Megatron prepares to make an army of the undead using a massive chunk of Dark Energon on the deceased back on the Autobots and Decepticons' homeworld of Cybertron. As such, Optimus and his team must make the ultimate stand to stop Megatron's plan.
Tropes:
- 10-Minute Retirement: Arcee's not ready to say goodbye to Jack just yet and manages to convince him to give being friends with giant alien robots another chance.
- Bittersweet Ending: In the end the Space Bridge and all of the zombies are successfully destroyed, and Megatron is presumed killed. But the rest of the Decepticons are alive, Cliffjumper is gone and with the destruction of the Space Bridge, the Autobots might never see their home again.
- The Blade Always Lands Pointy End In: Optimus's broken arm-blade pierces the metal structure sharp-end first during his fight with Megatron.
- Call-Back:
- Chekhov's Gun: Bulkhead saving Miko's life by tearing out one of the dishes on the hull of the Nemesis last episode ultimately helps the Autobots by forcing the Deceptions to use less sophisticated earth technology to activate their spacebridge.
- Cutting the Knot: Soundwave cuts the hardline to control the dishes after aligning them to make sure Raf cannot undo it.
- Dueling Hackers: Rafael and Soundwave go toe to toe while fighting over control of the Texas satellite array.
- Dragon Ascendant: With Megatron seemingly destroyed, Starscream declares himself in command of the Decepticons.
- Forgot About His Powers: Optimus has two retractable blades but only uses one against Megatron both would make it too hard to animate an even fight.
- Little "No": Megatron let's out a very deep one when he realizes his zombie army is about to be destroyed.
- No One Could Survive That!: After the Space Bridge explodes, Optimus openly assumes that Megatron could not have survived. All right, Optimus, if you say so...
- Out-of-Character Moment: Starscream of all people being concerned for Megatron's safety.
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!All. Hail. Starscream.
- Reverse the Polarity: Justified somewhat, as Energon is pretty volatile stuff.
- Stuff Blowing Up: The Space Bridge makes an explosion almost worthy of the Death Star.
- Villainous Breakdown: Megatron is left staring in shock and utter desperation when the Space Bridge begins to fall apart as his zombie army enters the space bridge portal trying to reach him.Megatron: My army...! No...!
- Wrecked Weapon: How Megatron defeats Optimus, his blade breaks Optimus' allowing him to get some free hits.
