YMMV / Carry On Behind

Go To

  • Common Knowledge: It was believed that Sid James and Barbara Windsor were dropped from the Carry On... Series starting from this film due to being too old to play their usual roles but were both cast in this film and had to drop out due to filming dates conflicting with stage work out of the UK.
  • Retroactive Recognition:
    • Clive is played by Larry Dann, who would later be best known for playing Sergeant Peters in The Bill.
    • The barman at the Riverside Club is played by Kenneth Waller, who would later be best known for playing Old Mr. Grace in Are You Being Served? and Grandad in Bread.
    • The plasterer working on the Riverside Club is played by Johnny Briggs, who would later be best known for playing Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street.
    • A wife at Professor Crump's lecture is played by Brenda Cowling, who would later be best known for playing Mrs. Lipton in You Rang, M'Lord?.
  • Sequelitis: Now considered the point where the series went into a terminal decline, though at least it has the benefit of just being considered mediocre rather than dreadful, as England, Emmannuelle and Columbus usually are.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Despite Arthur and Daphne's clashes being a main plot thread of the film, Linda Upmore, their wife and daughter respectively, has precious little to do in regard to their plot. Even more jarringly is that when Daphne is reunited with Barnes, her estranged husband (and Linda's father), Linda doesn't get a single line of dialogue with him.
