There are countless images across the wiki that — while they look fine with the normal display — contrast badly with Night Vision's color scheme. The purpose of this thread is to weed these images out by replacing them with either transparent versions, or sometimes just a higher-quality version.
What causes an image to contrast most often is that it has an unnecessary, blank white background. A good example is the former image for Orbot & Cubot◊ on the character subpage for Sonic The Hedgehog, which has since been swapped out for a transparent version◊.
Another cause is when the image in question is already transparent, but it wasn't cut out properly and now has an unsightly artifact of its background around it. For example, the former image◊ for Studio Ghibli, which has also been replaced with a cleaner version◊.
These details are basically impossible to notice on the normal display's white background, and since not everyone uses Night Vision regularly, a lot of these images sneak through. Please keep Night Vision in mind when suggesting or uploading any new image for use on a page.
To tell if an image needs replacing, just switch on Night Vision (if you don't already have it enabled) and see if the image has either of the two problems detailed above. If it does, then either add it to this index and report it here so someone can replace it or, if you are able to, go ahead and replace the image yourself. You don't need to ask for permission; image quality upgrades are a free action. You are not obligated to report any upgrades you made here, but that would be appreciated, since that would help this thread get traffic.
Please note that not every image with a white background will need to be replaced. In some cases the white background is as much a part of the image as any other detail. Take for instance, the page image◊ for The Lost Room. Other examples, like any page that uses a panel from a black-and-white comic or manga, such as the current image◊ for Heroic Resolve, should also be okay (unless the background takes up a unusual amount of space, then it will probably just need to be cropped). If you are unsure if an image should be replaced, bring it up here.

Well, I've managed to make transparent backgrounds for the Splatoon characters except a few. Specifically this one gave me the most trouble:
I've tried many times to get rid of that background, only for something to negatively affect Murch himself. There's also many images with white grounds and some with too colorful backgrounds as well, but Murch sticks out like a sore thumb in terms of ordering.

Might be because the quality of the image is terrible. Would his Spirit artwork◊ stick out too much?
Li'l Judd also has the remaining background as an impromptu outline, but that's another matter.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I've toyed with that idea, but I also like consistency. If I were to replace Murch with a 3D artwork, the whole page would have to be revamped with 3D images for consistency sake. That might take some time.
Hello. I'm having trouble with getting this picture transparent.
I was wondering if there is some kind of software that can do that, so I don't run into this problem for any future images or stuff for the Pantheon forum.
Mileena MadnessTry remove.bg.

Edit: The image has a white spot between her arm now. I'm not sure how I can fix this.

Mileena MadnessThey all would look better transparent. Thanks for all your kind help.
Added them to Pages Needing Transparent Images.
Try downloading GIMP; it's a free program.
I'd rather keep the 2D Splatoon art.

Keet cleanupThis here I need for a future Trope Pantheons profile. I'm posting two just in case one is better than the other for making transparent.
TV Tropes Pantheon Group Members DatabaseCould someone help me get the transparent, better quality version of Fusion Dance's image? I've been trying to nab it off the official site, but it being made entirely in Flash is proving to make that very, very difficult for me.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Any chance of getting a transparent version of Civvie Spandex? I just tried, and uh...
Yeah.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessCould someone make this◊ transparent for VeggieTales? It was approved by Image Pickin', but mistakenly put up with a white background because Willbyr didn't know that editing in MS Paint gets rid of transparency.
Keet cleanupUh... I don't think I got it, but hopefully this can serve as a good base?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢If you're working on Photoshop, turn on "Contiguous" at the upper tab to select only a certain area.
Also, play with the Tolerance level at the same tab to remove the white areas.
When in doubt, use the Quick Selection or the Lasso tool for manual selection.

Uni catI think mariowiki.com has transparent versions of at least some of those.
Would the image on Yakuza look bad in Night Vision if made transparent, since he's wearing a black suit?
Keet cleanupThe Easter Bunny seems to have an outlining problem on Night Vision, and it's on GIF format.

ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔I believe so, yes; at the very least, there'd need to be a thin white or gray border around him to make him stand out from the background.
That looks like clip art; I'd prefer to have a depiction from a work.
There's a couple of images I found that aren't transparent.
Any help with removing the white background from them?
These three NF pages have images with white backgrounds

khugol changed the image on Ubisoft to their new, simpler logo, which is very hard to see in Night Vision (though this also applies to the name in the old logo). Old image:
EDIT: Fixed typo.

Keet cleanupUbisoft, but yeah, it's bad when someone makes the background white, but it's another thing entirely if the pic is fully black and transparent. I vote to revert, the old one is at least partially seeable.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I have several images of Soundwave that might need the white background removed as well.
This might be taken care of next page but I just wanted to bring these guys up for background removal.
Time to explore the world!
The Nightmare Before Christmas page has a lot of images that have white background or are badly cropped.
