I'm in agreement for the Song of Saya being unlocked, especially considering that its now on Steam, on top of Saya being anything but human.

Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World was briefly discussed here; there was no thread made for it. I've seen it, it's just R-rated isekai schlock with a shite grasp of consent.

One of the problem with the Gor pages is that previous versions thereof were written in a way that suggested it was porn. That was a major reason why they were kept locked.

I don't think someone will write that stuff back in the now relatively clean page, and if it happens it can be handled by the lewdness thread.

While I agree, I don't think it's a good idea to base decisions on if Steam has the game. Their approval of Visual Novels is inconsistent, and they have published some pure porn games.

Seconded animuacid's opinion. Steam is inconsistent with their censorship, and the only way for explicit content to be approved on this website if it's played for absolute drama, having the plot being more significant compared to the porn, or having a censored release that still contains the plot but leaves out the sex scenes.

Yeah, Steam doesn't censor anymore. That said, The Song of Saya should be unlocked anyway (or more accurately should never have been locked in the first place).

My personal principle on locking would be that, from now on, barring exceptional circumstances, we don't lock pages, and existing content policy locks should be undone - if a page is attracting one-handed troping, that's an issue for the mods rather than CVR. Given that, the only ones on that list that should be kept locked, unless there has been actual trouble from editors on the other pages, are Lolita and possibly Playboy (and in the latter case only because I don't think anyone really wants to dig up the articles to trope).

Locking pages should always have a justification. If tropers can't read that only one version is allowed, or are overly gushy, then sure, but neither would apply if a page is locked preemptively.

And sometimes the Self-Censored Release doesn't have to be from Steam, it could be a console version.

Another two locked pages I forgot:

• Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom: Another exploitation film with torture.
• Vase de Noces: Simulated beastiality makes me doubtful about unlocking this one.

Came across Gushing Over Magical Girls, and according to the wiki the main characters and their rivals are all 14.

Unlock Saya no Uta. I think the coast is cleared for the most part.

The Content Policy says about Sad Satan that "only versions without child pornography" are allowed to trope, but the work description of the game says there are NO clean versions of the game online anymore. So what are we troping exactly?

Is it really okay to trope a work where the only versions available to play are, as stated multiple times in the work page, full of illegal material including actual child pornography? It feels weird put all those disclaimers in the page and still trope it.

You know what we are troping. Joking aside if that is the case this should get nuked.

are we sure there aren't clean versions? or letsplays of clean versions somewhere? the only source on the clean version being gone entirely is a four year old reddit post, which even says in the comments that it may be possible that someone else has saved a clean copy and could repost it, (though i didn't plan on testing those claims, personally)

regardless, those warnings are just over the top. Yes, it should have a warning not to download the game, it doesn't need to scream it at us in bold letters and ALL CAPS.

also should really say "child porn" or "CSAM" instead of vaugely alluding to "highly illegal content". Be clear what the actual issue is

As mentioned before, I'm in favor of unlocking Song of Saya, due to its Sci-Fi Horror slash Cosmic Horror Story plot being the front row and center.

Re: Sad Satan: I think it's fair because we're essentially troping a game that was once (allegedly?) available but is not anymore. The whole situation with this game is so confusing that troping it at all seems difficult to do but I defer to people who know the lore better.

In that case should we move the page to Darth?

does any safe-to-view evidence exist? letsplays, or screenshots, or something like that? if so, we can keep the page based on that

I wonder if it's worth making a CV thread proper since the discussion has gone in-depth if it's worth keeping.

There are various lets plays videos on YouTube.

I feel like any actual contents of the game carry much less meaning than the story around the game. It started as just a prop for the creepypasta, then turned into a bait of a virusbomb.

I think a starting a proper thread for it does sound like a good idea
