Shout-Out moments in BlazBlue Alternative: Remnant:

  • During initiation, when he realizes he and Noel are lost, Jaune's immediate thought is "Oh crapbaskets", which is the catchphrase of Gohan and Future Trunks from Dragon Ball Z Abridged.
  • After Ragna gets Jaune his book back from Team CRDL, he references Avengers: Endgame by saying "I see this as an absolute win" when Ruby calls him out on being too aggressive.
  • During her Big Damn Heroes moment in Chapter 27, Nora shouts "Hammer...DOWN!", which is shouted by Reinhardt when using his Ultimate.
  • The food fight in Chapter 35 is a shout-out to the Chowder episode "A Taste of Marzipan".
  • In Chapter 49, Ragna getting Jin's back to the blade of his scythe and repeatedly punching him is a nod to Maka and Crona's second battle in Soul Eater, where the former did the same to the latter.
  • Ragna and Ironwood's argument in Chapter 51 has one to the first episode of the third season of The Big Bang Theory, where Ragna calls Ironwood a dictator, and claims that he was being nice since he added the '-tator' to it.
  • Hazama/Terumi, after easily beating down on Adam and hearing his deluded worldview in Chapter 54, gives this one to Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
Terumi: Wow, it's not everyday you meet someone who lies so well that they manage to buy their own bullshit. It'd actually be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic. (Ponders for a moment) Eh, what the hell. I'll laugh anyway.
  • At the end of Chapter 56, Ragna and Luna flipping each other off in a good-natured manner as they say farewell is one to Dragon Ball Z Abridged where Trunks and Vegeta did the same in the finale.
  • Chapter 68 has Cardin argue with Qrow by telling him to "get on board, or get out of the way".
  • While watching the Black Beast lay waste to Vale from afar, Terumi thinks to himself "Oh what a day! What a lovely day!", and before that, he waves his hands around akin to a conductor, similar to the Millennium Major from Hellsing.
  • In Chapter 69, Relius tells Rachel, Valkenhayn, Qrow, and Glynda before they can apprehend him that "reality is often disappointing".
  • A number from Terumi in Chapter 70, such as him referencing Quan Chi from Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge by telling Ruby to "Put up a better fight than [her] mom did", as well as him giving a speech similar to Handsome Jack's in Borderlands 2 where he describes how he killed a man with a spoon, only here revolving around him killing Summer.
