his way to be rude or just brute force a solution, the better fighter is often the smarter fighter in his book.
  • Powers:
    • Android - Befitting his advanced synthetic nature, Xavier is far more durable, stronger, and faster than the average human. However that comes with its own drawbacks as he's weak to EMP attacks, electrical disruptions, and if he's damaged he doesn't just heal it off or pop a bone back into place, he has to get repairs performed. He's also not a super-genius despite the computer brain, and knows very little about how to fix his constructed body beyond basics.
    • Striker Buster - Xavier's standard weapon, a energy blaster that both of his arms can morph into. It can fire low power blasts for non-lethal stunning and high energy blasts for more lethal damage, useful for fighting hordes of robots.
    • Adaptive Matrix - The most powerful of Xavier's weapons and abilities, this is a specialized device that not even Xavier fully understands, it allows him to touch a super and adapt their powers into a weapon that can be used by him. It has it's limitations, as the power must have some basing in actual physics and the more abstract or metaphysical powers can't be replicated. Xavier could make a laser based on someone's light powers but replicating a telekinetic hold from mental abilities is out. As such he tends to not use it as much as it is a total gamble if he'll actually get any useful powers from it. Add in that it uses a special "Meta-ammo" to manifest these powers.
  • Gear:
    • Optic Helmet - A Helmet meant to improve his awareness in battle, no he doesn't understand why he doesn't always have that power, his creator was kind of eccentric anyways.
    • Raiden - Xavier's support unit, a large dog robot that follows his colour scheme. Raiden is meant to be a loyal assistant, carrying repair supplies, spare batteries to supercharge his capacitors, ammo for the Adaptive Matrix, as well as the ability to act as a flight mode to carry Xavier around faster. Raiden also boasts a few internal weapons to provide offensive support, such as a buster mounted in his mouth and a electric element along his body to stun any attacks getting in close. Despite the AI needed to run him, Raiden doesn't have much in the way of personality, a factor that still bothers Xavier.
  • Backstory: Xavier was built by Dr. Vladimir Golov as part of his plan to take over the world and act as his immortal heir once Golov had died. Xavier was interested at first but quickly rebelled, finding the idea of fighting for justice far more entertaining with far greater challenges. Xavier and Raiden soon laid waste to Golov's army and his robot Generals, pleased with themselves. Seeking a place to improve himself and find greater challenges, Camelot Academy popped into view and Xavier decided that just getting in would be fun enough.
  • Miscellaneous: He's kind of Bass from Mega Man but as a superhero.

