  • Awesome Art: The show has lovely animation and a vibrant, colorful art style.
  • Base-Breaking Character: Lucky the Puppy has slowly gained this reputation among fans for his antics; you either find him an endearingly energetic Karmic Trickster or a total Karma Houdini who's more trouble than he's worth.
  • Fridge Brilliance:
    • A majority of the baby animals that are delivered tend to follow the Alliterative Name trope, where their name starts with the first letter of their species (I.e. Precious the Panda, Kiki the Kitten, Scooter the Skunk, etc). However, there's a kitten that's named Mia, a name that stands out from the conventional naming pattern. Then you realize that she's adopted by Captain Beakman, who accepted Pip and Freddy, a penguin and a flamingo, into a normally all-stork organization. In other words, it makes sense for someone with an unconventional name to be adopted by someone who encourages unconventional behavior so as long as there's genuine love. Plus, Mia sounds similar to "meow", the sound that cats make, so it's a fitting name for a cat.
    • KC telling Pip and Freddy about adoption takes on a whole new meaning in "Bringing This Family Home" where it's revealed she has a bull, Uncle Terry, for a family member. She would thus know a bit more about the idea of mixed families.
  • Ho Yay:
    • In "You Gotta Be Kitten Me!", the kitten named Kiki thinks that Pip and Freddy are her parents. They don't seem to mind that, at least initially. Freddy later says that being her "dada" was the greatest two hours of his life.
    • "Whale, Hello There" has Freddy constantly fanboying over JP due to his "super-duper-ness".
    • Taken up to eleven in "Bunny Bunanza", where Pip reveals that he has a poster of JP in his room.
    • There are also a lot of hug scenes of Pip and Freddy in each episode, even one in the theme song.
    • In "Night Flight," Pip holds Freddy’s wing to make him less scared of the dark.
    • Pip says "Love ya, Fredamingo" and Freddy replies "and I love you too, best feathered friend", and they press each others' faces together in the end of the Valentine's Day special episode, "Valentine Spirit."
    • In the episode "Flight of the Penguin" Pip and Freddy miss each other and say that they'd never deliver babies without each other. They also give each other love eyes before hugging each other.
  • Moe: It goes without saying that many of the babies featured, if not all of them, are guaranteed to melt your heart.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: Several.
    • "I've Got Your Wing" sounds like "Jealous" by Nick Jonas in some parts.
    • "Baby's First Christmas" sounds very similar to "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey, right down to the opening notes.
    • The chorus of "Room To Grow" bears a resemblance to the main riff of "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom" by Vengaboys
    • "Leave It To Teacher" from the episode "Trunklebee's Day Off" bears a resemblance to "The Bare Necessities" from The Jungle Book (1967).
  • Spiritual Successor: A followup to the Nick Jr. show Top Wing that was canceled after its season 2.
  • Sweet Dreams Fuel: The show definitely has quite a lot of cuteness, yet it's also quite sweet and endearing.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Freddy can be confuse for a girl not just because of his feminine voice but also for being pink, his love for babies and blatant admiration for his best friend Pip.
