YMMV / The Adventures Of Coach

Go To

  • Bizarro Episode: The entirety of "Vin Diesel War" doesn't make any sense, even in comparison to earlier episodes.
  • Cult Classic: The show were quite famous on it's time, even if it's not as popular as other Gmod Machinima in Youtube.
  • Designated Hero: Neither Coach, Vin, or Shaun has the qualities as the "hero" of the show, if you can even call it that. The only semblance of the main guys being the "hero" is only shown in few occasions, like Coach agreeing to assassinate a dangerous individual so that he can save his buddy Vin, or whenever Shaun tries to save the duo from the concurrent troubles, like escaping Vin's Brother Erdim and rescuing them from a remote island.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: This isn't the last show that Vin Diesel is subjected to a role where he only speak in one phrase everytime.
  • Memetic Loser:
    • This show is probably where Vin's memetic reputation among gamers is widely known before his "Family" sticks out like a sore thumb in his record, for the wrong reasons.
    • The series seems to find many ways to trash on Rochelle every now and then, probably even more than other series.
    • The Tank got it even worse, seemingly defeated with no real effort in almost of it's appearance.
  • Memetic Mutation: The flat-delivered word "Fuck" that Vin delivers to the point of being a borderline Pokémon Speak is probably the first thing viewers thought of the show.
  • Memetic Psychopath: Coach, big time. Thanks to his Adaptational Jerkass and Hair-Trigger Temper, Coach will turn into a giant disembodied cheeseburger and squish you flat if he so choose.
  • Pop-Cultural Osmosis: The flat-delivered word "Fuck" that Vin delivers to the point of being a borderline Pokémon Speak is originally came from Escape from Butcher Bay (the line in specific actually says "Today John's you got fucked" that occurred somewhere in the beginning part of the game), but a lot of people would discovered it from this show firsthand.
