• Ass Pull: Kazuki's Cerberus form and how it was achieved. There is never any prior mention of Sherbet or Axel being able to perform Soul Power that would allow them to activate this form for Kazuki.
• No Yay:
  • Shadow Kazuki and Kazuki. See Squick.
  • Sherbet and Elliot. While choking Sherbet, Elliot explains that the only way to be freed is for her to beg him to. However, Sherbet refuses and tells him to bite her which earns her a choke-slam onto the floor. Elliot then gets uncomfortably close to her face to the point that the tanuki can feel his breath on her as he comments how lucky she is that he's taken a liking to her.
  • Kazuki and Xiomara. Xiomara's fascination with Kazuki in the Brazen Youths Arc is so extreme that you can't blame Blanc for viewing the human as a love rival. This is made squicky when you take into account their ages with Kazuki being 15 and Xiomara 19.
• Squick:
  • Kazuki being attacked by Shadow Kazuki. The scene is made uncomfortable with the astral nudity and all the unwanted touching on Shadow Kazuki’s part.
  • The rape of Rouge. It is not descriptive but the assault on her mind that happens before is pretty messed up.
  • When it is revealed that Neo sexually assaulted his mother after killing her and kept her magically preserved corpse in his closet for years. Not to mention that he was twelve at the time. Rouge has the unfortunate luck of discovering her corpse dressed in a wedding dress.
  • Even though Neo was lying just to get Kazuki riled up, the thought of young, fifteen-year-old Oralee falling victim to the same fate as Nadia Edward is just too shocking to pass off.
• The Woobie
  • Kazuki is a Classical Anti-Hero who just wants to be normal. Not only was he condemned to a school just to die there, but he also was hit with an existential crisis after learning that he was made to be just a body for a demon’s reincarnation.
  • Rouge with her backstory and her major Trauma Conga Line in the Underworld Arc. It is revealed in the Alternate Continuity Another Story that Rouge is fated to die at the age of fifteen in every universe no matter what.
  • Sherbet to an extent with how she is constantly overshadowed by her two male squad members. She even ends up hurting herself in an attempt to show her worth to the group.
  • Rey to the point of becoming a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.
