• One event sees an influx of migrants arrive in a province due to increased trade. The option to accept them? "Strike the earth!"
• Using the dev console command "power [x]" with [x] being the number to increase all power values by will result in the console replying with "UNLIMITED POWER!!!" before adding the values.
• The decision to unite Armorica notes that the region is "home to villages of indomitable Gauls" (and is indeed where the village is located in the comics).
• The decision to unite Albion rather anachronistically calls Britain a "sceptered isle."
• A Tale of Four Cities is one set of missions for Carthage, dealing with control over four subject city-states.
• Some graphical choices evoke Paradox's Europa Universalis, particularly the map colors of certain minor nations:
  • Arvernia, a Gallic tribe that historically produced Vercingetorix, the main leader of resistance to the Roman conquest, is in French blue.
  • Anglia, the Germanic tribe that would eventually overrun Britain, is in English red.
  • The entirely hypothetical formable country Greater Hispania is in Castilian yellow.

• Several of the achievements, as usual.
  • "The Spice Must Flow" - Controlling spice production as Mosylon.
  • Over 9000 - Have over 9000 pops.
  • What have the Romans ever done for us? - Own all of Palestine and have over 70 civilization in the area as Rome.
  • Render to Caesar - Take any province in war.
  • The Romans are crazy! - Form Gaul.
  • The Man Who Would be King - making Bactria independent and conquering Kafiristan. The icon is recreating the coronation costume.
  • Cincinnatus is an achievement for having a dictator coming to power during war and then voluntarily standing down.
  • Times New Roman for conquering as Rome provinces of Cariala, Italica and Helvetica.
  • Pyrrhic Victory - as Epirus, own the province of Rome.
  • Molon labe! - As Sparta, sack and then own Persepolis.
  • Catch Them All - have a pantheon consisting entirely of deified rulers.
  • Hall of the Mountain King - build a level 15 fort as Armenia.