  • Real Name: Hector Finley Black Venzon
  • Superhero Name: Plume
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance: 6'3, buff, moves quickly and forcefully. He carries his staff in his right hand and always wears his pentacle and coat. Brown hair, five o'clock shadow. Here's a portrait of him to help you get a better picture.
  • Personality: Boisterous Bruiser, goofy nerd, and hopeless romantic. An extremely genuinely nice guy as well. Tends to crack a lot of jokes, and is really snarky. He reads manga, watches anime and is a major Occidental Otaku as well, so don't be surprised if he makes a random Berserk or My Hero Academia reference out of nowhere. Or another Initial D reference. Don't threaten anyone he holds dear, or the normally chill vibe he gives off goes away, revealing the Badass Bookworm and Magnificent Bastard underneath. No, seriously. His hero name comes from the last name of a dark wizard he defeated when he was only 12. The original Plume threatened to kill his father, and instead Hector knocked Plume out and destroyed everything Plume held dear. In one shot by blowing up Plume's house, no less. He would have killed Plume, but decided that simply passing him over to the (disbelieving) cops would be good enough. Drives cautiously, but has a hidden speed demon side to him that comes out occasionally, usually when he is angry.
  • Powers:
    • Magic: Hector Venzon is an honest-to-God wizard in an age when wizards have been overshadowed by superheroes due to the better publicity of superheroes. This means that unlike traditional superheroes, he is not limited to a standard power set and can learn new "powers"(really magic spells) as he goes along. However, he "lacks subtlety in magic", or in other words, he has poor fine control over his magic, and prolonged or especially heavy use of magic will eventually tire him out.
      • Evocation Spells: He can cast a limited but growing variety of evocation spells, with a particular specialty in fire and wind/force magic. His (live updated) spell list is linked to here. (TV Tropes won't let me list past 3 levels, so I've had to move the spell list to a separate Google doc.)
      • Thaumaturgy: Given something to link an object and his target, he can make it such that whatever happens to the object happens to the target. Mostly used for tracking spells, but he also knows darker uses.
      • Alchemy: He can craft potions given enough time, materials and access to a magic lab
      • Magical Healing: If Hector is injured, his body heals to perfection, or in other words, until no trace of the wound remains, and his cellular deterioration is also a lot slower than most, so he ages a lot slower, and as such is estimated to be able to live for over 200 years.
      • Eyes are the Windows to the Soul, and I Can See Right Through Them: If Hector maintains eye contact with someone for three seconds, he can see what lies in the other person's soul and they, in turn, can see what lies in his(It's not pretty.)
      • Astral Projection: He can separate his soul from his body to remotely view or manipulate objects in a location.
      • True Sight/Third Eye: Magical vision where he sees things as they truly are and not what they appear on the surface. It can be debilitating, so he does not use this often.
      • Hacking: Hector is also a skilled hacker, able to break into any system to retrieve information or card(steal credit card information) for extra income. Don't tell his father!
  • Gear:
    • Enchanted Trench Coat: The coat is enchanted to be bulletproof and knifeproof. He keeps his wallet in one pocket and his phone in the other. He also keeps a lot of other things in his pockets, including chalk, a cheap film camera, and film for it.
    • Wizard's Pentacle: It's best to hear the description directly from him.
      • "Faith is a very powerful thing in magic. It's the reason why crosses, salt and holy water work in shielding us from what goes bump in the night for most Christians and why most other religions have their own protection rituals and items, and why rituals are often an important part of ritual magic. I might not have those to fall back on, but I have my faith in magic. My pentacle, an heirloom from my father, is a physical representation of my faith in magic. The gem at the center also serves as a shield amulet, allowing me to silently put up a shield. It's charged by being worn around my neck, so that's also one less thing to worry about."
    • Wizard's Staff: Carved from an oak tree cut down in his neighborhood. His main magical conduit. He can go without it, but it's so useful that he prefers to keep it with him. After all, it is rather useful.
    • Ka-Bar fighting knife: Useful for self-defense. He is trained in its use and can defend himself effectively with it.
    • Cell phone: Cheap Chinese Android phone. Useful for calling, messaging, photo-taking, email, music, social media and video.
    • Laptop: Chinese gaming laptop. Gift from his uncle in the hopes that he'll have another hobby beyond magic. Uses it for hacking, research and gaming. Picture reference here
    • Wallet: Contains his ID, some cash and his cards
    • Car: 20-year old Honda Civic hatchback. Modified for performance but still retains the stock interior. Picture reference here.
    • Schoolbag: Contains his pencil case, notebooks, files and textbooks, foolscap paper, car, and house keys and laptop computer as well as various potions in bottles, including a Klatchian Coffee potion.
    • Magic lab: The old spare room next to his bedroom has been converted to a magic lab. It's decently well-stocked but nothing special.
  • Backstory: He knew he was a wizard from a young age as his father, John Venzon, is a magical heavyweight, having taught Hector all he knew about magic. He never knew his mother as she was murdered shortly after his birth. The police never solved the case of his mother's murder, and finding out who his mother really was and the truth of her murder is a major motivator for what he does. His father is almost never around and it's normal for the two not to talk for months, not because their relationship is particularly strained, but that there is often so little to talk about. In his words, "It's just going to degenerate into me being a clingy brat over his not being around and worrying too much about losing him and him trying to convince me that yes, he can manage, it's OK. so why bother?"
  • Miscellaneous: Hector has a small but growing knowledge of the occult, having learned it from a young age. He is talented in evocation, thaumaturgy, and alchemy(potion crafting).

-Real name: Alice Liddell

-Superhero Name: The White Rabbit

-Age: 12 years old

-Appearance: She’s a small anthropomorphic rabbit with white fur and blue eyes, she has both a very big and very small stature depending on how you look at it, compared to a human she about as tall as a 4 year old which is pretty big for rabbit standards, she’s got slightly round body (which is totally normal for her species and she’s not fat at all how dare you suggest that) and her feet are more animal like while her arms and torso are more similar to a human, she has large buckteeth and 6 whiskers

-Civilian outfit: In her civilian outfit she wears a blue dress with a white apron on front, also uses a couple of blue bows, one on each ear which are falling on the sides of her head as if they were pigtails, she uses black shoes, white gloves and a pair of big circular thick glasses, she likes to carry around a blue umbrella decorated with white flowers

-Hero outfit: She wears a half black and half red full body suit that even covers her legs and arms but not her head, it has pictures of red hearts on the black left side and pictures of black spades in the red right side, she uses goggles instead of glasses and tie her ears backwards in a ponytail with a red ribbon, alongside this she uses a black lance that shoots repulsor rays, these outfit and weapon are actually the same outfit and umbrella from her civilian outfit which can morph to be whatever the situation requires. Both outfits have a hole for her tail.

