Me: Now, use Shadow Ball!
Daisuke: You use your Shadow Ball!
-Yuki and Doppel conjure up orbs of shadowy energy and throw them at each other.-
Me: Now, Yuki! Use Blizzard!
Daisuke: Use Shadow Punch!
-Doppel coats his fist in shadows and proceeds to throw a punch at Yuki, but Yuki chants something under her breath and with a wave of her hand, blasts Doppel backwards and drives him into the ground.-

Hayden would be gripping his chin in thought... but his Golurk body lacked a chin.
Arthur blinked behind his helmet and grunted, Hayden chuckled.
"My associated here wants to know why the name invokes such... anxiety in you," Hayden asked.
"I got caught by a thief. I wore a magic scarf and tried out mega-evolution, turns out I can. Power overwhelmed me and I got stuck 3 months as part of some thief's retinue... it was unpleasant," Jackal commented.
The team rounded a corner, and voices could be heard echoing down a hall, it was listed as "STAGE-101", Jackal sighed.
Best listen...
"I've already told you 5 times! You don't just break up with me!"
"How did you get here?! G-Go! BEGONE!"
"Oh no you don't you bitch, I ain't leaving... I ain't leaving at all. I own you!"
A shiver ran up Jackal's spine, "Okay, man and a woman... and I want to pound the man's face into a pulp already. Some people really don't bother trying to be decent do they?"

-The dust settles and reveals a stunned Doppel lying on the ground with Yuki hovering over him.-

-Yuki raises her arms and summons an orb of shadowy energy over her head. Her eyes sparkle in the sunlight as she looks down at her opponent.-
Daisuke: -thinks to himself- This doesn't look good... What do I do? I have to think quick, rely on something... I know...

-Doppel looks up at Yuki from his weakened state and puts his plan into motion.-

Doppel: -suavely- <Of course, I do. Before this battle ends, I just want to get a close look...
-Yuki dispels the shadows and slowly approaches Doppel. The two Ghost Pokémon look into each other's eyes.-
Doppel: -thinks to himself- <Yes... look DEEP into my eyes...>
-Doppel's eyes flash a sharp purple color as eye contact is made.-
Me: -concerned- YUKI! DON'T LOOK INTO HIS EYES!
-Ian's warning goes unheeded as Yuki pulls back surprised by the flash of purple light. Doppel releases soothing, pitch black waves of psychic energy, which are reflected in Yuki's eyes.-
Yuki: <Oh... I feel... strange...>
-Yuki's eyes glaze over and her eyelids drift into a half-opened state.-
Yuki: <So... tired...>
Me: YUKI, NO!
-Yuki's eyes drift completely closed and she falls to the ground, asleep. Doppel quickly jumps back to his feet.-

That was probably meant to come off as a playful brag but the way Daydre said it makes it sound more confused than confident.

-Ian throws the Poké Ball and from it appears Totoro, Ian's Snorlax, sleeping in the exact spot that Yuki was sleeping in. Doppel unleashes the Shadow Ball and it phases right through Totoro. Totoro sleepily scratches his tummy.-
Daisuke: -shocked- OF COURSE! Normal type Pokémon are immune to Ghost attacks!
Me: That's right! Now...
-Ian reaches into his backpack and pulls out an apple.* He then throws it to Totoro. Totoro opens his mouth.-
Me: Use Rollout!
Daisuke: Taihenda!
-The apple bounces off of Totoro's tummy and into his mouth. Totoro eats the apple and jumps to his feet.-
Totoro: <You got it, buddy!>
-Totoro jumps into the air, curls himself into a ball and rolls right into Doppel, knocking him into the air.-
Daisuke: Doppel!
-Totoro makes a U-turn and rolls at Doppel right before the Gengar hits the ground, knocking him back into the air with twice the force.-

The two pokemon appear on the field and stare each other down. Luxray roars.

