I do remember someone mentioning Richard Dragon was supposed to be in that season, but I eventually forgot about it, and spent the whole time wondering who the muffins Diaz was.
I only just check the Richard Dragon trope page and discovered he was turned into Ricardo Diaz in the New 52.
So I guess I'm just Late to the Party on this one.
One Strip! One Strip!Wonder how the animation is going to look. A martial arts film feels like it calls for a different type of animation.
I heard a rumour that Ethan Spaulding could be a potential director here. It makes sense. He has worked on some animated martial arts action shows/movies (Avatar The Last Airbender and Mortal Kombat Legends Scorpion's Revenge).
Man this sounds more & more awesome.
If they nail the animation & fight choreography right, we could be in for a real gem on our hands.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Scorpion’s Revenge did a really good job with the fight scenes. That would be perfect.
Sam Liu took part in an interview with Watchtower Database. Jump to about 10:00 for information on Batman and Harley Quinn , Justice League: Gods and Monsters , and Justice League vs. The Fatal Five . The video is about 28 minutes long.

Here's a trailer for Superman: Man Of Tomorrow.
Trailer for Man of Tomorrow.
I like it so far.
It seems yo be taking some inspiration from Superman: American Alien judging by Clark's proto costume and the fight with Lobo over Metropolis. That being said, I wonder how Martian Manhunter will play into all this.
I'm guessing as a fellow alien, he's gonna be a guide to Clark.
As I understand it, in some continuities, J'onn's been on earth a long ass time, subtly helping people. It was Clark that opened the door for all Metahumans to start coming out in the open.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I watched Wonder Woman: Bloodlines a few days back.
Nice to see the Kaptelis (sp) in animation. After Cassie and her mom became a thing, it felt like the first family that Diana befriended when she came to man's world had been forgotten. Also, they even adapted Vanessa as Silver Swan.
Also, for all the talk of Man's world, all the people who did evil in this movie (including the attack on Paradise Island) were women.
Medusa having both the ability to stone you, and a Compelling Voice (to force you to look at her) is unfair.
You know, I always thought that if the old DCAU had gotten to properly adapt Wonder Woman (including her supporting cast) they would have done what they did with Kyle and their version of Wally and combined Donna, Vanessa and Cassie...or just Donna and Cassie I suppose. Vanessa might have been someone separate. Moot point now I guess.
Also, I re-watched Apokalips War again. It dawns on me that even without Cyborg being used as a Manchurian Agent, the League's attack on Darkseid was (Para)doomed.
Even with the element of surprise, they still would have been up against an army of enemies each as strong as Superman. I honestly think the result would have been the same.

One Strip! One Strip!https://www.filmratings.com/Search?filmTitle=batman+death+in+the+family&x=0&y=0
It looks like Batman: A Death In the Family is rated R. There's also apparently an interactive version.

Huh, interesting. This kind of reminds me of the games older DV Ds had. I wonder if this is about deciding on Jason's fate or not.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).An interactive version? Like Netflix's Choose Your Own Adventure movies like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch?
Most interesting...
Speaking of, does anyone remember those rumors that this Death in the Family adaptation was set in the same world as the Young Justice cartoon? I heard the creative minds of that show were involved in this, but I don't know if anyone official said anything about it yet.
Might be yet another thing to look forward to in DC's upcoming FanDome event.
EDIT: Oh yeah. It was speculated in the last page of this thread.

The description of the trailer mentions the August 23 digital date and September 8 Blu Ray date for Superman: Man of Tomorrow .
It's been done by cartoons first (Puss in Boots, Buddy Thunderstruck, Stretch Armstrong, etc.), but I kept thinking of old DVD games. But yeah.
I think the only official YJ connection is that Brandon Vietti working on it. Normally, that wouldn't raise an eyebrow since he's worked on DC stuff before, but he's been pretty busy as a co-showrunner on YJ and both he and Greg hinted they had other DC-related projects in a Reddit AMA last year. I think it'd be cool. A neat way to flesh out something from the show without bogging season 4 down with more exposition.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Oh yeah. I knew about those, but I thought Bandersnatch was what really made people pay attention to Choose Your Own Adventure stuff.
I’m imagining a version of Death of the Fanily where in the middle of the story you can choose whether Jason dies or not, in a play on the fans voting to kill him irl.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Yeah, I'm sorry if I came off as a bit picky, but Bandersnatch constantly gets credit for bringing that format to Netflix, even though animated shows did it way before. Another example of the mainstream looking down on animation, I guess.
I think DC Universe even tried bringing that gimmick again with season 2 of Titans. Though I think that was more of a poll asking people whether they think Jason would live or die.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Just watched Superman: Red Son.
I never actually looked at any clips of the Superior Man fight (or much of him at all), but that America first gave me some horrific chills.
There was some Fridge Horror with him well before the Body Horror became a thing.
One Strip! One Strip!Just a heads-up, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, arguably said to be the best Batman movie yet, is now streaming on Netflix!
New DC article on Man of Tomorrow
Primary influences are confirmed to be Birthright by Mark Waid (yay) and American Alien by Max Landis (boo, hiss)
So, I'm not familiar with most comics. What's bad about American Alien?
I don't think it's the comic as much as I think Landis is another person outed by the Me Too movement.
So he did bad shit and his work is now less desirable because of it.
One Strip! One Strip!Ah, I see. That's understandable. In any case, the movie still shows promise, so let's see what it'll offer.
Is that genuine surprise because I could swore it came up before.
