• The Other Darrin:
  • Like in previous episodes, Volstagg and Drax are both voiced by Fred Tatasciore rather than their respective live-action actors.
  • Fandral is voiced by Max Mittelman rather than Josh Dallas or Zachary Levi.
  • Hogun is voiced by David Chen rather than Tadanobu Asano.
  • Josette Eales voices Frigga in this episode, rather than her usual actress Rene Russo.
  • Like in Episode 3, Captain Marvel is voiced by Alexandra Daniels instead of Brie Larson.
  • In the Brazilian dub, Maria Hill is voiced by Sylvia Sallusti, as her usual voice actress Marcia Coutinho voices Frigga. And Helena Palomanes replaces her sister Luisa Palomanes in Darcy's voice.
  • In the Italian dub, Surtur is voiced by Massimo Corvo instead of Roberto Fidecaro.
• Role Reprise:
  • Jeff Goldblum, Rachel House and Clancy Brown return as the Grandmaster, Topaz and Surtur respectively, who all were last seen (or heard in Brown's case) in Thor: Ragnarok.
  • Natalie Portman makes an official return to her role as Jane Foster after last appearing in Thor: The Dark World, and only recording a small part of dialogue set during that time in Avengers: Endgame, ahead of her live-action return in Thor: Love and Thunder.
  • Fred Tatasciore has been Volstagg's voice actor ever since The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
• What Could Have Been:
  • According to the documentary series, Marvel Studios: Assembled, the creative team was struggling to properly execute a "What If Thor Was Never Banished?" story. MCU character designer Ryan Meinerding sketched out a potential character design for this Thor, who was described as being more evil. Once writer A.C. Bradley saw the sketch, she thought it made Thor look less "evil", and more like "a douchebag". This reinterpretation ultimately led to finalizing this alternate Thor as being a frat-boy, whose irresponsible galactic parties cause inadvertent trouble.
  • A.C Bradley wanted to find a way to include Hela in this episode, particularly during the scenes in Las Vegas. She was spurred away from this from fellow writer Matt Chauncey, who felt that Hela deserved to headline her own episode if Cate Blanchett were to reprise the character, which lead to the creation of the Season 2 episode "What If...Hela Found the Ten Rings?"