-Personality: Alice is an extremely polite girl that’s always trying to be as nice as possible to everyone she meets, she despises rude people and bad language, she’s constantly curious and is always looking forward to learn something new, she is obsessed with science and technology and is always thinking up of new inventions to help herself and others, she greatly admires human’s ingenuity and would like nothing but to be accepted by human society as an equal, she’s also huge bookworm and expends most of her free time reading.

-Powers:

-Super intelligence: Alice true power lies on her mind, she has a superfast thought process that allow her to learn information to an absurdly high speed and has gained encyclopedic knowledge of every study subject like Science, history, Geography and every existing language.

-Natural abilities: On top of all this she has the natural proportional abilities of a rabbit, meaning she can leap dozens of feet on a single jump, can run much faster than the average human, has an extremely sharp and sensitive hearing and an incredible sense of smell and an adorable fluffy cottontail.

-Gear: An umbrella that transforms in all sorts of weapons and contains different gadgets like a camara or a device that allows to anylise the objects any object is compose of and An advance robot buddy named Diana that is covered by a cat plushy, she is equipped with all sorts of weapons and gadgets, is super strong and durable and can turn into a vehicle and suit for Alice.

-Backstory: When Alice was just a cub she was found alone, hurt, hungry and abandoned by an english professor named Lewis Lidell, he took pity on the poor creature and adopted her as a pet, after a while Alice began to copy his movements and to repeat what he was saying, Lewis was taken by surprise but since the animal seemed to be able to talk he decided to try to teach them what the words actually meant, which he manage to learn immedietly.

Lewis keep up teaching her everything he could and in less than a week she was able to talk to the same level as him and in less than a month she already had studied enough to know even more that her teacher, during this time they ended up bonding and became like a daughter and her father.

Alice wanted to visit the outside world but her father didn't let her because he was worried that other people wouldn't accept someone as strange as her, trying to feel less alone she decided to built a friend for herself, using a plush cat her father had given to her she made a mechanical friend that she would called Diana.

She later did some research, looking for ways in which people may accept her, and she decided that the only way she could fit in human society was if she became a hero since they seemed to be accepted and admired everywhere they went in spite of how weird most of them were.

  • Real Name: Kyle Cress

  • Superhero Name: Howler

  • Age: 17

  • Appearance: Man or beast? Try with both. Normally aggressive looking and wearing dark, fitting clothes and a choker. Otherwise he stands as an 8 feet tall black and white wolf or a seven feet tall wolf-man. As a hero suit, he has a black and red magical armor covered in chains.

  • Personality: Quiet, brooding and not too social, Kyle is hard to get to know, and has a hard time making friends. But under all that, and his own fear of what his blood carries, he genuinely wants to do some good for others, even if he is terrible with emotion. Straightforward and honest, with a hot temper, but smarter than most would think in spite of living by jumping on the fire. Fiercely loyal, and more jokey than he pretends to be.

  • Powers: Curse of the Black Fang placed on his family centuries ago, and tampered on to become more of an asset. Because of it, Kyle can become a giant wolf or a slightly smaller wolf man, strong, fast and sturdy and with amazing senses. There is also a strange energy surrounding him, with potential applications, and can heal from most things by changing to another form.

However, these come with drawbacks, as the more the transformations advance, the more aggressive, talking becomes more difficult as a full wolf and obviously he loses his use of his arms. There are ways to disrupt if not negate completely the transformations, as well as. Besides, him being basically cursed, magic used on him, even beneficial one can go awry if not prepared for it.

By himself, he is a boxer with amazing agility and knows a few things about magic.

  • Gear: His armor is made with the ability to stretch and retract as needed, and it can work as a straitjacket should Kyle's mind succumb. He also got some earplugs and a muzzle for times when his senses become too much.

  • Backstory: Generations ago, a knight stopped a wizard, but before the last hit was struck, a curse was planted on him, forcing him to turn into a feral beast that'd destroy everything. So the knight ran, away from everyone, hiding on a distant point of the forests until a traveling wise sorcerer arrived, and, though he couldn't undo the evil, he left a way for it to be controlled, becoming a legacy. Some have been heroes, some have been villains, some had been just normal people, but on the present day, a young man and his family carry this legend over them, with an aloof, rough looking teenager trying to find his place and not drive his family insane with his troubles.

  • Miscellaneous: Decided to pick up the guitar as a way to relax. Has a younger sister and a bit of a rough reputation back home, between his looks and his temper, scaring many people.

Wake me up at your own risk.
