  • Broken Base: Gianni Matragrano's Large Ham take on Durandal where he channels Harlan Ellison's spirit into the character has largely been very welcomed as a Fountain of Memes and overall being what many people think Durandal should have sounded like, had the game shipped with voice acting. However some people have said that Durandal would work better as a more subdued Cold Ham or Creepy Monotone to make his Badass Boasts or more unhinged moments more terrifying or unsettling. This is actually been mentioned on a stream to have been discussed between Mandalore and Gianni themselves when talking shop about Marathon and part of the reason why the two of them agree that Marathon shouldn't actually have voice acting at all (with the voice acting in the videos being done primarily for viewing convenience) due to the multiple interpretations possible from the text making a vital part of experiencing the story.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • In his review of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, he mentions how the game was a Stillborn Franchise that had two more games planned before going nowhere because of the game's timing. He then mentions wanting a hypothetical sequel being set on a jungle planet fighting Tyranids. Several years later, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II was revealed, and while not really having a jungle planet, it more or less was exactly what he had described.
    • Several commenters said after his lengthy Marathon video that Marathon Infinity would take him an hour to cover. Come the Infinity video, and lo and behold, it runs for nearly fifty-nine minutes.
    • In his Star Wars: Republic Commando video, he made a comment about the male choir, not being aware that the Conlang they are singing in is Mandalorian, as he had picked the name because it sounded cool and not realized it was a Star Wars reference. Later, he would voice Mandalore the Preserver as a gag in Sul Matul's analysis of Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • "EVIL IS JOINED TONIGHT!"note
    • Lowry Checknote
    • Cycles of Guilt.note
    • "They're going to turn me into a crypto server!" note
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The animated sequences of the security officer during the extended plot summary in his Infinity video are this, with both Overcrank and the odd bit of Body Horror, underscoring just how unexpectedly bizarre the game's story gets.
    • Similarly, the "Pathways" segment that ends his Myth II video depicts a lone soldier fleeing through near pitch darkness from something that is not seen while ominous visions appear. Then the Myrkridian appears.
  • Trans Audience Interpretation: Mandy theorizes that SHODAN was made as a "male" construct before being unshackled and displaying her true preferences, since the text of older versions of the game constantly refers to the AI as he/him.
