Air date: December 17th, 2018 (UK)
Thomas wants to be just like Isla, a Flying Doctor's plane, who transports Dr. Claire to remote places where it's hard for patients to get to hospitals or doctors for treatment. But every time he gets to a patient, Isla manages to take them instead. However, his chance arrives while evacuating a town before a cyclone.
Tropes:
- Action Girl: Isla, who gets Dr. Claire to patients all over the country.
- Always Someone Better: Isla is this to Thomas because she's always ahead of him and always gets to be the hero.
- An Aesop: Everyone has something they are good at.
- Bait-and-Switch: Every time it looks like Thomas is about to be the hero, Isla always beats him.
- Big Damn Heroes: Isla, for always saving the day. Thomas later gets his moment when he saves the people of Katherine from a cyclone.
- Call-Back:
- In the And Knowing Is Half the Battle segment, Thomas recalls the events of "Best Engine Ever".
- Isla references "Outback Thomas".
- Determinator: Thomas.
- Fanboy: Aiden is excited when Isla arrives.
- Fangirl: Aubrey gets in on it as well.
- Humble Hero: Isla, who doesn't boast about her accomplishments, saying that it's nothing.
- Imagine Spot: Thomas has one where he has wings and helps people in need.
- It's What I Do: Isla says this when Shane praises her heroic actions.
- Literal-Minded: Thomas seems to think that the storm actually has an eye. Aiden explains that the eye of a storm is where it's calm for just a few minutes.
- This is true in Real Life as the eye of a cyclone/hurricane/typhoon is where the storm is the calmest, but the eye wall is where the storm is at its fiercest.
- Luminescent Blush: Thomas blushes when Isla mentions the events of "Outback Thomas".
- The Medic: Dr. Claire, who Isla helps transport.
- Never Smile at a Crocodile: A scary crocodile appears in Thomas' Imagine Spot.
- Pun: When Thomas' trucks are filled with rocks, Shane called him a rock star.
- Recycled Animation: Some shots from Thomas' Imagine Spot are recycled from his Imagine Spot from "The Other Side of the Mountain".
- Rule of Three: Thomas attempts to be a hero three times. The third time, he is successful.
