• Channel Hop: Was originally announced to be debuting on Boomerang's paid subscription service with its premiere planned for 2019. But once WBA executives started to feel shame for the final product, it was cancelled before it had even aired. It missed its initial premiere date, and would start airing in other countries such as Canada & the UK before it was decided to release the show via HBO Max as a "Max Original," almost three years after character designer Will Terrell first revealed its cancellation on Instagram.
• No Budget: The series has a very small budget, which resulted in the voice cast constantly having to play multiple roles.
• The Original Darrin: During some early Cartoon Network commercials, Jeff Bergman voiced Mr. Slate, but he was replaced by John O'Hurley in The Flintstones Stone Age Smackdown. Jeff once again voices him in this series.
• The Other Darrin: Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm get new voice actors, Jessica DiCicco and Ely Henry respectively, instead of Russi Taylor and Eric Bauza respectively, despite the latter coming back to voice Dino. ^note  Some might say the former casting is because of Russi Taylor's death, except the pilot was first leaked online back in September 2018, almost a year before her death.
• Role Reprise: The series sees the return of Jeff Bergman (Fred/Mr. Slate), Kevin Michael Richardson (Barney), Tress MacNeille (Wilma) , Grey DeLisle Griffin (Betty), and Eric Bauza (Dino) .
• Screwed by the Network: This show, Wacky Races (2017) and Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz were abruptly cancelled in 2018 more than likely as a safety measure in case the Appeals Court ordered AT&T to sell off Turner. Out of the three, this was the only show to be cancelled before even premiering. HBO Max screwed it in August 2022, by removing it along with many other family-targeted shows.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm originally had more rounded features and were young kids before becoming preteens.
  • According to artist Serapio Calm, while the series was still finding its developmental footing, it potentially had an Animesque direction in mind. Pebbles was given a piranha plant whip, while the dinosaur designs were more fantastical colors and designs akin to Digimon.
  • According to character designer Chris Battle, Captain Caveman originally had a design closer to his familiar appearance. However, alongside an Alien Hunter design, they were rejected.
  • Due to the show's cancellation after 1 season, some of the long-term plans ended up not going through. These include:
    • According to Steve Clemmons, there was a plan for a 3 episode arc that would've had the caveman eventually become Captain Caveman, such as how he joined the circus.
    • The character of Shayley, as revealed by Joan Ford, is transgender. The plan was to make her part of Pebbles and Bamm Bamm's circle of friends before casually revealing that she's transgender in her second appearance.
    • A piece of concept art by Chris Battle◊ indicates that Baby Puss was slated to appear in the series, although he doesn't in any of the finished episodes.
• Word of Gay: Shaley from the episode "Dawn of the Disposals" was revealed to be trans online.
