This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I think I'm going to take that link over to IP - the last two panels of the top comic would work really well.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI don't see how the Memnarch quote on All Your Powers Combined relates to the trope. Am I being too literal?
Um, no, you aren't. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the trope... I suspect that you have to have context from the work for it to make sense.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.At any rate, are we okay leaving this quoteless? I can't say I like any of the quotes in the Quotes section either.
The full quote from the trope-naming Expository Theme Tune might be better than nothing, even if it is in large part just restating the trope name.
Planeteers: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Heart! Go Planet! Captain Planet: With your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!
What do you think about Lightning Can Do Anything? Decent-ish quote, but doesn't really have anything to do with the trope. I quite like the Yahtzee one on the quote tab, but I know people are averse to "complainy critic quotes".
Make-Out Kids has no source. I think it's just a saying. That's not good for a page quote, right?
In that case, I don't think it's a problem. It's so well established that attributing it to anyone character would be kind of pointless.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Yeah, I think that quote is perfect.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdI was thinking about that, but didn't know the quote myself. Is anybody opposed to the switch?
Eh, it's not exactly on the nose, but I kind of like it. Though I might like the Jimmy Lightning quote from the quotes page better.
Removed the quote on A Dog Named "Dog" as it had the same one as This Is My Name on Foreign, and it fit the later one better.
Any suggestion for a new quote? A Dog Named "Dog" have quote page...

Adaptive Ability has two quotes. I prefer the Darwin one.
Say, is there a style guide for quotes somewhere? I was about to make the swap on All Your Powers Combined when I realized I wasn't certain exactly how it should look.
Darwin's quote works.
New theme music also a boxIt's on Text-Formatting Rules, under Quotes Formatting. All Your Powers Combined is correct.
Somebody pulled the quote on No-Sell, saying "Doesn't really demonstrate the trope." Thoughts?
- "Nice try, Corvo."
- Daud (when you attempt to use Bend Time), Dishonored
I call that nonindicative at best.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettGlorious Leader has a rather long quote,which can be shortened;
"..The great Kim Jong Il was an outstanding ideologist and theoretician, peerless veteran statesman and brilliant military commander who led the revolutionary cause of Juche along the road of victory by dint of his profound ideas and theories and unexcelled leadership, and a great patriot and the benevolent father of the people..."
edit:So Empathic Weapon has two quotes,I thinking the bottom should stay.

New theme music also a boxAgreed on both. Your edit to Glorious Leader makes it clear that the quote is part of an unnecessarily long speech, and the first quote on Empathic Weapon is part of a conversation that doesn't make perfect sense on its own. Not sure the second one is perfectly accurate, though. Someone who's seen the episode recently will have to confirm.
As for No-Sell, from a few above, I've got a suggested replacement, but it might be too much Badass Boast and not enough No-Sell.
- "I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I am the morning star, the fallen one, the first and most damned child of creation. Magic is the power of creation, children. It cannot harm me."

Can we at least remove the quote from Adventurer Archaeologist? It's not actually an example. The guy isn't calling on Indiana Jones for his methods, but how the Nazis just wreck stuff instead of even attempting archaeology.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Agreed. Anyone against?
Also made the edits to Glorious Leader and Empathic Weapon. Anyone else have an opinion on No-Sell?

The suggestion for No-Sell sounds decent.
Seems to me that the quote on Obliviously Evil should go. Lewis was describing Well Intentioned Extremists, not people who do bad things because they're genuinely unaware that they are bad. Any other input on this?

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdGray's law (from the quotes page) might work as a replacement.
- "Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice."
- — Gray's Law
I'm not entirely sure about that one, since it only describes one possible form of Obliviously Evil, but it's a huge improvement on the current.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdThat quote is just Hanlon's Razor with different wording.
Also, the Adventurer Archaeologist quote was pulled. Any suggestions?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Looking at the Trope Namer, I'm not sure any of the quotes work without the visuals. Here◊ are the best ones.
