I am honestly not that surprised. Considering that they also made a gigantic fuss over having a female or male option in Odyssey. Even when theyalready had the option in Syndicate. (Also anybody remember Jacob Frye was bisexual? Me neither).

As someone who doesn't really follow Assassin's Creed, I'm inclined to ask, was there an expectation of such branches?

The game was marketed as more RPG-like and choice-based than previous titles, and has multiple romance/sex options for different orientations for both characters.

They've also upgraded the memory-viewing phlebotinum so it's no longer necessary for the characters to have children.

Hey guys, haven't been in here for a while, but I came to ask for opinions. Recently, a troper called dysphere has been removing the word "queer" all over the wiki. Now, I know this word can be a point of contention, but the issue for me is that their edit reasons are taking it personally - saying "don't call me that slur!" or similar. They also removed the word "homosexuality". See, their troper page suggests they're a teenager, so it's hard to believe they have experience of "queer" used as a slur against them. Am I wrong to think this isn't a weird censoring thing? Because the wiki operates on "don't like, don't read" and nobody has taken issue before.

A very ugly history indeed. Unfortunately as long as there's been organized LGBT/Queer communities, there's been exclusionary and assimilationist wings that fuck over anyone who can't assimilate and/or refuse to bow down to heteronormative respectability politics

Twitch streamer currently running a charity stream for an organisation that supports trans kids and their parents in the UK. And the surreality mainly comes from just who they've been able to get onto the stream.

He's playing Donkey Kong 64 to 101% and he's been streaming for like 50 hours now and raised over $250K.

A bunch of Trans people got to discuss their experiences, a bunch of allies went to the bat for the community, and GL got pissed.

It was as beautiful as it was surreal.
