I just wanted to tell you that I love you...
Moments pages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.
  • Goldia not only is amnesiac and unsure of what's going on, but everyone calls her out for things that she doesn't remember. And even if she did wrong them in the past, she more than goes out of her way to make up for it. On a higher note, if you take the good endings as canon, then that means Goldia either remembers who she is and can finally move on, or is reincarnated into a better world.
  • At one point in Fleta's area, you find a letter from Goldia's mother, expressing sorrow at the fact she cursed her daughter, and that she won't be able to accompany her "little girl" on her "painful journey". It's very depressing to think about Elise dying without any closure that her daughter is safe.
    • And even in the endings Goldia manages to accept herself and escape the Strange Boy's cluthes, Goldener Traum reveals Henri willingly became his servant. Poor Elise managed to save one of her children only to lose another.
  • Fleta's Good Ending: After losing musical chairs to Goldia, Fleta throws a temper tantrum, and is only calmed down by Egliette. Once Fleta does calm down, she starts expressing hurt that Goldia is going to abandon her again. However, Goldia tucks Fleta into bed and assures her that while Goldia has to find out who she is, she is sure they will meet again. So Fleta gives Goldia her regalia, asks to play again next time, and shatters.
  • Both of Harpae's Endings:
  • All about Lisette. Since she represents Goldia's mental illness and violence, she has to deal with everyone's contempt and Goldia using her as a scapegoat.
  • The Dawn Ending. Sure, Goldia has regained her sanity and memories, but she's still locked in a mental hospital. To make things worse, her parents are dead and her brother is gone, in mysterious circumstances that she never finds out. Even if she's hopeful, things won't be easy for her.
    • And according to Word of God, the curse is still going on and she'll never be free of it. But as long as she keeps her pocket mirror close, she'll be protected.
  • The Little Goody Two Shoes ending, with Goldia being reborn in an alternate timeline where Elise didn't make a contract with the demon. Seems happy, right? Well, according to Word of God, even though Elise didn't make a contract, nothing is stopping Goldia from doing the same, leaving her fate uncertain. And the end card for said ending in Goldener Traum heavily implies she did a contract with the Strange Boy after all. Someone give the poor girl a break!
  • The proud and pompous Roman is reduced to a sobbing wreck in one of the wax records, mourning Elise's death and lamenting that he was so concerned with keeping appearances that he didn't do anything to help his wife.
    • Roman's situation is pretty tragic if you think about it. First, his wife's selfish wish hexes their children. Then his daughter's sanity starts slipping and she breaks into three personalities. Then his wife dies. And then his son makes a contract with the Strange Boy in order to escape from the pressures. No wonder he became a depressed alcoholic in his final moments.
    • Made worse in Little Goody Two Shoes with the reveal that Elise's wish magically forced him to fall in love with her.
  • The fact that Henri made a contract with the same demon who ruined his family in the first place to escape from his controlling grieving father and a sister who didn't recognize him anymore.
