After catching her boyfriend with another woman, Han Guk-hwa promptly breaks up with him and expects to never see him again. What she didn't expect was to keep thinking about the woman who was with her ex and develop a begrudging crush on her.
Jang Mi, the crush in question, also didn't expect to see such a beautiful girl approach her and finds herself thinking that she could do so much better than the scumbag Guk-hwa was dating.
After accidentally meeting again, the two find themselves falling for each other as they explore a new relationship together, while also dealing with issues from their pasts and former relationships...and each other's fiery tempers.

- Jang Mi's parents have been shown to at least be neglectful and using emotional blackmail. More detail is shown in Chapter 74, where her mother mistakes Jang Mi to be dating a classmate and utterly refuses to listen to her daughter's side of the story before hitting Jang Mi so hard, she loses consciousness. Her mother even tries to find a cane to beat her daughter with.
- Not a parent, but a grandparent. Guk-hwa's grandmother outright refused to help her daughter with her child, and it's shown that she might have done something to hurt Guk-hwa when she was a child. Guk-Hwa's mother herself suffered a lot of physical abuse from the woman, something Guk-hwa blames herself for.
- Esther is also shown to have had a rocky background that still affects her adult life, mainly because of disagreements in life choices.
- Berserk Button: She has a lot, but mentioning the fact that she doesn't have a dad will make Guk-hwa hurt you.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Played With Kim Jae-hee hides her less savory personality from Guk-hwa because she believes that Guk-hwa likes her as a nice girl.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Both Guk-hwa and Jang Mi seem to have them.
- Guk-hwa's father left when she was young (or was never around to begin with), causing her and her mother to live in poverty. She had to witness her grandmother beating and berating her mother and refusing to do anything to help their situation. It's also implied that her grandmother may have also tried to hurt her before. There is also her teacher, the first person to really help Guk-hwa with her troubled mental state and took care of her for three years, dying.
- Jang Mi came from a rather dysfunctional home where her father was rarely around and a spendthrift. Her mother was also shown to be emotionally and physically abusive. It's also heavily implied that she had to deal with a lot of superficial friendships and bullying during her teenage years due to her good looks.
- Dirty Coward: Hwan-hee He's terrified of Guk-hwa so focuses on Jang-mi for his aggression.
- Disappeared Dad: Guk-hwa's father left when she was either really young or just born.
- Dub Name Change: The official English translation by Tapas changes everyone's Korean names into western names. In the case of Guk-hwa and Jang Mi their names are changed into their literal translations of Chrysanthemum (Chrissy for short) and Rose.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Su-man is short and rather feminine looking. This gets him a lot of teasing from his male co-workers.
- Easily Forgiven: Despite the fact that Jae-hee went far past what could be considered acceptable behavior in her stalking of Guk-hwa, Guk-hwa herself has forgiven her and even tries to continue their friendship. Even, Jang-mi supports the idea of the two remaining friends.
- The Fashionista: Despite being rather tomboyish, Guk-hwa really likes clothes and fashion.
- Gayngst: Downplayed. Guk-hwa and Jang Mi both don't have any problem dating a woman and treat it as something natural, indicating that they're comfortable with their sexualities. However, they both keep their relationship under wraps from the public and seldom talk about it to others because same-sex relationships are still looked down upon in Korea and could get them both in professional and social trouble. This is especially concerning for Guk-hwa when her stalker coworker/friend reveals that she knows about their relationship because she knows it could ruin both of their careers and social lives.
- Good Is Not Nice: Both Guk-hwa and Jang Mi are generally decent people, genuinely want to be good to each other, and want their loved ones to be happy. However, if you're a jerk to them or to the people they care about, expect them to get angry and fire a string of insults and threats at you.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Most of Jae-hee's obsession with Guk-hwa comes from her jealousy Guk-hwa and Jang Mi's relationship.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: It doesn't take much to set Guk-hwa or Jang Mi off.
- Hidden Depths:
- Guk-hwa comes off as violent, short-tempered, and rude, but she usually only behaves that way when she sees injustices happen (i.e. sexual harassment, cheating exes who don't take responsibility for their actions, etc.) or when someone's unnecessarily being a jerk. She also proves to be a very affectionate and considerate girlfriend when she starts dating Jang Mi, which implies that she was most likely like that with her ex-boyfriend.
- Jang Mi also comes off as short-tempered, sarcastic, and somewhat cold upon first impressions, but she initially asked Guk-hwa out because she genuinely thinks that she doesn't deserve a scumbag cheater like Hwan-hee and that she would be a way better partner. She holds up to her word when she and Guk-hwa start dating, proving to be just as affectionate and considerate. She's also very loyal to her best friend, Esther, having been there to support her throughout her rough family situations since high school and becoming her business partner because she promised Esther she would always be there for her.
- Esther is a laidback and happy-go-lucky Cloud Cuckoo Lander who gives her business partner and personal assistant a hard time, but is also perceptive, intelligent, and ambitious with her life goals, as well as constantly bothered by her difficult family situation.
- Insecure Love Interest: Surprisingly, Guk-hwa is this for Jang Mi, because of her experience of being treated like she's unwanted and troublesome by her grandmother. She frequently questions if Jang Mi will be happier without her in her life. It also doesn't help that Guk-hwa has a tendency to get involved with the worst people that actively try to sabotage their relationship.
- Lady Looks Like a Dude: Esther. She's about 178-180 cm (5'10"-5'11") and dresses in gender neutral or masculine fashion. This causes some of her male employees to talk smack about her behind her back.
- Never My Fault: Hwan-hee blames Jang Mi for his break up with Guk-hwa. When he tries to tell Guk-hwa this she states that this is a recurring problem of his.
- Oblivious to Love: Guk-hwa has an extremely hard time noticing peoples feelings for her.
- Pair the Suitors: the main premise of the romance— Guk-Hwa finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her, and dumps him, only to end up in a romance with the other woman.
- Plot-Inciting Infidelity: Catching Guk-hwa's cheating ex-boyfriend, Hwan-hee, in the act is what kickstarts the plot.
- Psycho Ex-Boyfriend: Not initially, but after their break-up, Guk-hwa continuously rejects any attempt Hwan-hee does to win her back, causing the latter to gradually become more unhinged and desperate. It gets to the point where Hwan-hee resorts to physical violence with Guk-hwa and jumps Jang Mi in a dark alley.
- Rejected Apology: Hwan-hee tries to apologize to Guk-hwa several times following their break-up, but is always rejected.
- A more dramatic version happens in the aftermath of his assaulting Jang Mi. After Jang Mi tells him that she will be pressing charges, Hwan-hee gets on his knees and begs for forgiveness (though, it should be noted that this is only a ploy, as his inner thoughts indicate that he is only doing it for show). Jang Mi essentially tells him to piss off.
- Slap-Slap-Kiss: Guk-hwa and Jang Mi originally start off their relationship like this, but as they spend more time with each other, it's significantly downplayed and portrayed as more playful.
- Stalker with a Crush: Kim Jae-Hee for Guk-hwa. It almost slides into Psycho Lesbian territory, but Jae-hee has enough morality to realize she is being a terrible person.
- Vitriolic Best Buds:
- Jang Mi and Esther have been each other's best friend since at least high school and have stuck together through thick and thin, but you can always expect Jang Mi to have a snide remark ready and Esther ready to tease Jang Mi.
- Guk-hwa and Jang Mi also can hit this trope, they truely love one another but thanks to their Hair-Trigger Temper they also constantly piss each other off.
- Yuri Genre: The story is about two bi-sexual women falling in love despite their inability to get along.
