Webcomic / Section P

Go To

Section P is a webcomic created by James Bridger (AKA Cyberkitten01) in partnership with Paul Hoppe (AKA Beholder.) It is a spin-off of Bridger's previous work Kate Five, and is also a sister series of Tales to Behold.

The series follows the adventures of Section P, a team of superheroes led by the symbiote-wielding Kate Five, who battle the various alien and supernatural threats that plague New York City.

This series contains examples of:

  • Ambiguous Gender: Blue Knight was originally a man back in Medieval times who became reincarnated in the body of his modern female descendent. Currently, they identify as nonbinary, but they have pursued a relationship with Rhys, who is gay.
  • The Atoner: Kate was originally a supervillain, and her actions resulted in the deaths of several people. She's been trying to atone for that ever since.
  • Back from the Dead: After being dead for a while, Kate Five suddenly returns to life thanks to her connection with her symbiote, just in time for the birth of her lover Centennia's daughter.
  • Boom, Headshot!: Kate Five is shot in the head by the villain Ohmega, and remains dead for quite some time before her symbiote resurrects her.
  • The Cape: Centennia and Captain Perfect are both versions of this trope. Centennia is a straight example, being powerful and altruistic, while Captain Perfect is a parody; while he is powerful, he's also a major ass.
  • Cat Girl: Burst Lion is a young girl with the ability to assume a cat-like form.
  • Funetik Aksent: Aideen O'Neill speaks with a heavy Irish accent, as should probably be expected given her Celtic roots.
  • Heteronormative Crusader: Phantom Pistoleer was magically trapped within her guns for years after her female paramour's father disapproved of their coupling.
  • Homosexual Reproduction: Using her symbiote, Kate is able to impregnate her girlfriend Centennia, which results in Centennia giving birth to a daughter who will grow up to be Claire Jones from Tales to Behold.
  • Really Gets Around: The crew of Section P and their allies in the Odds do a lot of bed-hopping.
  • Reincarnated as the Opposite Sex: The Blue Knight was a man back in their previous life, but reincarnated in the body of their own modern female descendant.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: Cassandra runs around wearing only her symbiote as a costume. Even when it's covering her whole body, it's form-fitting, but she usually exposes a lot of skin.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Kate Jones and her sister Kimberly are both tall and muscular beauties.
