YMMV / Blue's Big City Adventure

Go To

  • Awesome Music: Every song in the film, especially the rock arrangement of the Blue's Clues & You! theme song performed by Alex Winter.
  • Common Knowledge: Some people seem to believe that Rainbow Puppy's Musical Director is a case of As Himself for B.D. Wong, but he is never referred as that neither on the movie nor official material, being always called “Director”, both on screen, in the credits and on IMDB.
  • Crossover Ship: You might see some people shipping Steve x Bill after seeing the interactions between Steve and the unnamed Taxi Driver who was played by Alex Winter.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: Many of the older fans are watching the film for Steve's return.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Blue's Clues: No Way Home.explanation .
  • Narm Charm: The B-plot is about Mr. Salt, Steve, and Joe trying to deliver the Handy-Dandy Notebook to Josh. It should sound childish but also heartwarming that everyone is willing to go so far as to help Josh.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • During Mr. Salt's song, he tears up when he sings about how alone he will be on the journey to New York City, until he is assured that he isn't.
    • The normally Keet Josh finding out he had missed his chance to sing in a Broadway musical after a janitor tells him he missed the audition.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Rainbow Puppy of all characters is seen this way by some fans. You see, although she is portrayed as sympathetic for her sadness regarding Josh's delay, she informed Josh about the audition on short notice and expected for him to arrive in a city completely new to him, which even Josh is capable of recognizing as impossible if Mr. Salt didn't call the Skidoo Express. That's without even getting into the fact that she clearly went into auditions for the musical's lead knowing that she didn't want anyone other than Josh, based solely on the fact that they are friends even though he had no experience in the field (which the musical's director criticizes), immediately giving up when Josh is unable to arrive, thus rendering the audition process completely pointless.
