Trivia / Last Bronx

  • All-Star Cast: To the point where every actor involved with the game has their own page here!
  • Direct to Video: The Last Bronx live action film was released as a V-Cinema title, and was directed by Takashi Shimizu.
  • Dueling Works: Primarily with Soul Edge, which also featured weapons-based combat and was also among the first fighting games to utilize motion capture. While Last Bronx was much more popular in Japan, Soul Edge was more successful in other regions.
  • No Export for You:
    • The second disc of the Japanese Saturn version, which included extra training modes including one in the form of a classroom featuring chibi versions of the cast. The player could choose any character and pair them with whoever they wantednote , and both would explain the game's mechanics at length, observe what was happening on screen, provide their own commentary and argue with each other. The training classroom also included character introductions narrated by the chosen character. But considering the extensive translation that would be required (and the existing translation was questionable as it was), the contents of the second disc never made it outside Japan, although some of the training modes were implemented into the regular disc of the overseas release. It also didn't make the cut for the PC version and didn't return in the Sega Ages 2500 version.
    • As with several other titles in the series, the PS2 Sega Ages 2500 version stayed in Japan.
  • What Could Have Been: The weapon tracer effects were originally missing from the Saturn port of the game and Sega planned to release the game without them. However, after fans in Japan complained about it, Sega AM3 worked hard to get them in and succeeded without sacrificing performance.
