  • Josh addresses a bottle of mustard as "Madame Mustard," then greets the large actual woman looming over the non-animated mustard bottle.
    • He also at one point tries to converse with a non-animated salt and pepper shaker pair, believing them to be Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper, then freaks out when one the kids at the table grabs the salt and shakes it on their fries. After he leaves, the two shakers then become Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper.
    • He follows this up with trying to interrogate a trash can about the location of his notebook, followed by a coffee cup, both of which also then become animate.
  • Josh asks a man which way it is to the theater. The man points out that there are over one hundred theaters in New York City.
  • "We put it on our Notebook... if we had one. ... We put in our Notebook... or not."
  • Joe asks Steve what he thinks of his New York City present store. Steve replies that he thinks it's lovely, "But the rent in New York, it must be..." Joe says that every day is a gift... that you pay for.
  • Steve teases Joe about time he couldn't figure out the answer to Blue's Clues when the clues were a duck, a duck, and a goose. Joe replies that a duck, a duck, and a goose could be anything and that it was Steve who did this.
  • The fact that after finding all three clues to get to the theater, necessary because he lost his Notebook that had this info, Josh sits down in the Central Park Thinking Chair and recites all three clues from memory, the purpose of the Notebook normally being to keep a record of said clues.
  • Steve says that he's going to have a pretzel. "Really?" asks an exasperated Joe. Steve replies that it's complex carbs and that it helps him think. He tells Joe to respect the process.
Joe: The carbs could not be simpler. But you know what? You do you.
    • Steve then follows this up by saying he's going to have some mustard also and proceeds to pick up a talking mustard squeezer and use it, conversing with it as if it's nothing.
  • When Steve comes across people playing jump rope, he manages to cross by jumping, Mr. Salt and Slippery manage to do the same... but Tickety trips and falls down flat on her face.
