• Best Known for the Fanservice:
  • Getting married in her underwear, kissing Torrie Wilson and flashing to the SmackDown audience are what fans remember her mainly for.
  • That the 1999 movie Carmilla is known at all is likely due to the fact that Dawn Marie appears topless in the beginning.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: During the WWE Divas Undressed competition, Jonathan Coachman referred to her as "heart-stopping." Al Wilson, anyone? Also counts as a kayfabe Harsher in Hindsight.
• LGBT Fanbase: Similar to Melina, she played the Alpha Bitch so well that she has a slew of gay fans. As the character was Ambiguously Bi, this helps too.
• Love to Hate: She only ever played a heel because she was so good at it. She was considered a very underrated bad girl from the Ruthless Aggression Era. Being put against uber-babyface Torrie Wilson helped too.
• Memetic Mutation: "Look at Dawn".
• Overshadowed by Controversy: Her charity Wrestler's Rescue was involved in a huge smear campaign regarding Dawn allegedly scamming a few people, and tarnished her reputation in the eyes of many fans - despite Dawn attempting to set the records straight with some videos.
• Shipping: Minimal. Archive of Our Own has one story pairing her with Lance Storm and one pairing her with John Cena.
• Vindicated by History: Dawn Marie tended to get lumped in with the untrained models during her time in WWE. Respect for her wrestling has grown over the years, and she's remembered fondly as both a wrestler and a Ms. Fanservice.
