I know "the 16-and-up limit is only for Fanfic Recs" comes up a lot, but does it go for works pages for fanfics?
No, not specifically.
Sometimes it's 15 or 16, depending the context.
Basically when high school starts, often.
Depends the voter too.
Quest 64 threadThat's something that's actually been bothering me for a while. A story can be fine to have a works page for, but not to recommend? That seems wrong.
I was going to wait to bring it up until Time Braid was voted on though.
"So... the time has come for you to meet your demise..."Why would it be wrong? A recommendation is an explicit approval. A page is not.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI thought one of the reasons we were doing this was because a page on a work implies a certain level of approval? That was certainly the reasoning as I understood it regarding why we can't have pages on everything but Wikipedia can.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Not really. That reasoning basically means that we are approving Mein Kampf or the Greedy Jew stereotype.
Frankly I think we'd be better off simply taking an encyclopedic approach to things and simply saying that we are documenting stuff that exists, not making judgement about them one way or another. I think deleting pages about stuff that exists decreases our credibility has an information resource. However, the admins have made their ruling, and we aren't going to change their opinion.

Being encyclopedic makes work pages no different from wikipedia articles, and means the language of the site would half to be less informal. When part of the point of the site is ease-of-use, that's not a good thing.
Manga.Uwakoi doesn't quite have enough explicit content to be porn, and all of the characters appear old enough to not be considered pedo-pandering, so I'm giving it a second angel based on the chapters released thus far.
If it does stay I suggest we keep a close eye on it, to make sure it doesn't turn the corner into porn territory later on.

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! That seemed to be Komodin's assessment back here, though he hasn't voted yet. As I noted prior to my induction, it may be worthwhile revisiting Aki Sora in light of this, since everything I have read indicates similar content (minus incest, which is a nonfactor in our guidelines).
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenOops, forgot to vote. I gave Uwakoi the third angelhead, though it indeed should be kept an eye on.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I couldn't swear to it, but I believe Aki Sora was resolved before I got my position on the panel. Regardless, if someone feels it merits a second look I won't mind reviewing it.
Great! Another one down!
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Alright, I'll flag it and take a look later today. I have business to attend to elsewhere at the moment.

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Well all Da Capo needs is to not have anything on the sex scenes from the original version of the game. I don't see anything of the sort on the page so I think it's clean.
Yeah. Plus, I put it on my watchlist. Da Capo should stay clean.
I've read parts of Aki Sora. It was porn. The plot is the MC going around having sex with people or being made to have sex with people. I think in theory it's supposed to have a romance between him and his older sister but I think she was barely even around after awhile.
Having looked through the first six chapters, I can confirm it was cut for good reason. My apologies, guys.
Unrelated: Two bad flags: a recap of Would I Lie To You and a children's author. Holding off on zapping since two bad flags in a relatively short period of time makes me a bit suspicious. Can a mod confirm what's going on?

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenThanks, I'll note Da Capo as done, then.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! Both bad flags are from the same person. I'll message them.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAlso, the Nanatsuiro★Drops page is mostly about the anime version, let alone the 18+ visual novel version. That can be marked done as well.
The only reason Would I Lie To You would be flagged is because the language is raunchy as hell. It's nowhere near pornographic, unless you have a bizarre English improv/panel show fetish. (Weirder things have happened?)
Since I don't know how well-versed in British television everyone here is, if anyone flags shows like this, they likely think that the content violations flag means that there's extreme language in it. Most of these kinds of shows (others being Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You) are pretty much completely uncensored in terms of foul language and sexual language and innuendos. Had the person who flagged this not flagged a children's author as well, I could understand the reasoning, especially given people might read 'content violations' as 'not-G-rated'.
And Christ, none of those have been namespaced. Shit.

and Cool. Thanks to both of you.
The page in question is Recap.Would I Lie To You Series 6, so don't panic just yet.
I meant about the namespacing (or lack thereof) but, OK.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenOh, I'm not panicking - I'm just saying that for people not familiar with British TV, the differences in language from American TV can really be startling. It's more of a "for future reference" thing, in case someone keeps flagging similar shows.
But flagging a recap of a Panel Show is ridiculous.

The issue with the bad flags is muscle memory and them being where set page type used to be. Just zap them.

