  • Actor-Shared Background: Iman Meskini (Sana) plays basketball in real life.
  • Ascended Fanon: Julie Andem has occasionally snuck scenes from fanart, or the fanart itself, into the show. Notably, the guys hanging out by the car at the beginning of season 4 is based on a scene from a fanart, so is Isak and Even standing in the doorway wearing matching shirts when Sana visits them later the season. On the wall in Isak and Even's home, a fanart of the two is also visible.
  • Dawson Casting: Averted as the majority of characters are played by actual teenagers, another of the show's praises. At most, some of the actors are only two or three years older than the age they portray.
  • Multi-National Shows: Has remakes in Germany, Italy, France, The Netherlands, and the U.S. The Other Wiki has a helpful chart.
  • Playing Against Type:
    • Ulrikke Falch, who plays Dumb Blonde Vilde, is very bright in real life, and runs a popular instagram account where she, among other things, makes fun of beauty ideals.
    • Grumpy, stoic Sana is played by Iman Meskini who is quite sweet and nearly always smiles in real life.
  • Write What You Know: The part in season 3 where Isak invites Jonas to eat kebab with him and confesses to him that he's gay was something that happened in real-life to one of the teenagers Julie interviewed for the show.
  • What Could Have Been: Originally the show was supposed to have 5 seasons, each one about one of the girls from the girl squad.
    • If the show had not been cancelled, the fifth season would have been about Vilde (and sixth and final season would then most likely have been about Girl-Chris).
    • Tarjei Sandvik Moe, who played Isak, auditioned for both the role of Isak and Jonas.
    • Tarjei and Ulrikke suggested that Isak and Vilde should hook up, but Julie said no. Imagine if she would have said yes.
    • Vilde, Noora and Jonas were originally supposed to have different personalities, but after the actors were casted for the roles, their personalities were changed.
