Character Page Cleanup

Not as far as I'm aware.

Personally, I don't see the harm in creating folders for inanimate objects, especially if they are important to the story. After all, we have plenty of tropes about objects.

I think it makes the tropes better organized and easier to find. For example, let's say someone is reading a character page because they are looking for a specific trope that they forgot the name of about the character's weapon. If the weapon has its own folder, they can find the trope immediately. If not, they'll have to scroll the whole page for a while.

It's been discussed a hundred something times over by now, but the reason we want to keep characters specifically focused on, well, characters is that the pages are intended to be sections to learn about the characters and what role they play in the story, not to just organize tropes for things.

Anyway, if you want to dispute this, you'd need to do it at Wiki Talk (probably here) because right now this is the current rule.

So the Spider-Man (Insomniac): Peter Parker's Suits and Spider-Man (Insomniac): Miles Morales' Suits pages need to be gutted, and the applicable tropes from the Black Suit and Symbiote Suit folders moved to Spider-Man (Insomniac): Venom, then?

They were brought up before and I argued these need to be disintegrated as these aren't characters.

If an object is important to a character, then it should probably just be in that character's folder. If not, just leave it on the work page, because it's not a character...

I agree that having things that aren't characters on Characters/ pages is unhelpful.

I'll move the symbiote-related tropes over to Venom's page, in that case.

Why don't we move the suits to Peter and Miles's character pages , or are they too long?

I'm not sure. Would that be a possible workaround to deleting them entirely?

I see no issue trying to move them elsewhere where possible.

If we can pin character tropes to them, they can go under the folder for the character who's wearing them. If not, thay can move back to the works page's main trope list.

Not personally convinced that an object with no personality should ever get a character page folder of its own, though.

I've just put together a sandbox for Pokémon: Team Rocket, since that organisation overlaps two generations. Right now the byte count exceed 57,000.

Regarding the Gundam character sheets, many of the characters overlap in-between a few series (such as Gundam and Zeta Gundam, Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny, and so on). Given that, I've been thinking about something: should we do a project on merging the relevant character pages (i.e. Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam into Characters.Mobile Suit Gundam Universal Century; Characters.Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Characters.Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny and Characters.Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom into Characters.Mobile Suit Gundam Cosmic Era; and so on) if no one objects to it?

Bumping my query for an All There in the Script example in Characters.Street Fighter V that no longer applies as of Street Fighter 6.

Rick and Morty: School is only at 24,426 bytes and is too small to be a page. I'm proposing that it be merged into Rick and Morty: Others. The only thing I'm worried about is the page being too long, as it would become 171,584 bytes.

On a related note, I also think the Space Cruiser should be moved to Rick and Morty: The Smith-Sanchez Family, as not only did Rick create it, He based it's A.I. off of his dead wife.

On Neptunia - Others, there are at least six characters that have an important role in the main story, not just for one arc in-between (Umio, Nepgya, Dogoo Man, and Dogoo Lady in VII; Anri, Ziri, and Aneeta Job in Sisters), and out of the six at least three of them are playable ^note In Anri's case, she was Promoted to Playable in the Switch port. Is it okay if we move the folders to a separate page dedicated to them? (e.g. Neptunia Other Important Characters, Neptunia Supporting Characters, Neptunia Other Playable Characters). I also think that Ganache, Singe, Yvoire, and the Brothers should be moved under the "Minor Antagonists" folder on Neptunia - Antagonists since they serve as one of the antagonists in the original game and its remake.

Take a look at Oh Shiitake Mushrooms - past the introduction, there's only one sentence, and it's an incomplete sentence.

Characters.QSMP definitely needs to be split up, I think... Not for length but because it is absurdly difficult to navigate.

I will probably bring it up in the discussion tab and brainstorm how to divide it up later after the purgatory announcement (Since that will bring us um... A lot of new characters!)

Characters.Zekkyou Gakkyuu is hard-split by volumes. Mind if I merge them back? They in sum only take 62 kbytes.

Okay I’ve Crosswicked the Goku vs Superman folders for DEATH BATTLE! and the page would be 54,426 bytes. If there’s no objection I’d like to make the page.

Characters.DC Super Hero Girls 2019 was split recently, and while that's good, the main page is now formatted very weirdly, with headers being used for each section rather than just simple bulleted potholes. That should be easy to fix, but I have to ask: should Characters.DC Super Hero Girls 2015 be listed at the bottom? I suppose it's supposed to function as a disambiguation of sorts, but it strikes me as rather pointless.
