  • Acting for Two: Beauty Stem and Panther Cap are both voiced by Sonja Ball.
  • Children Voicing Children: The then 10-year old Bryn McAuley as Oyster.
  • Cross-Regional Voice Acting: As an Ottawa-based production, the show used a mixture of Montreal and Ottawa-based talents (Montreal is only a 2-hour drive from Ottawa), but unlike many other Ottawa-produced shows, it also features the Toronto-based Bryn McAuley (Oyster) and Vancouver's Long John Baldry (Mistle Toad) in its main cast.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The show has never been re-ran post-2000s or fully released on DVD. Only one VHS is known to have been released and there are only three DVD releases - each containing three episodes from the first season, for a total of 9 episodes out of 13 in that season. One of these is pictured on the main entry. The show fell into copyright limbo in the late 2000s after several of the production companies went out of business. And to add salt to the wound, the DVDs are out of print and sell for outrageous prices online. In addition, several Season 1 and 2 episodes are only available online dubbed into French or Croatian. The only other way to watch the show would be through tape trading or tracking down off-air recordings of the show.
  • The Character Ice Cream Bar: There was briefly a line of ice cream products called Toad Patrol Cream Pops.
  • Screwed by the Network: In the United States, the show was aired on Toon Disney in the early afternoon hours, such as 1 P.M., a time when the target audience would theoretically be asleep. The dark undertones of the series might have had something to do with this.
