Sticky, please?
New here? Or a regular poster here who is searching for forum games that are actually good? Perhaps looking for new ones that show some promise but can't find any? Then this is the place to be.
The purpose of this thread is for troper forum gamers to recommend forum games to other posters that ask (like a sub-forum library of some sort), or to recommend your latest created forum game.
When posting recommendations, it is preferable that you link the name of the forum game to its thread, along with a description of what the forum game is about.
Forum game rules still apply here.

I was thinking of making a new thread, basically a combination of "This thread goes backwards" and "Ask the above troper a question". Tropers write a response first, and the troper below them writes a question for which that answer would be appropriate. Do we have that one?
EDIT: Screw it, I decided to make it

I'd like to apologize for all this.We used to have a game called "Recommend a work to the previous troper", but I can't find it and I think it's been inactive for years anyway. Would anyone be interested in a reboot?
A great Mascot Mook.yes
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterI think I've seen the old thread on some of my dives into the later pages. I always thought it could be fun.
Ever wanted to see the most inexplicably horrifying intro to a game ever?Sorry to double post, but when the "Recommend a work to the previous poster" thread was brought up the other day, I had forgotten that I actually saved the original thread to my followed threads. I don't know if there's interest in reviving it, but there it is.
Ever wanted to see the most inexplicably horrifying intro to a game ever?Sorry, I forgot to respond to this post. It looks like the thread has been inactive for almost five years and since I don't know the troper who posted last very well (and they're not around anymore as far as I know), I think I might reboot the thread instead.
(Also, sorry for straying from the topic a bit, but I just noticed that I was the second-to-last person who posted there and I did that thing where I bumped the thread without playing the game properly... man, I was so clueless when I was new.)

A great Mascot Mook.Sorry for the double post, but I decided I'm not going to reboot that thread myself after all. If someone else wants to either reboot it themselves or bump the old one, go ahead.
A great Mascot Mook.Is there a "We speak in song lyrics" thread? I want to make one, but I feel like it's a common enough idea to already exist.
fun fact: pro tip: breaking news: life hack: i can't find a good signatureNot that I can recall, so you can make it.
Victor of HGS S320 | "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember."Here's a game idea (haven't seen this before but feel free to correct me):
"Make a Quote for the Above Trope."
A trope is suggested, the next poster makes up (or takes from a work) a quote to match (or not) the trope above, then suggests a different trope, so on and so forth.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderSounds like a fun game idea.
"Take your weapon; strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the Dark Side will be complete."Copying this from ATT. I was wondering if there was such a thing as a "Square Peg Round Trope" forum game. The aim of the game being to list a trope and then have the user below misuse it in the most spectacular way possible, using either real or fictional examples. If it doesn't exist, how would I go about starting it? Does this sound like a good idea?
We have a similar game, though with a slightly different mechanism.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Oh, sweet! I'll have to check that out. Thanks!

"Make a Quote for the Above Trope" is now live.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderHere's an idea: how about a game where you name a Complete Monster and revision them as a Magnificent Bastard or vice versa? Kind of like Griffith from Berserk and his abridged version.
Behold, the Joke CompleteMonster/MagnificentBastard Proposal Thread!
Please visit the "AITA" forum gameThinking about making a "Guess the trope this page image is from" game.
Macron's notesThat would actually be fun.
Come play Character Uplift Game!Would anyone be down for βThatβs a HORRIBLE Surprisingly Realistic Outcome shoehorn!β? Itβs a very specific trope with many different ways to be misused.
Sounds good to me
Macron's notesBehind the Masks: A Game of Deception and Strategy is a really good variant of Mafia.
There are lots of special roles, and a unique system that has so many ways it can play out. Lots of roles, and lots of possibilities. Each one has its merits, capable of pulling off many things. A mere peasant can win through wit. A man at arms can murder his way to the win. The royal can manipulate and deceive to victory. So many ways it can go.
Even without the roleplaying and if it were simply just your genuine self playing with no roleplay, it's still seems really fun.
Wish I thought to look at this thread before.. Anyways.
I had an idea for a simple game, it was like the slander thread in Yack Fest but here you're only slandering the user above you. Should I make?
