They're really popular in Japan. Probably because of a bunch of untranslated Memetic Mutation and image macros that would fly over our heads.
I actually don't mind them that much, but i think those alternate designs are awesomely neat. Choi becomes incredibly stylish and Chang a GAR Genius Bruiser

So that means Choi becomes more Michael Jackson than Freddy Krueger then?
^ AHA! I know what that means! Its japanese for 'Are you ready', or 'prepare yourself'.

Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...Well, he appears, slices twice, turns his back, smirks, tips his fedora, and buggers off. He may moonwalk at this point. I do not remember.
And then Igniz drops a colony on his head!
Which reminds me: why is Igniz so bloody powerful? No, I don't mean why is he an SNK Boss, that would be a stupid question. I mean why is he pretty much god.
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead..."I picked up the King Of Fighters game they have for the Wii. It was terrible. Put it this way: you can only use the Wiimote. Vertically. Half the (important) buttons are on the back of the controller, and a third of them aren't even mapped at all thanks to a button deficiency. It was an instant return."
You mean KOF Collection: The Orochi Saga?
A Classic Controller is a must for fighting games on the Wii, and KOF is no execption. Better if you can get an arcade stick for the Wii. I have the game, and I play it with the arcade stick I use for Tatsunoko Vs Capcom. Even though there is support for the Gamecube Controller, it just doesn't cut it due its D-Pad being too small.
Enjoyment and Excitement! So I decided to check out this 'Magaki' guy, and see why everyone thinks he's The King Of SNK Bosses.
How the hell is this possible to beat. There is such a thing as 'Utterly Fucking Impossible' SNK.
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...You see that guy with the bird mask? Tizoc's his name. He has a special called Active Turpon (dp + punch). It's a move where he leaps across the screen, grabs the opponent's neck with his feet, and slams them into the ground before leaping away. The strong version puts him at the right distance to grab them with another strong Active Turpon right as they're getting up. Rinse, wash, repeat. Works like a charm for about half of the battle. When he goes down, I try to whittle Magaki down with my second guy, and then let loose with my Leader's LDM (usually Elizabeth).
Yeah, Magaki's a pain in the neck. But playable Shion is even more of a cheeser (because, unlike his boss, he doesn't suffer from complex button inputs), which is what makes it so satisfying to wreck everyone's s*** with him.
Oh, and Dark Ash (the Final Boss of XIII) is worse, believe it or not.
You mean to say you can beat that.... thing?
X 2 X, I never want to play you at KOF.
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...It all depends on who you use. For example, one of my mains in XI is Eiji. Poor Eiji does not stand a snowball's chance in hell against Magaki.
Also, that player was playing through the game with singles, which means that it's 1-on-1 rounds instead of one long battle. In KOF, winning a round regains some of your health, so Magaki started with about full health each time. He doesn't get that kind of luxury if you're playing XI normally (i.e. 3-on-3 tag battle).
I've never really played the Ko F past 2003. Sad on my part.
Speaking of SNK Bosses, 3 words. "Koko desu ka?"
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself. This is the only video of Dark Ash I could find:
Magaki looked tougher, but the player in this video is obviously much better.
Also that red guy before him is the Loli Puncher. This makes me laugh.
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...For reference, this is the Loli Puncher:
Actually, this video better shows the comparison. Skip to about 4 minutes for the actual Loli Punching.
It is obviously the same guy :p
EDIT: BTW, NSFW!!!

Ah, yes... Goenitz. Goenitz of the Wildly-Blowing Wind. One of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi. Made his debut in '96... KOKO DESU KA?! KOKO DESU KA?! KOKO DESU KA?! KOKO DESU KA?! KOKO DESU KA?! KOKO DESU KA?!
By the way, the "Loli-Puncher" in XIII is Saiki.
Yeah I know. But doesn't he look like the Loli Puncher? He's a straight up Expy if you ask me :p
....
Did they deliberately make him look like a girl? Or is KOF XIII just generally full of guys who really look like women?

Could be that game, I dunno. The main reason I hated it was because it didn't let you use the Classic Controller. There was only one control scheme, and it stunk.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.HAHA! Succeeded in downloading Dear Fallen Angel off Bee MP 3. Am currently listening to it. It is more awesome now I can have it whenever I like.
Anyone reccomend any more KOF music?
