• Approval of God: Many of those parodied in Hillywood's videos have shown appreciation for them, such as David Tennant (the Tenth Doctor).
• Ability over Appearance: Hilly Hindi will always play the main character, regardless of how similar she looks to the character she is portraying. Assisted by the help of makeup, costuming, and voiceovers to make her appear more like the original character.
• Casting Gag: Osric Chau cast as Sam Winchester in the Supernatural parodies.
• Dawson Casting: The 30-year-old Hilly Hindi playing the (physically) 15-year-old Five.
• Directed by Cast Member: The director of the parodies, Hannah Hindi, often plays roles in them as well, e.g Alice and John Watson.
• The Other Darrin: In The Twilight Saga parodies, Edward is played by Jacob Jost for the parodies of the first three movies, before being replaced with Austin Clay in the last two.
  • Jacob is played by Joseph Llewellyn in the first parody and Kyle Dayton for all subsequent parodies.
  • Emmett is played by a different actor in each parody.
• Parody Assistance:
  • The Supernatural cast joined the Hillywood Show in two of their parodies.
    • For the Supernatural parody, they also got the band Twenty One Two to record an extended parody of their previous Rock cover of Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off' for them, using the original instrumentation but rerecorded with the parody lyrics and extended for the outro of the song where the cast of the show dance to it.
  • In the Sherlock Parody, Steven Moffat, the writer of Sherlock appears at the end.
  • The actual costumes worn by the actors in Warm Bodies were used in the Warm Bodies Parody.
  • Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight Films) was a producer in the Breaking Dawn Part II parody.