At your request, tdgoodrich.
Okay, not familiar with My Life As A Teenage Robot, nonetheless I looked at My Life As A Teenaged Von Neumann Device
A Von Neumann Device is apparently a robot capable of reproducing itself. I didn't know that before reading this fanfic.
My initial impression is that the characters appear to be old enough to meet even our fanfic standards. Jenny's details are here.
No sex in the first chapter. Just some awkward adolescence stuff... And some semi-innocent fantasising robot. Causes fluid leak, nothing explicit.
Chapter 2, the Jenny is teased for not knowing what Sex is. So she decides she must find out, pesters her best friend Brad for it, and eventually gets him to agree. They decide to meet later at Brad's house.
And then Chapter 3 Jenny fully discovers masturbation.
Chapter 4... They have sex (Jenny and Bradley). Well this is really awkward. And then it causes something really bad to happen.
Chapter 5 Jenny's Mother (do robots have mothers?) comes and picks her up. They're not talking about what happened. And then the next day they have "the talk".
Chapter 6 Sheldon is now a robot after the events of Chpt 4. Ugh. More robot sex and some voyeurism. Really explicit. Takes up about half the chapter.
Chapter 7 Regular school li- Oral sex. Plot relevant. I guess.
Chapter 8 Sheldon must adjust to life as a rob- He has to provide a semen sample (yes, as a robot). Apparently his porn is now female robot design blueprints.
Chapter 9 There's a pretty plot-y robotics expo. Where we find out refuelling Jenny requires an Ass Shove.
Chapter 10 Aliens kidnap Jenny. Queen Vexus wants to force Jenny to marry her son (specifically said to look half her age). Queen Vexus leaves them to it, but the prince in addition to not understanding sex has no hope of getting Jenny to do anything she doesn't want to. He throws her in prison, then the guards rape her.
Chapter 11 Jenny's friends from Earth come to rescue her.
Chapter 12 Jenny and Sheldon hide and have sex (perhaps worth noting that Sheldon looks like this◊ since he was converted back in Chapter 6). Basically this is the entire chapter.
Chapter 13 A bathing scene and politics in one. Then masturbation. The other half of the chapter is about the resistance people opposing Queen Vexus. Then Brad has a big damn heroes thing where he shows up dressed as Megatron. Jenny spends the whole chapter naked, but that's probably not relevant. They dispose of the evil royal family and leave. Jenny is pregnant from that thing with Sheldon?
Chapter 14 Opens with Brit and Tiff Clubbing and having sex. And we find out about the pregnancy thing for realz. The author is evidently pro-life. Relationship-plot stuff.
Chapter 15 Jenny is still pregnant and has grown some breasts. Oh sorry, Tactile Information Transferral System. And I almost feel this is an author tract now, what with the breast milk talk as well. School life stuff.
Chapter 16 Relationship stuff, Brad describes losing his virginity to Misty. Really explicit, too long.
Chapter 17 Brit is forced(?) to strip for her television in exchange for information. Yes, that's a WTF (maybe it's a hallucination though?). Then some kind of forced masturbation. Pregnancy stuff. And it seems like the Author Tract portfolio includes anal. So pregnant anal sex, in case that wasn't clear.
Chapter 18 Costume party preparation. A flashback to the "mother" having sex when she was younger, then a miscarriage. Tif fantasises with Brit "helping" her.
Chapter 19 plotty relationshippy pregnancy stuff. Blah, clothing optional party, Relationshippy- Sex. Plot. Robot fight.
Chapter 20 Plot... And some disturbing (but not against the guidelines) sex leading to some sort of metamorphosis.
Chapter 21 Plot. Cyborg fight. Relationship stuff. Sex. Interrupted for a cyborg attack. Female cyborg on male rape. Plot. Rape. Cyborg is driven off.
Chapter 22 Ploooot. Brief Rape. Plot. Jenny goes into labor.
Chapter 23 Labor. Fight. Plot. "baby" is "born". Fighting. Brit cyborg finally dies.
Epilogue Robot babies ever after. The conclusion. Nothing Notable.
TMI? I know. Really, I know.
But anyway, most people involved in sex are 16. Although Sheldon is apparently 15 (His age in appearance being who knows◊). So that means that this fiction violates our strict rules for fanfiction, the required age being 16? Although both participants are really close in ages, so if it was any other medium it would probably pass. It has far more plot than porn, although there is almost at least one sex scene a chapter. There's probably room for some interpretation of whether it's porn (some scenes almost push it too far IMHO), I mean it's kind of sex heavy (with far more than necessary) and there is a rape scene, but I'm going to leave it up to the P5 to decide whether it is or not.
In my opinion it isn't porn but it's really not worth defending, it's just some fan fiction.
