Defictionalization: Some of the nonsense words that Carroll made up, such as "chortled", are now in the Oxford English Dictionary.
I Am Not Shazam: The creature is called the Jabberwock not the Jabberwocky, an understandable mistake.
The Film
Market-Based Title: In some countries, the film was promoted and released as Monty Python's Jabberwocky, against the wishes of Terry Gilliam. After threats of legal action, the Python reference was removed from all subsequent reissues.
No Budget: On the DVD Commentary, Terry Gilliam said the budget was so small they could only afford one corridor. Many scenes were shot in a single take because the film didn't have enough time or money for multiple takes.
