"Someone stole their bodies. That's not very nice."

Les Dissociés is a 2015 french comedy film published on YouTube by the creation group Suricate, composed of Raphael Descraques, Julien Josselin and Vincent Tirel.

It tells the story of a couple, Ben and Lily , who gets their bodies stolen from them, and thus awaken in new bodies and with a 5 year old girl in a 30 year old man's body called Magalie in their house. The rest of the movie follows the three of them as they meet other "Nobodies" ("un dissocié" in french, literally "a split up"), people who can change bodies at will, and searching for their original bodies.

Les Dissociés provides examples of:

  • Ax-Crazy: Milo, the Big Bad of the movie, is unstable and talks to himself via the bodies he controls
  • Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: One of the Nobodies, Serge, is all but said to be Serge Gainsbourg in a new body.
  • Body Snatcher: The basis of the movie: a single touch and both souls get swapped. Note that it is possible for two consenting Nobodies to swap bodies without contact, but it's a high level move.
  • The Cameo: A lot of french video makers can be seen playing TV personalities, such as Antoine Daniel, Mathieu Sommet, Grégoire Ludig ans David Marsais, FloBer and more. When they all get possessed by the Big Bad, it gets a lot creepier
  • Creepy Monotone: When Milo talks through a possessed body, he displays this. Except when it's his neighbour's body, which he uses to talk to himself.
  • Demonic Possession: The Big Bad's power: controlling multiple bodies. The host's soul is still here, but is unconscious and can't act. The only way to break possession is to punch the victim in the face
  • Department of Redundancy Department:
Chantal: Okay, I'm the boss here. I even have a badge that says boss (shows said badges), so I'm the boss.
  • Disney Death: Magalie apparently dies during the climax, but awakens at the last second to stop Milo from escaping
  • Grand Theft Me: A Nobody can swap with anyone, even if they don't want to. That's basically what happens to the protagonists.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Lily tries this on a possessed Magalie. It doesn't work.
  • Layman's Terms:
Chantal: Okay, but you know the procedure, right?
Gwen: Yes. We need insignificant beings with no ambition, with no professional, political, or personal influence whatsoever which could have positive impact on society
    Chantal: Too long
Sacha: Basically, we need two space-wasting losers who suck more than a baby on a nipple.
  • Not a Morning Person: Even though the two main characters wake up with different bodies...it takes them a few minutes in their Morning Routine to notice it.
  • Power Levels: Georges rates other Nobodies with levels. Chantal, however, insists there are no levels (maybe because Georges rates him as level 2)
  • Power Perversion Potential: Lea is a nobody who likes to take male bodies and...use them.
  • Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: Chantal sells the other Nobodies to Milo, in exchange for the knowledge on possession. But Milo doesn't have time to waste on teaching
  • Viral Transformation: When a nobody swaps with a normal person, that person becomes a nobody as well.
Magalie: (points at two candies) That's your souls.(points at two empty glasses, with the candies in it) That's your bodies. What happened was that: (swaps the candies). And now, you can put your soul wherever you want.
  • Younger Than They Look: Magalie is 5 and a half years old. But she got swapped with a 30 years old man.
