Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Frost Fight! is a 2015 Marvel Animation Christmas Special featuring Antony Del Rio reprise his role as Reptil.

The Avengers, along with Reptil. A "Junior Avenger" in training and the two bounty hunters, Rocket Raccoon and Groot try and stop Loki and his frost giant ally, Ymir. Before the pair can conquer the Nine Realms, using the powers of Santa Claus to do so.

Tropes applying to Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Frost Fight!

  • Actual Pacifist: Jolnir aka Santa Claus is able to win his fight with Loki thanks to his surprisingly powerful magic. The fact that Santa would prefer to defuse the situation nonviolently is basically the only reason Loki is able to get the drop on him.
  • Artifact of Doom: The Casket of Ancient Power, an ancient object capable of transferring power from one person to another, which Loki and Ymir go looking for. With Loki planning to use the chest to transfer the powers of Santa Claus to himself.
  • Badass Pacifist: Santa Claus, surprisingly enough. While a truly kind and jolly fellow, has the power to render Loki's magic useless.
  • Badass Santa: Santa is kind and compassionate, regardless. He can go toe to toe with Asgardians and Frost Giants if he wants.
  • Big Bad: Loki, who ultimately becomes a grave threat to Christmas when he attempts to steal the powers of Santa Claus.
  • Cool Old Lady: Mrs. Claus, who enjoys baking cookies, giving gifts... and piloting high speed spacecraft.
  • Brought Down to Normal: During the battle with Loki, Jolnir loses his magic. Though he gets his powers back thanks to the efforts of the Avengers, along with Rocket and Groot.
  • Child Hater: Though never brought up before (unless you count his hate towards Spider-Man) Loki seems particularly vicious when he taunts and threatens Reptil.
  • Christmas Elves: Athidel, Malitri and the other members of the Emerald Guard are an obvious twist. They even guard a place called, Mount Jolly.
  • Christmas Special
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Iron Man is a gender inversion; once he meets the real-life Santa Claus, he defrosts.
  • The Dragon: Ymir, to Loki.
  • Friend to All Children: Thor and Hulk greatly enjoy handing out gifts to children. Also, Santa Claus himself, naturally.
  • Fun-Hating Villain: Loki seems to outright hate the simple joys that Christmas brings so much, even the frost giant Yimr doesn't appear to hate it as much as Loki.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: Santa attempts to appeal to Loki's supposed buried good nature by giving him a gift. Seconds later, Loki tricks the man and attacks him. Something that the Avengers find low, even for someone like him.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Tony (Iron Man) starts off as a firm believer that Santa Claus isn't real, stating several times that it scientifically impossible. Though he eventually warms up after meeting the man himself.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Loki. As he attempted to steal Santa's powers. When Santa presented him with a gift. Loki at first pretends to appreciate it, only to attack Santa when his guard is down.
  • Mistaken Identity: While searching for the real thing, Thor and Hulk stumble upon a toy store employee, Nick. Who they mistake for the genuine article. Poor Nick tries to explain the truth to the pair. But Thor and Hulk remain convinced he's the real Santa Claus.
  • Mrs. Claus: Rocket and Groot run into Mrs. Claus while bounty hunting.
  • Never Say "Die": A rather interesting variation. As it also involves everyone trying to stay alive, by hugging. Which Iron Man and Thor are adamantly against:
Iron Man: Is there any way to do this without hugging?
Hulk: This hug is saving your life.
Iron Man: Then I'd rather perish!
    Thor: As would I!
Captain Marvel: Stop complaining and hug for your life!