Referee: Uh, right. Battle, begin!
Hoops: Luxray, use Electric Terrain.
Luxray: <Yes, young Mixter Hoops.>
The Gleam Eyes pokemon roars again, and electrical energy bursts from his mane and fills the stadium with crackling lightning. The air smells of copper.
Bede: Interesting. If you're setting up, then so am I. Trick Room!
Hatterene shakes with psychic energy, which spreads into a cube shape that encases the field.
Hoops: The hell?
Bede: What, you didn't think I would let you be outspeeding me for this whole battle, did you? Hatterne, Mysical Fire!
Moving much quicker this time, Hatterene gathers pinkish flames in front of it and launches them at Luxray.
Hoops: Dodge!
Luxray tries to evade, but he is severely slowed by the effect of Trick Room. The attack hits him just as he is beginning to move and knocks him back.
Hoops: You okay?
Luxray: <Fear not, Young Mixter Hoops. I have endured far worse than this in my time. Might I suggest a counterrattack.>
Hoops: Right. Use Crunch!
Luxray bares his teeth and begins to run towards Hatterene. But he is too slow, thanks to the Trick Room, and Hatterene has more than enough time to respond.
Bede: Use Psychic.
Hatterene's eyes glow, and Luxray is lifted off his feet. He thrashes in the air, but he cannot grab purchase on anything.
Hoops: Break out of it.
Luxray: <I am endeavouring to do so, Young Mixter. Unfortunately, I appear to be in a bit of a - oh Arceus!>
The last part comes as Luxray is slammed into the ground by the Psychic attack. Hatterene drags him across the ground, so hard that there are small furrows in the earth.
Bede: I told you, you shouldn't have come to challenge me again today. I'll send you home crying if I have to.
Luxray pulls himself to his feet on hearing those words.
Luxray: <I must take offence at your words, sir. I will not allow you to send my mixter home in tears, as you put it.>
Hatterene: <Mixter this, Mixter that. As much as I applaud the use of the gender neutral, you sound like a servant. It's kind of pathetic.>
Luxray: <Excuse me? I have served the family of Young Mixter Hoops for all of my life, and my fathers and grandfathers have done the same thing. We choose this, because we see a strength and dignity within them, and we leave if we no longer see the traits that we respect. Though it is true that Young Mixter Hoops has temporarily taken a path most ill-advised, I will stay with them until they find their way back.>
Hoops: What was that last part?
Luxray: <Nothing, Young Mixter. I was just stating an opinion. But in conclusion, I object to your accusation of being pathetic.>
Hatterene: <If you're not pathetic, prove it by beating me.>
In response, Luxray turns and walks back towards Hoops. As he reaches them, he lowers his head and places one poor before the other in a clear bow.
Luxray: <Young Mixter Hoops. Shall we, as you so eloquently put it earlier, beat the everliving crap out of them?>
Hoops: Yes, Luxray, I think we shall.

Orochi indirectly sabotaged three of the bands that Meloetta herself had chosen, so what would stop them from trying to sabotage all the other bands directly... Hecate's Harbingers, Shadow Cast, Sugar and Spice... even us?
Evelyn: And once all the bands are out of the running, Meloetta would completely lose heart. And in such a state, she'd do whatever they told her to do...
Me: And the last time this theory had been discussed, Colton brought up a very good point. "If some power-hungry weirdo has access to a Mythical, the first thing they'd do is try to capture it. Failing the power-hungry, they'd probably still want to capture it."

-Mercury opens his eyes, throwing off the heavy, layered blankets on top of him. It's cold. The fluorescent lights are cold. The air is stale and cold. But the eyes of the woman glaring at him burn hot.-
Mercury: "Morning, sunshine. Don't suppose you're gonna serve me breakfast in bed?"
???: "Get dressed. You can eat after your warm-ups."
Mercury: "Yeah, yeah."
-The woman with the burning red hair shakes her head and leaves. On the opposite side of the room, the young girl laces up her boots and does her best to stuff her wild mint-green hair into her hoodie.-
???: "Come on, Merc, get up. I don't wanna keep Mom waiting..."
-Mercury sighs and sits up, fruitlessly rubbing at the dark circles under his eyes.-
Mercury: "I don't need it from you too, Thalia. Sorry if I'm a little tired."
Thalia(?): "Well don't snap at me for it. Just get dressed and hurry up. They want you to start with the Gates."
Mercury: "Joy."
???: "Yes, please, Mercury, we'll be begining with the Gates today. Just the first stage for now."
???: "Don't want you overexerting yourself before breakfast. We just want you to work up an appetite."
-Mercury's always hungry. Always cold, always tired.-
Mercury: "I understand."
-He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes - focuses. It's not an easy or simple technique.-

-The redheaded woman strides over to Mercury and puts a hand on his shoulder.-
???: "Come, eat."
Mercury: "Yes, Firebrand."
-Even Firebrand's unnatural warmth does nothing to get rid of the cold.-

-Raru summons a flurry of magical rainbow leaves with the flourish of a dancer, and then launches them at Hondo.-
Daisuke: Hondo! Use Fire Punch to burn them away!
-Hondo coats one of his fists in fire and throws a mighty punch to burn the leaves away.-
Me: Raru, use Misty Terrain!
Daisuke: Hondo! Give it the works! Combine Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch and Close Combat!
-Raru claps his little hands together and summons a magical mist from his palms to coat the battlefield. The mist protected the participants of battle from draconic attacks (which Raru was already immune to) and its fae energy invigorated those who stood on the battlefield, preventing them from getting sleepy or confused. Hondo coats his fists in fire, ice and lightning and lunges right at Raru, unleashing a rapid flurry of strikes on the Feeling Pokémon.-
